@nocturnalgrey Yeah I wish I had a garage like that :gtpflag: The graphics are definitely a big step up from GT6 the driver could be real :ill:
Constant graphics! No more flat trees or empty tracks, no more flickering shadows, etc. The replays at Bathurst in GT6 were amazing for a PS3 but too many flaws like shadows or flat trees. At each build, we see more spectators along the track for example. I hope to experience once again a GT3 with the graphics. (No dynamic weather/TOD unfortunately and still no heat haze...)

I am ok with GTS not having dynamic weather and time of day because I finally understand why everybody's wish list can't happen yet.

TOD is almost a deal breaker. At least few tracks should have it. Even 20-30mins with TOD makes a big difference.

Ironically they released passion of 24hrs - green hell video. But for some reason GTS is not having TOD. Hopefully the programmer can implement it as an update. Kaz has experienced this in real life and somehow he failed to have this in priority list :(

^^^ A few months left now of work hard on the new sounds, graphics, scapes and all the super premium cars, looks like they have the main build/graphics engine at 70% running and tested now from what they said. This now in place on the PS4 things like adding heat haze and dynamic weather/rain is possible afterwards?.
Drive Club managed to add weather and heat haze within the year after release though so you never know if they have already started working on it.

The dynamic TOD options on weather missing is a shame but I would rather have a smooth running high quality game and choose my time of day and weather to start with, I guess you can still change a few options on weather? we will have to wait and see.👍

.. .
Well, that 'some reason' is PS4. The Neo will correct this drawback surely.

I don't think it will. GT is a first party title and I don't see SONY being happy with its developer for throwing 50mn PS4 customers under the bus by adding Neo only features to the game.

If leaked documents are true they're not even allowed to, they say that Sony mandate that the feature set is the same for both versions. I'm pretty sure dynamic time and weather would be considered a different feature.

GTS will feature mechanical dynamic time/weather on PS4, but they'll only be graphically depicted on Neo.

Honestly, I feel every racing game out there can't win, regardless of what their product is like. There have been warning signs in Driveclub, Project Cars, Forza 6, and now GT Sport. This generation of consoles can't handle what is expected when it comes to frames per second, visual performance, and features.

I can see why the updated PlayStation and Xbox are on the horizon.

PS4 Neo to be revealed September 7th, I hope they don't aim 4k but rather "ultra" 1080p mode. GTSport replays are amazing but the gameplay graphics...I'm sure the thread comparison will be very active.

It's a rumor, for this moment.

And those who played at GT Sport, the vast majority were impressed by gameplay graphics and it's not the last build....

Neo will mainly serve for PS VR and that's why Kaz doesn't speak much in my opinion.

"Sony will reveal the first details on an upgraded PlayStation 4 at a September 7 event in New York, French gaming website Gameblog reported today. VICE Gaming can confirm that it's heard the same information from multiple sources familiar with the planned rollout for the new machine. These sources chose to remain anonymous because they are not authorized to speak publicly about Sony's plans."

In my experience, Gameplanet is very reputable.
If they feel there's enough reason for them to report the news item, I'ld say it's fair to suggest the rumour is firming up.

All sites cite same source: Gameblog.

And Gameblog is low reliability. We'll see if other serious sites confirm it later....
I know this website is full of clickbaits unfortunately but Vice confirms it. (If you want traffic, clickbaits everywhere but the journalists behind are pro IMO. It's just how Internet works nowadays.)

If there is to be a GT Sport Neo Edition, the game better have everything including the kitchen sink.

A rumour is also that Gran Turismo Sport will probably be delayed. This according to Playfront.de

I am actually expecting it to be honest. If the game doesn't get delayed, it will be a pleasant surprise.

When GT6 released, a fair amount of people were sure that'd be the case for a PS4 GT game, too.

If GT Sport is Neo compatible, it won't vary too much from the regular PS4 version, based on all the leaked info relating to Neo so far. Slightly improved performance, sure, but no exclusive features. If Sony is pushing it as a system that works in the existing PS4 ecosystem, it can't very well have something like variable weather if the the vanilla version doesn't, since players from both systems are supposedly going to be able to play against one another.

If it's only slightly improvements, what would be the point in buying a ps4 neo? IMO, there must be a big gap betwen the two versions. Maybe the biggest change will be the PSVR mode.

I don't know, i don't think that the game will be delayed because of the PS4 Neo.

I was watching a footage fom Battlefield 1 Alpha comparing the PS4 version and the PC version with verything on Ultra. I must say, the PS4 does a really good job!! Of course on the PC it looks better but, the major differences are the water reflections on the ground and textures from a very close distance(putting the face on the walls), even the PS4's draw distance is matching the PC version.

So no, i won't expect that much difference from the GTS on PS4/Neo, performance at least for now, will be more affected by it, i guess.

PS4 Neo isn't PS5.

GT Sport may have a slightly better AA or LOD but that's all.

As I say, I think that the difference will be mainly for VR where it need more performance. Moreover, in the first leak, if you remember, in the case of GT Sport, insider spoke about VR only.

Then again, you wonder why Kaz doesn't want mention VR ? I have my own idea ;)
