All signs point to a transformation from PS3 to PS4.
Make of that what you will.

When that happens no-one knows.

But it seems that PD are moving in that direction.
And there are many signs that seem to suggest that this is exactly what's happening.

If I were to chase the latest clip from PD that showed a change in PEGI rating, it would be no surprised that it was a concept clip of GT6.

The signs are there.

The only official glimpse we'll get is when PD is on a stage at whichever event they so choose and are officially revealing the next title in the Gran Turismo series. Until then, all we can do is hope for some slip ups like the Bugatti trailer.

Yeah it is, just compared it. And you clearly see him push the PS button too.
Before GT5 was out we saw videos where Kaz was driving around Nurb from GT4 in GT5 engine with GT5 cars... That was simple because track wasn't finished in terms of modeling... Than in GT5 we receive Nurb build form scratch... Also as I wrote some day's a go... In 2005 E3 PD showed as Vision GT trailer(GT5 at begining of development) that was basically GT4 with HD graphic and more car's on track...

I don't remember which interview it was, but it was prior to GT6 release when Kaz had stated the new engine for GT6 was built to be used for future games and on a newer platform as it was modular in design and could more easily be worked/updated when needed. Might have been at the GT6 reveal.

Either way, the GT6 engine, modified slightly to accept PS4's architecture is what GT7 will most likely be running on.

Yeah, I believe he also said that GT7 would run on GT6's physics engine.

Yeah... they tried to disguise it, but forgot the light shined on the TV screen and couldn't do much about that. I didn't even notice the sound until you mentioned it and then I went back to try to hear it. It's such a brief sound that unless you're intently listening for it, you're not going to hear it.

I don't have the default theme on my PS4 so I don't even hear that sound even though I play on almost a daily basis on that system.

Actually, it's in your face.
There is nothing else going on in that point of the clip.

Something needed to be implemented at that point.
Or simply add no sound at all.
They chose a PS4 sound.
Deliberate decision, and I see no other option.

*Edit*
I notice you are no longer arguing it's a GT6 sound.
Therefore, why include it?

To claim you play PS4 and don't recognise that sound, is I'm afraid to say, beyond belief.
It is without doubt a purely PS4 sound.

To add it into a VGT clip, and no doubt most sounds in a VGT clip are post edited, is a concsious and deliberate decsion.

I was simply pointing out how this fact has been somewhat overlooked in this thread.

I can't see how i can emphasise this point anymore than I have.
So I'll leave it up to you guys to discuss, if you feel it's worthy of discussion.

Whoever was editing clearly forgot about it needing to be removed.

This is the thing that confuses me:

If we're saying that the sound was deliberately edited in to hint at this being a PS4 release, why would the lightbar be edited out of the shots of the DS4? If you're hinting this to be a PS4 game, why not make every possible hint obvious and leave the lightbar in? Likewise, if you're trying to hide that it's a PS4, why edit in a sound from the PS4 OS?

I'm not saying it was deliberately edited in, I'm saying it was unintentionally not edited out.

It was overlooked because no one noticed. How many times do I have to say that?

Say it as many times as you wish.
But once again, I submit to you it was a conscious decision.
The fact that sound bite is present doesn't detract from the fact the sound was purposely implimented into the clip.
And not just any sound, but a specific and highly recognised PS4 sound.

They would literally have to search that sound to be impemented.
It's not a 'whoopsie'.

So either the game was running on PS4, which is the intention of this thread, or it wasn't.
If it wasn't, there seems a clear intention to imply that these cars will be.

I'm out.

"Highly recognized PS4 sound". That's not the startup sound, it's a menu sound in the system settings. Not exactly going to be something "highly recognized".

Two possibilities here, IMO. The first, being that the PS4 PS button sound was edited in.

The second is that the PS4 was wired up to speakers, and PD or Bugatti either put that gameplay on the TV screen over the PS4 OS in editing.

Now that seems unlikely, so I'm probably going to have to go with the first possibility, although having looked at the video again, it sort of looks like the video has been edited over the TV screen, but I can't tell for sure though.

I also can't tell if the PS4 is on or not, but that sound we're hearing is definitely the sound of the PS button being pushed.

EDIT: The sound is identical to the sound you can hear if you hold down the PS button.

What if they chose to show the lightbar reflection, and the PS4 sound, and the PS4, and also meant to hide the lightbar on the controller itself, to give us smaaaall hints, like EA did with one NFS pic, you had to edit it to make the cars and logo appear. Small subtle hints only those with a keen eye see, PDs way to say "we hear you guys. We really do. We can't show you anything yet, because we want to polish it more. But here's a confirmation. We're coming. Get ready."

The evidence is leaning towards it being more a PS4 than anything else, does it not? Why should we speculate it's anything other than? It's a trailer, so minor inconsistencies really aren't going to matter. As long as it hints the presence of a PS4 (which the trailer does), that's all that's needed to start speculation.

I said I'm out, but a little grace period need.

You can't be serious.
Where-else do you know that sound from?
It isn't PS3, nor GT6.

It's PS4, without question.
I know that sound from many PS4 menu selections, from many games.

Unless you're able to provide evidence to the contrary.
