I would never expect Porsche to be a part of the GT franchise, but it would be perfect in GT Sport. The car list doesn't really make or break it for me, as long as we have a few good vehicles from the new car era. I know this isn't a wish list, and I know that GT Sport is not the game to do it in, but I would love to be able to sit down for a relaxing drive in a newer sedan or truck, just for fun. I really wish that GT Sport would have a 'manual transmission with clutch' option for those days that I feel like messing around without dragging the steering peripherals out. Just some thoughts. But, yes, I really hope that this game leaves a good taste in Polyphony's mouth. I'll miss this franchise if things go south.

Aleluia um video BR de gt sport

No new info. He says that it feels like other GT games, and that racing games are not his speciality. He even don't know what wheel he is using, but liked it, and in the end he reads "Thrustmaster". In closing comments he says the game is easy to drive.

What i really liked in the videa that is AI avoided player's stationary car in the starting grid (around 4:16) with zero colisions.

Definitely worth the watch to see more of what PD are trying to recreate for that genuine televised racing look (or however you'd describe say it).

They still have a lot of work to do until they get to 'broadcast quality'. They are still using camera angles that lock to one car on panning shots and generally use shots that are 'arty' over clear. Nearly every time a car passes a camera in GTS the camera zooms right into the body and then out again.

Not to mention the netcode needs fixing so cars aren't jigging around unrealistically from lag, which i'm still not sure how they're getting on a LAN race.

I watch a lot of motorsport, I couldn't watch that and enjoy it as entertainment. Hopefully they do improve it a lot during the delay.

I really didn't like that video at all and immediately clicked it off. IMO the game looked slow, lifeless and boring, not enough punishment to prevent wall-riding like the guy just performed as if he wasn't taking GTS seriously. Makes me kinda glad PD delayed GTS, it needs hella work at this point.

I believe that's why sim type racing games are turning into a niche product. I honestly feel that in order for the genre to survive something dramatic is going to have to happen.

All the GT's and Forza's out there are starting to become nearly the same game. Oh, I know there is a difference "here" and one does something better "there" but to average consumers, putting a livery on "x" car and driving down "y" track is all that these games offer.

Somebody, be it PDI, Turn 10, SMS, etc., is going to create lightning in a bottle. A game that offers much more then the same old formula.

I played GTS today at gamecity in vienna. I filmed a bit with my iphone.

It seems the build i played was a pretty old one as there wasnt a possibility to choose from a time of day variant. Also there only where three stock cars available (mx-5, golf, evora) - i thought i have seen a hellcat drivable at another gameshow?!
Also fisermans ranch wasnt available so yeah, old build.

I only played two races at professional AI setting without ads.

Mazda MX-5 at Nürburging (comfort medium without abs):
The car had pretty much body roll and was very happy to slide, just like the real one.
I could manage to do a burnout from the stand but the car still slided slowly forward. Its improved over GT6 how a low HP car reacts to that.
I didnt have any problems with deactivated abs though i often braked rather heavy, so there is definitly a big difference.

Sadly the FFB on the T300 was ultra light (though i set it to max) and there was almost no resistence in steering, the effects where there but the torgue was almost non existent.

So the driving itself wasnt very pleasing though the physics behavior of the cars seemed great. I also couldnt hear anything (except a bit of tyre screech) because the volume of the tv was set too low and it was way too loud - the didnt have headphones to use.

Graphically the Nurb definitly needs work as the flickering on the fences was very noticable and the shadow popin or lod transitions of the trees was pretty big too. I guess a delay is reasonably if other tracks suffer from the same thing.

Corvette GT3 at Willow Springs:
The car was very planted and great to drive and the best thing: the AI was very competitive and i couldnt mange after the ther first two laps to get beyond 7th place or so, with the cars in front of me being about 50 meters away. I did drive pretty well and was very impressed by the AI, biggest surprise for me today.

Technically willow springs looked great and didnt suffer from any glitches, framerate seemed consistent to me.

This is on comfort medium without any ads, abs was deactivated too - i wasnt driving for serious and tryed to slide the mx-5 and

First of all, thank you for your feedback!

Obviously, you had a build older than Gamescom. It's sad but at least you have played GT Sport !

Nice to see that those who have played in professional mode confirm my thoughts, knowing that AI is even better on recent builds. Nasanu who have played at TGS seems to have lived a great experience with AI. Definitely a big improvement !

You say the AI are improved, I'm afraid I'm not really seeing it in your video. You were obviously struggling a little with a poorly configured wheel that you weren't familiar with but still the AI were not much of a problem. The video starts with you slamming into the back of the SLS because it braked too cautiously, then flew right by.

You easily outbraked them at most corners, running into the back of them a few times. You were 8-10 car lengths behind the Renault going into the last turn then got so close you hit it on the exit as it was slow. You were alongside on the straight, then it predictably braked too early and hard into T1 and put up no challenge. Pretty much the same happened on the next lap with the Aston.

They were all mostly still running on rails in a single file fashion and not once did I see an AI car attempt to defend against you. It was the same old pull alongside, pass as they brake far too early and hard.

The only time they pulled away, suspiciously, was on the straights. That is what I took away from that video, feel free to tell me if you saw it differently.
