Am I the only one who hasn't tuned their cars at all? I've been pretty competitive with the stock setups..

I usually do the trans, and tweak that, but leave the suspension and other bits alone. I'd just make it worse.

You should try it - the game feels very different with balanced tune. Take any Praiano tune and try it out. 👍

I didn't try every tuner but for me, Praiano and MotorCityHami were the two guys whom I thought had the best grasp of the GT5/6 physics and tuning potential. I could jump into any of their cars and be comfortable right away.

Enjoying Dragontrail quite a bit, managed a pretty quick hotlap for the Asia region (the only non-japanese in the top 10!) and having some good races on it, the track width helps it stay clean for the most part 👍

Does anyone know if the end game is going to end up region specific like the Beta and previous GT titles? or will it be region free like GT5 and 6? Can't see why they would go backwards tbh... Maybe in the later stages of the Beta they will open it up for all regions to connect together, because if they don't put us all together and the full game is being released region free and that haven't tested it? Release day will be mass servers overload within minutes

So does anyone know? Thanks in advance 👍

I think it will be a mix.

I see Sport mode being region specific.
Well, perhaps not all, but certainly the majority including the FIA events on the weekends.
But I imagine open lobbies will allow you access to all regions, as per GT6.

If they don't unlock open lobbies during the beta, it may be a sign that Sport mode will be region locked, and therefore cross region testing isn't a priority.

I recall them suggesting the finals in Sport mode would be live events, with players being flown to the venues.
Perhaps that's another sign of region locked Sport mode.

For open lobbies, they could probably just put a line in the manual again.
"Region -
Filter according to the region of the room. Choose from "All", or select your own country/region. A room's region may have a detrimental effect on the quality of races, depending on the quality of your network connection."

There is also the talk of dedicated Sport mode servers, and P2P servers for open lobbies.


So who knows what they'll do during the beta.
But a bit of cross region action would be great. 👍

It was actually while I was watching @mcsqueegy videos above and seeing just a couple of Australian flags and the rest of the grid was Japan flags that got me thinking about it.. but yep it's gotta be just for Beta test stages and eventually they will test us all together to see if the servers can take the strain before it goes live on release day 👍

Yeh it's unusual to see Aussie flags mixed in with Asian flags in these videos.
Certainly not what I'm used to seeing.

And for that matter, I would assume Aussies and Kiwis will ultimately race with Europeans in Sport mode when the game is released.
So it's an odd one how it stands at the moment.

But time will tell.

A little taste of my new favourite tool (vantage gt3) at work..

All 4 laps after the first under 1:12.0 and all 4 within 0.1 second of each other. That thing isnt just a car, its more of a surgical instrument.. 👍

And a very nice diversity of cars. BoP really is getting better.

I find that toe and camber has little impact on the cars behaviour in GTS.......too little for my favour, but a good LSD is very effective.

Must study the run to improve my driving. 💡 Edit2: The corner speeds alone are insane!!!

Edit: But in the this run I came in 5th with my McLaren. Not bad for a controller user ( and AT).

Yeah i saw you did well with that Mac. we seem to be closely matched at B/S currently - maybe we will see in more races. 👍

Maybe dont study too much, as my experience on GTS is that the driving style depends heavily on the setup one is using an vice-versa. Ill try to post that tune here at some point. Its just a variation from Praianos Nurburgring tune. 👍

Yes its great! also you can see the driver engages actually the clutch with his foot Or well that goes maybe too far, but he lifts his foot from the throttle haha

VR in mind! While GT has a lot of flaws, I appreciate all these details that I don't find in Forza. Now, they should separate the rear view and the right joystick in cockpit. And give us the choice for a higher degree steering wheel animation (and better shadows).

Again some pink car trouble. Now during normal qualifying and same as before, after exiting to the menu my car turned pink. Managed to grab a short replay this time.
