Here's my best lap videos from tonight running the new events đź‘Ť

I have never used the Genesis until tonight and damn it's one sweet machine! Used Prianno's tune and it fits like a glove and this will be the event I spend the most time on tomorrow as the top times are 7 secs faster :eek:đź‘Ť For the N300 event I used my old Brands Indy set up and after a 30 min session it's less than .1 off 1st place so must be good for Willow also ;) The GT-R @ Dragon is the least enjoyable event of the 3 just because the GT-R is getting boring and seems it's the best car for this event :irked: ..tried the 4c also but it's a bit slower :indiff:

It's time for some more videos. :D All from yesterday, had some nice races.

Nurburgring battle for the top 4 positions, was really fun. At the start I was looking back because the rolling start left a huge gap which was quite weird. @Lord Protector wanted to warm up his tyres but I didn't want none of that and went full attack mode. :D With quite some effort I managed to get up to 2nd but at the 2nd banked Karussell like corner (don't know the name of it :P) I got forced to take the outside line and I just knew I was going to give up that position. Lord Protector somehow managed to sneak in there as well so I actually lost 2 positions in that 1 corner and was back at 4th place again. Couldn't catch up anymore on the straight and only got 3rd because AzoreanGordo messed up at the end.



Nurburgring race after that was starting quite good as well. But at Flugplatz Lord Protector and I were trying to get side by side but that didn't end well for both of us. :lol: Thought we'd be able to do it but guess not. I even backed off a little but wasn't enough. After that he waited for me to catch up after I made another small mistake with the gravel trap and we just had fun catching up to the rest of the pack and overtaking a few. This is where we saw Lucky_Joice pushing pretty much every car on every chance he got. Scarfy, Lord Protector and apparently also @Outspacer all 3 got rammed off track by him. Lord Protector even 3 times I think? When I was next to him at the end I decided to give him a taste of his own medicine and ran him wide so Lord Protector could catch up again. I'm always a very clean driver but that felt really good for some reason. :P Then at the straight I knew he was going to catch me but I also saw Lord Protector passing him. I was already hoping he'd push me so we could both stay ahead of Lucky and he did. :D Unfortunately he got rammed off track pretty hard after that but still stayed ahead of him. :) I do not understand how he can be S rank. SR system definately still needs work.



Battle on Brands Hatch GP again with the Scirocco's. This was the best race I think, even though I ended 2nd. It was hard staying ahead of Lord Protector, noticed him accelerating a bit faster and catching up quite easily in certain corners. Then he got a chance to pass me on the outside through the last and first corner. Couldn't really stay close to him anymore after that, seemed to have a lot less traction on the exit of corners than he did. :P



Race after that, again with the Scirocco's. I used his gearing settings this time though and it made all the difference. So much more traction on corner exits, could stay ahead a bit more easily now though I still had to push. Managed to do 3 1.32 laps and got my best overall time at the end so far. So seems like with those gearing changes Lord Protector has perfected the Scirocco tune. :P



And last but not least, another nice race on Willow Springs. Battle for 1st position with MAT-GTR. It looks like he has his car setup for the long fast corners while the tune I'm using (Praiano's Nurburgring tune) is more suited for the slower section. That's where you can see the difference really. Other than that we stayed really close and attempted to overtake him a few times but just couldn't do it. :)

Yeah that was a very nice dodge indeed. Had you turned in you'd be kissing the barrier as well. :P Can't wait to see it from your view as well. ;)

I'm still surprise of how the trees, leaves and overall enviroment of Nordschleife looks so good in GTS.

It still appalls me with some the criticisms that I hear about this game. Mainly the complaints concerning the trees and the use of 2D trees. Some people act as if GT is the only game to use 2D trees these days, when FM6 does and other racing sims as well. I still remember this one guy on Youtube that I got into an argument with. He seemed so concerned with trees...................................

I hope not. There's a pretty big latency gap between us and Europe. I'd rather play with West Coast Americans or Asians. At least keep the ping under 200 or no compensation system on earth can hope to keep up.

I've since changed my opinion on that, and I think I posted it in the Aus. Beta thread.
I think time zones (not PSN regions) will be the deciding factor for Sport mode, and therefore Aussies and Kiwis will compete in the Asian (Oceania) group.
 
The only way for me to win a race against very fast guys.... Driving my best to stick enough to them.
This time a wonderfull battle between Setted and gtr 3213 during the all lap , but with a mistake in the final turns... winning like this make you feel like an abutre.:lol: I need to train a lot more to pass them the right way. Very good online moments, congrats to both.

I see in the first video you had a nice battle going there with wowi86 as well (1:30 - 2:00). :lol: He's just like Lucky_Joice, always hitting others every chance he gets. They are my 2 most hated S rank drivers right now in the beta. I do not even want to be driving in front of them. :P My overtake around the outside on AzoreanGordo looks really nice from your view as well. And I now finally understand how you ended up being the first one to pass me when AzoreanGordo forced me to the outside line at the 2nd Karussell corner thing. :P Looks like he tried to brake very late so I could not move to the inside line but he messed up the corner himself because of that leaving the inside wide open. That was a really nice pass from you.

And second video after we both messed up you had to slow down so much to wait for me lol. You should've just continued really, would've probably still had a pretty decent position. :P But was fun after that anyway. I see what @Outspacer did there as well now, very nice that we both showed Lucky some justice in that race. :lol: Because of that Lord Protector and me were able to pass him easily so thanks! :D And @Lord Protector, very nice to see how you avoided Scarfy after he got smashed into from behind by Lucky. That was a very quick movement to the left that really saved you. :P And when Lucky ran you off track it was quite a mess as well, being sandwiched inbetween the 2 other cars while I nicely moved Lucky a bit to the right of the track. :lol:Was happy to see it worked and you were able to catch back up again on the straight. And at the end I assumed it was Lucky again who hit you so hard but it was actually Scarfy lol. Think he was trying to aim at Lucky but failed miserably, I don't know why else he did that.

A fun race with @Firehuntah today. My laptimes were a fair bit off my best but that was down to feeling the pressure of being hunted :lol:

That was a very nice race indeed, I was really stuck to your bumper a few times. :P It was all down to the last corner in the end, my exit was just a bit too slow since I had to leave you some space there. ;) Was hoping to get ahead just a little bit more so I could move to the outside on exit but there wasn't enough space. :) I'll upload it from my view as well tomorrow, along with a few other races that were quite nice.

Messed up the chicane so badly in that race, fell back quite a few places. But was nice being behind you again, even if it wasn't for long. ;) And congrats on A rank! :)

You're welcome :) Although admittedly I mainly wanted to make sure he wasn't right behind me coming down to Bergwerk! Later it was pretty tense from the karussel on, because he was back behind me after that stunt with scarfy, and I couldn't get past zosser... :nervous:

I wouldn't be surprised if Scarfy wasn't just generally fed up with that race! Not only smashed into the wall by Lucky, but also close to a lot of the other drunkeness going on so probably nudged about a bit - it's like Chinese water torture sometimes :lol: But yeah, kinda looks like he could be aiming for Lucky. Before the hit he's turning towards him, I think.
