Heard them talking about only being able to use the Mercedes in that specific scape, that'd be a bummer if certain Scapes are car restricted.

Although shortly after I think he said it was that way because he was in Brand Central (?) - I'm not fully understanding him there, is it restricted to that car because he's in Brand Central or have certain Scapes got restrictions on the cars you can use? Hope it's the former.

Some Brands have their own Scapes.

The photomode looks very very in depth. You almost don't even need post processing.

Oooh, I see. So it's kinda locking them off for specific cars but you get to choose from the whole range. I mean it makes some sense I suppose. Still, though. I hope there's still a good few hundred which are free from any restrictions.

And yeah, it does look very nice so far. Hyped!

Most of them aren't, so no worries there ;)

Almost too complicated for me :P
Kaz was serious about photomode and it's cool to see all the new features. (Still hope for some 3d photomode locations like the wind tunnel, designer house...)

I was a complete photomode noob before coming here in GTP. The amount of tutorials and inspiration here is second to none.

Aren't they 3 weeks apart?

I google it and indeed it's only 3 weeks, but yesterday i was looking at the brazillia's PSN and the date on PCars 2 was december, or maybe i'm just crazy...

Anyway, now i really have to choose which one I'll buy first. Oh Cheetos...:ouch:

I think he said it was an AMG museum scape? That would be the reason.

Would someone be kind enough to post an unedited photo of Ferrari red from GT6 and put it along side this? I'd like to see a comparison before I call Kaz out for talking bollocks saying it was impossible to do before and it looks orange.

new livery editor footage from playstation access
Good to see they've finally delivered a long requested feature without half assing it. I'd like to play around with this.

All this talk about HDR, it's hard for me to take him serious when he talks about such aspects and rarely talks about great game play they will offer. The reason why I can't take his HDR talk serious is because of this...

The Cockpit should not be black with HDR in the day time or with the sun this low. The livery editor looks great, but everything on track makes me lose interest. I can't be doing with dark cockpits, amongst many other issues I have with GTS. They really should focus on game play, not marketing points such as HDR nits and Ferrari red. Priorities.

Well you've gotta take into account that you can only truly see Ferrari Red in GT Sport on a HDR display. So our devices that we viewed that image on is still not 100% accurate. We'd have to see GT Sport and GT6 running in real time in person so we can compare to actually see if it is really Ferrari Red.

Every trailer and image PD post is always going yo be SDR so unless PD upload it all in HDR and then view it on a HDR display that's the only you will see what it actually looks like, you are not going to see any difference otherwise.

Kaz latest technical points are certainly arguable. They are clearly misleading if not completely fallacious. Blaming digital sensors native capabilities for inaccurate colours is a bold statement. In most cases it's your output device that creates the bottleneck. Rec.709 primaries only allow a coverage of about a third of the visible spectrum and that's where a majority of GTS players will be stuck with. For them, there won't be the slightest improvement in Ferrari Red rendering unless PD acknowledges they got it wrong in previous iterations of the game.
