Just slight opinion in Ferrari Red it is actually should be called "Rosso Corsa" since this color were used in every iconic Italian made race cars throughout 30's - 60's whether it is Ferrari, Fiat, Alfa's or Lancia's. That would give better impression to car fanatics (like most of us here lol) and have more historical value than simply call it "Ferrari Red" because imo it isn't that quite specific tbh and also Ferrari have many shades of red on their cars.

Probably Kaz call it Ferrari Red is because this kind of color is what most people found it recognizable as Ferrari mainstream color.

Well you've gotta take into account that you can only truly see Ferrari Red in GT Sport on a HDR display. So our devices that we viewed that image on is still not 100% accurate. We'd have to see GT Sport and GT6 running in real time in person so we can compare to actually see if it is really Ferrari Red.
And you will never it if it is accurate unless you have a real Ferrari at hand to compare the colours.

Every trailer and image PD post is always going yo be SDR so unless PD upload it all in HDR and then view it on a HDR display that's the only you will see what it actually looks like, you are not going to see any difference otherwise.
I'm not buying this at all. Sure you need a HDR tv to view it in HDR, however that cannot be the reason why the cockpits are dark. GT passed editions have had dark cockpits, no other game has this problem and they don't have HDR.

It is pure marketing fluff, that's why he calls it Ferrari Red ( imo). Keeping it vague in case it turns out to be inaccurate.

I knew it is purely just marketing purpose, but imo why not calling it "Rosso Corsa" since it has more historical value and sense of national pride especially for Italian people in general? That would give better impression imo and as I said before Ferrari Red doesn't sound that specific since Ferrari themselves has many code/shades of red paint.

As for the color accuracy, better to wait for people impressions if most of them are seeing that bright "Ferrari Red" with their own eyes.

I could explain why the cockpit is dark as someone who studied photography 4+ years I know exactly why it looks like it does. It's all to do with lighting the position of the sun the direction the cars moving and the direction of the shadows being casted, contrast and a few other factors like materials and how the light reacts to them. Also I've watched alot of project cars 2 gameplay it also has dark cockpits all due to time of day and lighting etc did you play the beta of GT sport? I did and all I can say is the lighting interacts accurately with the cockpit of cars. Driveclub is another good example of the cockpit appearing dark due to have realistic lighting to. Fair enough if you don't like dark cockpits but no point calling bull on something when it's accurate.

Would someone be kind enough to post an unedited photo of Ferrari red from GT6 and put it along side this? I'd like to see a comparison before I call Kaz out for talking bollocks saying it was impossible to do before and it looks orange.
.
That's what I talking about. It really looks orange!:lol::lol:

The one with the Lexus is incredible. Absurd how the lights and the reflections on the car respond to the shutter and car speed creating light trails effects.
There is an amazing work by the studio to recreate all the light sources and other elements present in the original shot and the result is spectacular and absolutely realistic.

Generally speaking, they are doing an incredible work with the scapes and how they have successfully integrated the cars into a space that is not modeled in 3D. All the lights, the reflections, etc... are totally integrated into the scene:tup:

The only one I find strange is that with VW due to high grass. Something is really off in that picture:lol:

It doesn't look orange what so ever and as someone who has had to opportunity to be around a Ferrari that was "ferrari red" I would say it appears to be accurate.
Don't get me wrong, it looks great and all. And it looks even better than Assetto Corsa's Ferrari Red (Rosso Corsa). The one in AC looks... weak. :guilty:

Totally agree - all of the resources that they poured into the extra details really shows. Every one of those images looks like something a manufacturer came up with and could use on their website or in a magazine to market their vehicles. It really is mind-blowing.

The person who parked their red Golf by the outdoor dining section of a restaurant though ---- yeah, that guy is a massive dick

Making photos for mock up brochures is something I really want to try once GT Sport releases. It's awesome because it basically halfs my workload if I wanted to create a Scape styled image using GT6 cars, because I don't have to Photoshop the car in anymore. PD did a fantastic job with all the lighting data, I mean MAN. Looks so so good. Cannot wait.

I think I'll make a thread once the game releases for people's best Scapes images/regular Photo Mode images + cool Photoshop works. Although I don't know, should I make the Photoshop works a separate thread? (If it hasn't been made already by then of course.)

A great improvement over GT6..It is definatly much more saturated even between the 2 Gt Sport pics, but that could be the TV's they have taken this from. Maybe if a Rosso Ferrari was parked next to my TV I could spot the difference but you have so many other colours going on around it..I think they obviously use accurate paint codes, but as said it really depends on your TV/Monitor quality and settings. (Marketing push i guess but I am with @lancia delta hf👍)

Edit: But wow that video and all those Great Scapes (1000+) with photomode available in each one and all those settings - plus the bonus of being able to make them your own in the livery editor. Such a big improvement over GT6..I am really looking forward to using these Scapes.

Cloudy vs Sunny. Of course the red won't be the same. :)

Here are a few unedited shots from GT6

Kaz should just make a second smaller Polyphony studio that focuses on creating the Tourist Trophy series and release that in between each GT. Now you have two dev teams creating track content / assets, R&D tech research, which can be used for both series. They can still take 4 years to make the games but the alternate releases means it'll only be a two year wait between a TT and a GT.
