Maybe we ought to compare similar environments and lighting conditions..

Pretty sure that was pre rendered, everything other than the shots of the cars in the glass building were so obviously CGI enhanced. Even then the pit shots don't look mind blowing either, looks like the pre rendered trailers we had for GT5 & 6.

Anyway , when do you guys think PD is going to release more info? Is there any other event soon?
Probably PSX in December. Assuming the BETA will be released within the first 4 months of next year, announcements will probably follow. Mainly new cars and possibly new tracks I would imagine.

SEMA show (but it's not related to video games as far as I'm aware but GT is somehow related to that show, so who knows?) and the PlayStation Experience (we could get some details there) and PGW isn't over yet so maybe some more infos and screenshots coming throughout this week. I'll just wait and see.

100% sure it is not pre-rendered (well, other than being a video...), it's the same as GT6's dealership "beauty" rendering areas.

Dithered fuzzy shadows, there's edge light stepping/aliasing in the Bugatti too, lower res environ map in the audi.

Since GT is being pushed as something more than a video game and getting more tied with actual motorsports , SEMA would be somewhat good to release some info , not saying they will. We will know what car wins the GT award , that's some news :D

It was old racing footage and nothing to do with the game itself.

Hmm. Pretty sure it was a real life video. Would be nice though. *Tree'd

No kidding! I thought that PD just decided to render vintage style for fun! Dudes, of course I know they were real life old racing videos, but show me one example when PD included something in their promotional videos that they were not going to include. As if when PD promoted GT4 and included Ferraris just to mess with us.

They'd probably show off the missing SEMA Cars from 2012 to 2014 in GTS

I think they were thrown in there to showcase the history of racing perhaps? I donno, PD are weird like that haha. :P

Ok so let me stay positive about this. Ok from what it seem like they are focusing on motorsports this time around and maybe we could see a major overhaul to career mode? Kinda like how project cars is in a way with the career mode on there....
Hopefully a full mechanical damage system, flags and penalties to make the racing more realistic and authentic.

Actually, the focus on motorsport does seem quite Project CARS-ish, now that you mention it.

It'll probably be much more engaging with the whole FIA involvement and the idea of constant worldwide competition for nations and manufacturers (which GT would do much better with a significantly largely userbase), but the general idea is very similar.

I know it's only a game but... I watched the trailer again and again, and again... everytime i watch it, i get chills. All the trailer from GT series brings so many emotions, as i said, i know it's only a game but, tell it to my brain, to my body... to my heart. Because it's so freaking great!!

A lot of people are being negative about GT for so long. But i loved GT5 and GT6 as much as any other GT game. As any other game, it's not perfect, but good thing about it surpass the bad things.

It's impossible to me to hear about a new GT game, and not thing about GT1 and 2, how i loved to watch replays, to watch and hear the musics from the intro movies...

It's a nostalgic feeling but also i want things to go forward. And to me, GT series always deliverd that.

A championship where we represent our favorite manufacturers? I wonder if they'll have new Polyphony-made race-modded cars of equal performance for each make.

Okay. I know I sounded a bit harsh towards PD in the past, but I will like to see how they handle this one if it's a spinoff of the main series. I really like that GT Sport may focus on motorsports, so it should be interesting. I won't be buying it day 1, however I will keepin' an eye on this title. They just better not mess up like they did with GT5 and GT6, but something tells me they kinda won't they got FIA on their backs (YES!).

But what type of motorsports will PD be focusing? Every kind like pCARS? Makes you wonder.

What do you MEAN you won't be buying it on day one!?!?!?!

;)

Everything so far points to the "motorsport" being the general idea of having a FIA sanctioned Gran Turismo (the game) series of categories and not any specific "motorsport" exisiting series.

That is, just like Starcraft is an (electronic) sport, you'd have an eletronic/virtual motorsport with Gran Turismo (with proper regulations) that happens to be sanctioned by the organization that oversees the majority of real-life motorsports.

So it could very well be Beetles running against Chaparral VGTs and still be a motorsport. I call it the FIA Tortoise-Hare series.

Ha ha. ^^' Well, I'm kinda still disappointed in PD at the moment. But I will indeed be keeping an eye on their work for GTS. If it becomes a good title everybody loves, I may reconsider. :) It doesn't have to be mind blownly great either. Just as long as they gotten everything right and corrected all past errors. ;)

I like the idea of them releasing a beta. Is that a step to the right direction to communicate with their fans? If so, HELL YEAH! :D

Hmmm. Sounds interesting. Will love to see how this plays out then. :D *Fingers crossed*
