I am just so grateful that Project Cars is available in PS4 (and soon Assetto Corsa as well), because I am afraid that our friend Yamahuchi got lost in his dreams and will never come back. That is very cool for him, but what is left for us? I just wish Sony understood that and would split PD in two teams. One team where Yamahuchi could continue dreaming with his Vision fantasy cars, Lunar rovers and GT Academies and a second team that would focus on delivering the Gran Turismo game that 95% of players have been patiently waiting for all these years.

How do you know this isn't the game "95% of players have been patiently waiting for all these years"?

Answer: you don't.

Im thinking the lack of any extra images or more trailers is because the game is due to show up at PSX December 5th and 6th.

If the beta is coming early 2016 (no later then March 31 IMO) then they're bound to show alot more by then.

But why are they waiting when so many people want to know more and see more? It has to be because the game will be at PSX

Having seen the same stock SLS AMG GT3 without any sort of decals I think the answer is pretty much a NO sadly.

They only shown a couple of cars and tracks , does this mean there won't be more? No. Maybe they don't wanna reveal it yet or are introducing it in GT7.

In my opinion, this has a very GT5/6 look. Probably the same engine with some settings turned up. Also, I consider Driveclub to be in a completely different league visually. Apart from the trees, this is just GT6 + higher res shadow maps + Higher AA and AF.

1080p only has 33% more pixels than GT6 and the PS4 GPU is quite a lot more powerful compared to RSX. I don't buy the argument that this is all the new GPU has to offer, GFX technology and shaders have come a long way since the GeForce 6000 series era. I know this is just 1 second of footage and that it may not even be the footage from the new GFX engine but this 1 sec of footage looks far from great. Even at 60 fps, things should look a lot better.

DC weather and NFS in night look incredible. As good as PD are in gfx it will be hard to beat that. But lighting, shading wise GT will be better. DC does not that great in daylight. I am glad in the trailer they did not use pre rendered stuff. Gfx upgrade from PS2 to PS3 was huge. But on PS4 too already we can notice better models, tracks. It is going to be more polished this time.

Livery Editor is in GT from 2006:

:boggled:

To be fair to Kaz, most of those things are already implemented except for number plate & livery editor.

What I'm worried is, if a livery editor does come it will be on a third party app like the Course Maker. That would definitely enrage players everywhere :scared:

A number plate editor would be awesome, I'd love to have my plate from Import Tuner Challenge on my car.

It says "coloring / livery editor" maybe they just meant the paint dealership. :/

This trailer answers some questions but also bring up a lot of them too. Like:
How will the FIA Online Series work?
What new features will we see?
Will the game work properly?
What role do the road cars play in the game?
Will there be a dedicated career mode?
Amongst many others obviously.

It turns out the soundtrack first famous on video below.

I can get the vibe. The speed, the freedom, the excitement. Hopefully it can be captured in GTS.

That's alright, if you listen to certain members of the community, GT6 already has a livery editor. Apparently.

A number plate editor would probably be a lot more work than people realize, since regional differences mean certain cars could only fit certain plates. Sure, PD could then build the models with the many different plates in mind, but it'd be a pretty serious undertaking.

How does Forza does it, actually I think that's the answer to a lot of Livery Editor related questions.

In all my years following the series I've never known PD to make a bad/un-awesome trailer (or intro). It's perhaps the one thing where I actually have 100% confidence PD will always deliver :P

Whilst I agree with that general sentiment in regards to the above posts I don't really want to see something 'old school'. I want PD to show something that truly shows they've moved forward, moved with the world we live in and aren't really stuck in the 90s.

Has anyone figured out where this place is yet?

It might give us a clue for a new track considering almost all GT5/6 phototravel areas are located close to a track in the game.

Ahrweiler - Nurburgring
Shoren In/Gion - Suzuka
Red Bull Hangar - Red Bull Ring
Bern/Lucerne - Eiger
Ronda/Gemasolar - Sierra
San Gimignano/San Galgano/Piazza del Campo - Toscana

And this was the case even for the Prologue ones:

Shakado Pass (Kamakura) - Fuji
Nurburg Castle/Bonn/Lennepark - Nurburgring

It reminds me a lot of that place in GT4, Marunouchi in Tokyo... can't really identify it though.
Could be a fictional place too.

Almost every trailer/oppenning of GT gets in my head. But the Ferrari 458 reveal trailer is so sticky! I just can't count the times i caught myself playing GT(or anyh other racing game) and singinhe trailer's song.

I still remember this trailer 'till this day...

If only there was the heart palpitating sound of the engine then I'd say that trailer hands down is Number 1 in all racing game trailer history.
