I don't think GTS will get delayed. This is usual Pody's communication.

The usual communication is them communicating that it will be delayed.

Facebook page just got back to me saying they're still pushing for a 2016 release so keep my fingers crossed. Would not bet on it to be honest.

Well you're not going to get an honest answer on Facebook, really. Even if it had been delayed internally, a Facebook message to one person isn't how they're going to reveal that.

The wording of it isn't the most assuring to be honest

Hi Ali, at the moment everything is pointing to that direction yes, so finger crossed!

Well, there was a plan to announce/ show something on PlayStation Experience back in early December. Unfurtunately they didn't. Now we have almost February and still no news ...

I seem to recall the trailer we saw at PGW was never intended to be shown there, having been pushed forward at the last minute from the PS Experience, I'm guessing to capitalise on the whole FIA/Bugatti/France thing (and the fact that Europe is probably the biggest market for GT), which is why Jordan initially warned us "don't board the hype train if it's headed to Paris". He then said, if I'm not mistaken, that he was unaware of the plans to show GTS at PGW.

That might explain why there's been such a long gap between the first trailer and the second - if they had some sort of schedule of trailers and what not, and simply moved the first one forward without compensating for the time difference (and leaving the second trailer to be released whenever it was initially planned), then it would mean we would be waiting a long time for the second trailer. If GTS had been revealed at PS Experience, we would have seen the first trailer only a month and a half ago, rather than three months, which would be a less arduous wait, if you will.

You have a good memory :)

You are right, but remember jordan's post:
That sounds more like a short-term change in pd's schedule.

Maybe they brought one trailer forward and pushed another back, making the wait between even longer? Who knows...

He also said towards the back end of the year that he had a preliminary schedule lined up for 2016, with numerous events already "pencilled in". Maybe we'll see something soon...

Three months isn't really that long, eg Forza 6's announcement was five months after the initial trailer.

True but there wasn't a beta due out in less than 90 days with Forza. It's certainly not full panic stations time yet but I would think they have to show something and/or start talking in February.

If something is not shown in the next month or so, I would write off any chance of that beta coming when they suggested it would. Either that, or they're keeping inexplicably quiet about it (which I wouldn't think would be a good idea, seeing as this is supposed to be a free taste of the new, current-gen, VR-enabled GT game, why wouldn't you hype that up?)

As you say, there's no reason to panic just yet, but it might be getting that way if they don't show something soon...

I wouldn't write off the chance of a beta in the spring until spring is actually come and gone. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the trailer we have now is all we get up until a week or two before release.

That's what I'm hoping/expecting in the back of my mind. If that does happen, it'll be somewhat surprising that they didn't hype it more.

The beta will come, It's not like "OMG" It will be on January 31st. It's still winter (Summer in the south hemisphere) and 2016 is just starting. Besides, some betas come without a previous warning (Far Cry Primal for example). GT sport's beta it's not one of those, so basically it's just expecting the unenexpectable for us.

For fun (source : Neogaf)

Some quality cherry-picking, there.
It is not cherry picking. I have PCars and it feels just right, exactly the weird graphics it has. I have watched a lot of Forza 6 videos, and this is its graphics. They both have nice angles, so I don't see what you mean.

What are the graphics settings for the original source? What is the render quality of the original source? How was it captured and at what bitrate? At what quality level was it uploaded?
