PD give us an update with 2 tracks, 14 layouts, 50 cars, and 50+ GT League mode races, and all people want to do is complain is tooooo big!!!! It's a bloody disgrace!!!!
Why? It took me 25-30 minutes and hasn't really used up any more space than was already being used as it just replaced 99.9% of what was already installed.RIP everyone who fully downloaded all of the 24 GB update.

The (slightly) new 24GB update was from 1.00 up to 1.16. It won't take up the extra 24GB that you're thinking. It'll only overwrite the previously installed updates.
Nope, in the middle of a city in NY. Blame Verizon having a cartel-like grasp then.Jeez, where do you live, in the middle of a corn field in Nebraska?
I've already installed the 24gb patch though.Cancel update in downloads
Go to GTS in PS4 menu and press options --> 'Check for update'
voila
Hold up, I let the update downloading in rest mode while I went to work.
Maybe I should make it stop and download again?
(It would take over 24 hours with my connection)
Lol after restarting the game a few times all sounds music back to normalI just finished downloading and its still the same no BGM at all but car sfx is fine atm
That update notice wasn't published until about 5 hours after the update was available and the 24gb download was giving everyone with slow internet connections a heart attack!
Thank goodness this isn't a Microsoft game, where the entire download would have to finish to say, ok cancelled! If anyone is still downloading the 24 GB, you can cancel it and check for update again and it will be 107.5 MB.
I still have no menu music after the update. Tried restarting the game but it hasn't helped.
I'm still missing music as well.Same here, whereas my other account was and is unaffected by the missing music 'bug'.
I’ve not read most of the pages since this morning, but did they fix the update? 24gb is pretty big, but i’m reading talk about 107mb update instead..? I just started the update via the “check for update” option.. but it doesn’t show the size. It’s going rather quickly so far, copying ~70% in under 5min.
No its not:The PS4 uses around 10w in rest mode not 50w. 10w is a little more than your average energy saving light bulb.
Press the 'Options' button on the game icon and then "Update History"I only had a 4gb update, is that because I didn’t download 1.15? Where can I view what version I have, just to confirm
How can you BoP anything which never raced in real races, so nobody has any telemetry etc data about it?The BOP system exists and is constantly being adjusted by PD. If it means we can have cars to use that aren't necessarily "real", but are based on reality and fit within regulation (as a result of BOP), then so be it..
24Gb in Finland takes about 10 minutes to download. What's a problem?
some people actually leave it downloading over night while PS4 is in rest mode so when you come back from work everything is installed and ready to goI sorta meant it as in "You wasted 20+ minutes for updating a game that was only suppose to take less than 5 min".
Still you are getting the same result at the end. You just took the longer way to get there.
