With 1.16 are PD forcing a complete (rolled-up) re-installation of GTS updates and blowing away all the previous incremental updates?
After installation of the incremental 1.15 update (which weighed in at around 3gb iirc) I had to do a full re-install of GTS due to the main menu freeze bug appearing again; the full rolled-up 1.15 update weighed in at 24gb.
1.16 is also 24gb (well, just over) so have PD had a fundamental problem with patching patches of patches of patches and just gone for the nuclear option; pretty much a full re-installation of the game?

15:33 04/04/2018:
The huge size of the update appears to have been a glitch in Sony's update network/servers - pushing out all previous updates as well as 1.16 - and not, as I initially suspected, due to PD re-issuing all updates due to a messy patched codebase.
The glitch in the update network has now been fixed and the incremental 1.16 update, which people appear to be getting now, is available and around 107mb.
Great news for those on slow internet connections!
The red knob of your g29 must be broken, because in my g29 it works perfectly
Sorry. It wasn't my title. It was changed by a mod for a front page articleThat thread title almost gave me a heart attack!! I thought the OP meant it was a massive content update! Noooo haha dang it!!
Let's get rid of any virtual cars from daily races first. I hate to race against any GT which doesnt exist IRL
24.90€ per month for every home. I also know this is not possible everywhere in the world so I can feel your frustrations

Jeez, where do you live, in the middle of a corn field in Nebraska? Before I changed ISP's a year ago, I was paying about $80/65€ for less than a megabyte per second download (10 Mbps), and would also stop working at nighttime.
Thank you!Can confirm. Only 107,5 MB now. Luckily I waited.
That update notice wasn't published until about 5 hours after the update was available and the 24gb download was giving everyone with slow internet connections a heart attack! The way I read that update...
Cancel update in downloadsHow would i go about installing the smaller update now?
Yup, me too. I have pretty fast internet, but 24Gb is still 24Gb!Can confirm. Only 107,5 MB now. Luckily I waited.
The exhaust backfire is still bugged for me. Is it the same for anyone else?
Wait, what? Is that a thing or are you just messing around?
Sooo... if I already downloaded the update, is there a way I can delete it, and then redownload the smaller one?
I'm concerned about hard drive space.
