I hadn't given that any thought. That would be really weird.

It must be a fantasy track then. Surprised they are hyping a new, never before seen, fantasy track up so much.

Yep, fantasy track with huge useless bridge for 400+ km/h speed

So googled bridges in Provence, not one matched the one in the video though, or I haven’t looked hard enough.

Seems to me it could be a fantasy one, mere speculation at this stage like everyone else. But clearly the bridge is of some importance to the update?

Exactly. If it is a fantasy track then why show us a bridge... twice... Unless it is part of the track. If it's a real location then the bridge has to be within viewing/rendering distance cause what's the point of adding it if its not.

Interesting.

Interesting.

Seems people from that region don’t reconigse the bridge, I think it’s all fantasy but clearly the bridge must hold a “special” place for this update.

Literally all we know its some track in France with a bridge, it could be Special Stage Route X 2 for all we know

Came to same conclusion. Verdon France

Look at that hill

Edit.. Actually the hill looks to be in mirror.. :guilty:

Theres also this bridge somewhere at Verdon France. No tower/suspension, but could work as inspiration..

Back in the GT6 subforum, in the “Create your own DLC pack” thread I described a circuit nearly like this. A road course surrounding a lake with mountains in the background and a long bridge straight as the centerpiece. I’m excited to see what PD will envision with this similar concept.

I don’t care if this is FIA worthy or not. I just want to drive a track that I’ve never seen before. I don’t like it when there’s a returning track like Spa that’s in 20 other games on the PS4 included in an update. I want original stuff that’s actually interesting to me. Thank you PD for sticking with the surprises and left-field choices.

What’s that track in Argentina that’s on a old volcano has a lake in the middle? Wish it was that track, FIA GT1’s used to race there & I think wtcc

Verdon is in Southwest France, and is nowhere near the Provence region.

You sure? Google Earth says it’s in Provence is all? I mean if it isn’t then fair enough mate :)

. Thank you PD for sticking with the surprises and left-field choices.

Except adding another fictional circuit isn't a left-field choice at all for PD since we have so many. Oddly enough, adding Spa is the real left-field choice ..

Looks like the aquitaine bridge to me

but this is bordeaux not provence
It's also got the wrong tower layout, the wrong stanchions (again, one is actually on the land for the real thing), the wrong deck style and the deck itself is rather lower:

At the moment, all signs point to fictional, but no doubt we'll be teased more in the next three weeks!

If the bridge is really a part of the track, which looks likely then my guess is this will be the longest original track in GT Sport yet. Let's hope for some elevation changes too.

Please PD give us more real live tracks. I would pay for a DLC with a few tracks in it. I really like GTS but the lack of real live tracks is a shame. I can't understand how tracks like Spa, Silverstone, Barcelona aren't in the game since launch. I mean, com' on you are Gran Turismo your Sticker is on so many race cars around the world that it's crazy that the amount of real live tracks is so small. When they will add Sebring I will forgive this guy called Kaz, otherwise I'm not sure if they ever will satisfied me. And no, I have nothing against fictional Tracks, give us as many as you can but real live tracks are a lot more important.
