What it will probably be

Based on what I am seeing on Google maps, I think the following are all of the racetracks in Provence, France. I am a geologist, not a geographer, so apologies if the list is wrong and these places are not all in Provence.

  • Circuit Automobile Paul Ricard

  • Circuit du Var Luc

  • Circuit Du Grand Sambuc

  • Circuit de Monaco

This is a difficult one... It could be a new layout for Alsace, it could be a scenic circuit or... it is something completely different.

Im glad it isn't Grand Valley, only because if PD had gotten rid of those tunnels, it'll just be one ruined track.

Edit: I can now strike alsace off the list.

It's not Alsace, provence is at the bottom end of France Alsace is further up the country. They specifically said it's in the provence region

I'm glad another teaser has revealed the location so far. This is looking more like a new original course.
I think the lake in question is located in Annecy, a famous tourist spot said to be the setting of some fairy tales.

Wrong region, wrong area of France.

that castle looking thing looks more like a grain silo to me. Probably a result of being located on a sea port

OK, but why would they bother creating all this huge surroundings which is not even close to any of real track location? Are they ever put a real race track in game and make huge surroundings around track? No!

Yeah gonna be my favorite hearing how the track is garbage because I can't go over 50% throttle in my aventador for half the lap if I don't crash on the first hairpin at first.

I'm not sure how a new fantasy track would satisfy anyone. The old GT heads want the classic tracks, and another contingent wants real-world circuits. How big is the subset of people who think DT Gardens and Kyoto Y+M are stellar and want more of that?
I like the new tracks compared to the old ones which would feel too simplistic for a modern racing sim.

I hadn't given that any thought. That would be really weird.

It must be a fantasy track then. Surprised they are hyping a new, never before seen, fantasy track up so much.

There has been a lot of Googling about lakes and tracks lately, we can be sure of that !

The teasers just start with a black background dark fade-in created in a video editor typical of cinematic scenes.
I understand that. But it is a teaser. Making it the way you say wouldnt make it a teaser now would it ? And if people are claiming tracks and cars and lorries based on 1 pixel I am sure that my suggestions are not that weird ?

I know logic thinking is out of place with PD. Still it makes no sense to only introduce a fantasy track in a complete different way than all other updates we got. Makes no sense at all.

Dont get me wrong, I would welcome any fantasy track. I am somebody that loved all the free updates. Even if I would need to pay for them. But something is going on here.

I miss sierra just for the fun of driving classic cars across it but I'd prefer they made a more refined concept of a track like sierra taking full advantage of the extra PS4 power and a better setting.

The teaser is most likely hinting at a new original track that will use that suspension bridge. Paul Ricard, Monaco or any other French track is very unlikely at this point.

So googled bridges in Provence, not one matched the one in the video though, or I haven’t looked hard enough.

Seems to me it could be a fantasy one, mere speculation at this stage like everyone else. But clearly the bridge is of some importance to the update?
