I love Spa and want it in GT Sport more than any other track BUT to save me from tears I have decided it isn't coming to the game at all, unless PD actually say different.

i meant e.g., jeez

I'm talking about the GT's website code, where you can see mention of a Group A.

If the new Mercedes F1 car will belong to this class, the Group C cars (remember that this class isn't mentioned in the website's code) will stay in the Gr.1 class.

maybe PD will bring this class in the yesterday's update? i don't know.

for now, i can say 100% that this group will not come into the game.
Yeah, uh I know that you meant eg.
That's not the point =°=
I was asking why you were so sure that the Group C cars will not be in Gr. A

At least you answered my question. I have a strong feeling that the F1 will be placed in Gr. X, like all other cars that cannot be placed into a category with similar-paced cars, but it's just my speculation. My bet is that Gr. A will bring in touring cars that follow a ruleset similar to the Group A of old, but I'm still wishing that they would somehow segregate Group C from Gr. 1, which can only be possible through Gr. A because it's already in the code

I fully agree with you that PD may not bring in Gr. A in this update, but I think 100% is a strong word. Until PD releases all the info available, everything we're talking about is speculation. But that's just me nitpicking :P

@alp that's true :cheers:

i don't think that F1 will be placed into the Gr. X class, doesn't make any sense.

only category that F1 could fit is a Gr. A class.

i bet that dtm-styled touring cars won't make any apperance into the game.

Why make a Group A for one car? Group X can already be a little bit separated. For example the expensive Jag will only be against the expensive Ferrari in custom race if you pick it.

Or if you race the F1500 Gr.X car, the AI will all be the F1500 Gr.X car.

Group X isn't a collective group, and as the W08 will only be used for One Make, it 100% will be in Group X and will only race against fellow W08's.

It makes sense to me. Gr. X is basically a dumping place for any car that can't be classed with other cars that are on the same level as it. The old F1 was placed in Gr. X, as well. It wouldn't make much sense to put it in Gr. A on its own, when there's an old F1 car that's sitting in Gr. X. I mean, PD had the balls to categorize Group C in Gr. 1, so why not group the old F1 and new F1 together if they are indeed going to classify the new F1 in Gr. A?

DTM cars are loosely based off of Class 1 regulations, and will fully conform to it in 2019 or 2020. SGT are also loosely based off of these regulations, and will fully conform in the same year to be able to merge SGT and DTM together. Hence, DTM styled cars are already in the game

I don't think it will be Group X, as I think it's being used for Suzuka in the FIA championship and they didn't mention the group in the schedule, leading me to think new groups are coming, as they didnt anounce the new track in the new schedule either.

Just a hunch, but the groups are becoming a mess now and more are needed to avoid just bunging everything in Group X. PD can make as many groups as they like so why not?

Yes pls. Segregate Group C from Gr. 1! :P
yeah, but i was talking about dtm-styled touring cars from the e.g. 90's.
If that's the case, that's sadly true

They never mention the Group the car is in for a One Make race.

SPA is should be on the updated list....
FYI that post was 100% sarcasm when I posted it and anyone expecting Spa for tomorrow should really just stop so they aren’t disappointed when it’s not in the update even though they never teased it, said anything about it, and the update is falling on the fictional half of the real/fictional track pattern.

But like Tsukuba, Le Mans and Monza before it (in their respective updates), it hasn't been teased beforehand. So everything is still on the table.

I’m just saying don’t get your hopes up only for them to be completely demolished.

I was browsing the QM Exiles thread still trying to get what it's all about, and then I came across @Mwerte's car teaser picture. He said he didn't edit anything, but for some reason his pic is the only one I can see a wing on the Ford GT...

Quite frankly, I'm very disappointed that PD will include a GT3-spec car from 2004. It's just really out of place for my personal taste just like Group C in Gr. 1, and probably aerodynamically/mechanically outdated compared to the others. Maybe, maybe BoP can still try to fix it since it's not as long a shot as Group C in Gr. 1, but it'll probably end up like iRacing's case where no one uses the car because it's out of place already
