I know this is not likely to happen, but Isle of man would be so goddamn awesome. Because this time attack subaru came in the game I got excited...
Nevertheless I am very pleased of the content so far

Dont know where you're getting your info from but you are so wrong! The Super GT season has never run at Tsukuba and most certainly has not run at Le Mans, Spa, Silverstone and Daytona! And also, where is concrete comfirmation that Deep Forest is being released? So far all we've had is a discussion about the technicalities of making it work for GTS.

Jeez, as far as i know, all we do here is to speculate and yes, i was wrong about the SuperGT season (i was with Arta NSX's lap record in my mind), but do not take things out of context, when i said "these", i was referring to the cars of this update (r92, sauber c9/c11 and xjr 9), in continuation to the my previous posts, obviously not the SuperGT cars, which by the way, made a presentation lap in Hockenheim...:P

It's definitely strange that they introduced Gr.2 Super GT cars out of the blue, but no new Super GT tracks to go with them. The way these updates have gone makes it appear like they have no real plan and just sort of release things as they finish them.

Maybe PD is spending extra time on Fuji in order to correctly simulate its disintegrating astroturf. ;)

Circuit of the Americas maybe?
I was thinking about Pikes Peak for a few reasons:
  • According to Codemasters, PD has acquired the exclusive license (after the release of Dirt Rally, I would think);
  • The official name of the race is: "The Broadmoor's Pikes Peak International Hillclimb, brought to you by Gran Turismo", so they're strongly tied together;
  • Since 2015, GT has been the platinum sponsor of the race and its logo always appears on every car, bike, ATV, helmet, board and everything else;
  • Some key directors and organizers of the race/mountain are thanked in the game's final credits; one of them was recently hired by Polyphony.
We know this race takes place at the end of June and that would be the perfect moment to add it, in my opinion. Of course, all of this is pure speculation on my part because nothing so far has been officially confirmed by PD.

Update could just randomly include Pike's Peak.

In a perfect world Pikes Peak would come together with Deep Forest and Le mans.But if it is coming that will be the first update to the rally section of GTS which makes me wonder what other rally tracks Polyphony has in their minds....Monte Carlo Rally?

I think it will cost the same as it did in GT 6 ca 2,150,00 or something like that, I would also buy the Sauber C9 if I had to choose, but in my opinion it didn't have a great sound in GT 6, let's hope the sound is similar to the Sauber C9 in Project Cars 1 :).
Hopefully this is the case so I won't have to choose between the R92CP and the C9. Both are absolutely brilliant.

Car guessing and track wishing aside for a moment, I think PD may drop Stage 9 "Mission Challenges", possibly even Stage 10 too, to the campaign.
Thinking 8-16 new missions utilising a crop of new cars and the recent Gr.2 class etc on Dragon Trail Gardens, Tsukuba etc?

Great to again see more to come for free, genuinely love that this company is trying to not go the microtransactions route.

That said, I'm not downloading this one as I now need to say 'no more' to the poor sport mode. Could have been fantastic, but just an utter failure so far. Only good news is they are actively trying, for that effort and my love of GT with my truest hopes they pull me back in after I read here that racing is proper. I'll hold hope and not give up completely.

Until then, free cars ain't what I'm looking for. I'm happy in a box, so long as we can race!

A friend of mine just reported he received the Lamborghini Miura as a Daily Gift Car last night. I've asked him for a screenie but I imagine that it will confirm the presence of the Miura in the next update.

Not really. It would suggest that it's already in the game before the update, unless he's somehow got hold of the next update several days before anyone else...

... but it's more likely he's just lying.

In the game 'Before' or 'After' the new cars get released, whichever, not much need to shoot on somebody looking to get involved in the discussion just for that... I don't have any reason to doubt the guy, I've raced with him for a couple of years of PCARS2, maybe he is twisting the truth but it's not exactly a far fetched vehicle choice he's supposedly received. Nobody has any reason to believe me either but hey, thought it was worth mentioning!

It very much is.

The car is, on the strength of the silhouettes posted by Kazunori Yamauchi, one of the nine arriving in the next update. For any player to even see it in the prize car carousel, never mind win it, it has to be in the game code. That creates two possible conditions for receiving it:
1) The car is present in the game code before the update which will supposedly bring it, or
2) The player has received the update containing the car before anyone else

As far as I'm aware, no other player has seen this car in the carousel. It'd be one of 222 (assuming the 221-car list, plus the Miura alone), so the chance of any player seeing it at all is 4/222 - or about 2%. With even a low-ball of 10,000 daily players, you'd expect 200 players to have seen it and thus 25 to have received it. If we're supposing the car was in a previous update somewhere, and the last update arrived a month ago, there should be 750 players who own the car... That almost precludes this as a possibility - we'd have heard about it weeks ago.

Perhaps he received the update early somehow. I'm not aware of this ever happening - or at least beyond a couple of hours at any rate.

Of course there is a third possibility:
3) Didn't happen.

Mayber, for some reason, your friend - a joke, "banter", craving attention - has decided to make something up.

Uhh... nobody shot "on" you. I pointed out that it's only a confirmation of the car arriving in the next update if he already has the next update, and that this is unlikely. I also pointed out that, if it's true, it's a confirmation that it's already in the game, although this is also unlikely.

If anyone should feel shot "on", it's your mate who's told you something that seems incredibly unlikely - especially as you haven't taken him at his word either, to the point of asking for a screenshot...

I've asked him for a screenie
