GT Sport's Next Update Arrives This Week, Brings Cars, Tracks, and Rain

Not open for further replies.
I would've really hoped for a nice Le Mans 97-99 Update with the Porsche GT1, Toyota GT-One, CLK-LM, Nissan R390 and BMW V12 LMR but they surely would've dropped that around the real event, chances now seem very slim for any of those coming to the game anytime soon if at all :(

That means 5 Gr.3 cars and 1 Gr.4 added in a year and a half. I'm sorry to say it but it's simply not enough.

(Incoming rant apologies but i have to take this of my chest)
So it looks like im not gonna be able to boot up the game to even check the update because that plastic 🤬 of 🤬🤬 called dualshock 4 decided to brake down! 🤬 Sony . (Before anyone asks no i didn't drop it punched it etc and i haven't used it no way near enough to justify this. ) So enjoy the update everyone
Things don't break on their own.

...yeah, even those, we sadly have only one rally car, it is old S1 from Group B, there are so many more of them that need to be in game...
I concur. I suddenly miss the old days of playing the older GTs which had over a thousand cars. :(

On the bright side, now you have a good excuse to get a wheel. It does everything the DS4 does and more. And it's a helluva lot more fun to use. BTW, I am aware there is a slight price difference.. :D Now bring on that update already. I want to drive my 69 Camaro in a classic Penske livery.

Why? Nothing has changed to make the game BETTER. GT League is a joke of chase the rabbit nonsense. All it's had are more cars and tracks to use in not very many useful ways.

I know its hard to beliave but in this case it literaly broke on its own thats why im so upset.

I would love to but sadly im disabled but thats another topic thank you for the suggestion tho.

"Sorry @courageC60, can't see any improvement..." ;)

That’s absolutely not true. Every single person I know who had the day-one PS4 inevitably had DS4 issues, myself included. Even on newer DS4’s, the R2 trigger pad wears out prematurely.

It’s a really awful peripheral.
Sure, go ahead, spin my words into something completely different.

The controllers don't break if they aren't being used by someone. Does that spell it out better for you to comprehend?

Personally I’ve had no issues with mine and I may or may not have thrown it a couple times in anger!

It's an unpopular opinion on this site but I have to agree with you, considering that we have a championship that revolves completely around GT3 and GT4 racing cars we received way too few cars of said groups. The fact that PD is not pushing to put in game those racing cars is a bit sad.
For the record, if GT Sport were to have the same amount as https://www.blancpain-gt-series.com/cars(10 cars), there'd probably be more of an uproar. We're only missing GT3 Bentley and GT3 911.

Me, personally, I'd love PD to have the exact cars in that championship. As it is, we have more choices. Some questionable by many players(Replacing Bugatti for Bentley, in GT3 and Gr.4 and Gr.1, might have fixed that). However, we have a mix of everything, for players that love certain brands. PD have/are trying to have something for everyone.

Gr.4 are missing some, but as I posted a few pages back, some real ones weren't made by the time GTS launched. https://www.gt4-america.com/cars
https://european.gt4series.com/gb_en/cars https://www.britishgt.com/cars
In this class, we're only missing GT4 KTM, R8 LMS GT4, Alpine GT4, Camaro GT4, Ginetta GT4, MAserati GT4. That's not much, considering all the cars we have in the Gr.4 class.

Since nobody else can be bothered to post anything which is actually on topic.... :banghead:

I've been doing my usual game of "guess the GT League races in the update". My guesses are:

1 event 3 races Rain Masters (Professional or Amateur) (if there are 3 wet tracks) or 2 new races in GR.B Beginner event including Wet Bull Ring if there is only one.

1 event, 3 races Professional (or maybe Amateur) event with the new 2019 Competition, including Sardegna Road track

2 races added to the "Kei cars" Beginner event including Goodwood and possibly the Sardegna Road Track short route B (with extension to allow the new Toyota S800 in the Event).

2 races added to the Hatchback Amateur event including Goodwood and Sardegna Road Track short route B.

2 races added to Professional pre 1979 event including Goodwood and Sardegna Road Track (route A or C).

1 Endurance race (hmmm GR.1 I reckon) at Sardegna Road Track longest route (is that A or C?)

It could be a bumper update for GT League this time around 👍

Quite an impressive amount of free content added since launch - and a fair number of real tracks new to the series too.
I just wonder how long till we get a classic 911...! :(

That's not much, considering all the cars we have in the Gr.4 class.

...there are so many GT3/GTE cars that are missing, not to mention GT300s where some cars are totally different then current GT3s.

Problem is, PD is ranking cars in like 6 groups (N, Gr1/2/3/4/B) which is stupid... They need to change this... Take for example Porsche RSR, it is a GTE car, power is irrelevant, but aero, it has different aero then GT3 specs cars. Then there is this new/old McLaren F1... totally different beast... and of course imaginary Gr3 cars (Atenza/6, NSX, Corvette, Jag... those cars do exist as GT3s yet we have something...)

RUI
Quite an impressive amount of free content added since launch - and a fair number of real tracks new to the series too.
I just wonder how long till we get a classic 911...! :(

Soon™️

Thanks for this. I was going to look up comparisons to see which carry-overs were actually remodeled from scratch as well. This makes it easier.

I'd think another Gr.4 race will be added for the Sardegna and St.Croix courses.

Wet track for Gr.B.

Red Bull event

That means 5 Gr.3 cars and 1 Gr.4 added in a year and a half. I'm sorry to say it but it's simply not enough.

You forgot the 7 Gr.1 and 6 Gr.2 cars added as well, which is more than double the amount of cars you mentioned. Although it is true that Gr.4 could use a new car or two, namely the Toyota Supra, Alpine A110 and KTM X-Bow.

That’s absolutely not true. Every single person I know who had the day-one PS4 inevitably had DS4 issues, myself included. Even on newer DS4’s, the R2 trigger pad wears out prematurely.

It’s a really awful peripheral.
The funny thing is i got the PS4 slim GT Sport bundle i have it for less than 2 years with a bit more than average usage (at worst) and it was ok last night but a faw hours later when i woke up the directional buttons were no more... dispite using them for only like 2% of the time.
