If rain isnt coming in this update for me there may as well be no update this month, couldnt care less about those cars and that track.

yes clearly you have driven the new track by travelling 24 hours into the future in your delorean lol

...and rain will change it dramatically right, having preset track condition is nothing so spectacular TBH

Frankly I only care about the Clio V6 since that's a awesome car and the Toyota Tundra because it's a pickup(the F150, as the only pickup truck in the game, was lonely).

I have no thoughts on the track for now, I need to see more footage of it, doesn't look like anything special.

I hope rain weather comes in this update, even if only for a single track, but I also know that I shouldn't get hyped about it since it ain't confirmed yet.

Still though, free update is free update in my book, and I'll gladly accept it :)

I still want my Interlagos with rain weather though, it has to happen.

I'm not giving up hope on rain yet.

If it's an option on only 1 track or limited number of tracks like some have speculated. That would be a hard thing to clarify in the teaser video without everyone assuming it was universal. So to avoid that confusion they may have not mentioned it. Maybe.

I'm not that excited by rain. I can wait for it. It's a nice addition but I live in Raincouver and prefer the fantasy of nice weather like in Sardinia.

Haha, as I thought!! People crying because it appears that there's no rain coming in tomorrow's update....You own faultS for assuming it was coming this month in the first place, without anyone from PD confirming it......Have a little patience, right boys and girls...? :dopey:

In the meantime, you could always play PCARS 2, lots of rain there when needed....Ahhhh and the new F1 game out this week too....Wet there at times also! ;)

Gt finally posted the update on there website. Still no mention of rain.
For those desperate I have one more strand of hope to give you
In all other initial blog posts on the website, they end with this:
“There will be various other features, improvements and revisions included in this update. We hope you continue to enjoy the always-evolving Gran Turismo Sport”
The 1.40 one ended like this:
“Look for other various features, improvements and repairs implemented in this update. We hope you enjoy the continuing evolution of Gran Turismo Sport.”
Maybe they’re trying to make it a surprise, for those who didn’t watch the live events? That’s the last chance of rain being in the update. Here’s hoping I guess.

With the exception of Maggiore, Dragon Trail and Kyoto, I have the feeling that the new clues are becoming more generic, as they had been made in a basic editor.

When we looked at the first original tracks of the GT franchise, we saw personality and identity in each one. It's not like this anymore.

I have this feeling.

No rain confirmed finally :ouch:

Well crud. Bit dissapointed since this time PD repeatedly teases it and even posted the hotlap of the rain.

Many game publications covers this rain thing i meant. Like, countless, almost all.

Still better than nothing i guess? New car and track....not my very cup of tea like new cars in April Update but still.....thanks for the free update i guess.

Well, its free and it certainly looks like free content. Underwhelming to be honest.

You have way too high expectations. 3 layouts and 5 cars for free, where the vehicle car models are some of the best in the industry. Also, PD has a reputation for great fictional circuits, and they hardly look 'cheap'.

This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:
This article was published by Andrew Evans (@Famine) on June 24th, 2019 in the Gran Turismo Sport category.
First things first> I really hate to complain about this game just because I realize it does no good but this is getting a little ridiculous. First off what happened to the post saying GT Sports next update will include rain. Not the case. Which, big picture, is not a big deal seeing how we have gone since the release without having it in game. Now by biggest grudge. I just want to say, unless its Kaz, who ever is in charge of deciding what cars should be added via update needs to be let go from PD. I get that there free but literally 85% of cars released since release, have no business being in a sim that claims to be all about racing. Dont get me wrong I enjoy racing road cars more than anyone else but I feel that there needs to be a constant flow of both vintage and modern racing cars to the game, from prototype to GT4. I can assure you the number of people who would choose a 03 Audi TT Quattro 3.2 over a modern racing car in GT Sport is a very very small number. I dont think there has been more than 3-5 racing cars added since updates.

So what's the big deal behind the rain for people...The drifting experience??

It'd make waaaay more sense to add rain only if there is time and weather changes...that is if we are really talking environmental weather effects having some realistic simulation qualities. But I heard the PS4 can't support it without messing with overall game performance

3 things:

1) PD never actually confirmed there would be wet weather arriving in this update as far as I'm aware
2) The GTP article on this never confirmed there would be wet weather arriving in this update either
3) Polyphony - If a huge chunk of your fanbase is speculating about a feature arriving in the next update it's generally a good idea to correct them on it to avoid negative sentiment around the update

Where are you getting your numbers from?

The thing that really gets me is that folks are aiming their frustration at GTP staff, which is unfair because it was never guaranteed that wet weather would be included in this update.
A lot of people see rumours as facts and don't read probably aka read the headline only. This is the case all around the internet and one of the most annoying aspects of discussions. Doesn't matter if we talk about console or game rumours or any rumours to be honest.

There will be various other features, improvements and fixes implemented in this update. Please enjoy the continuing evolution of Gran Turismo Sport.

confirme RAIN :D

This doesn't specifically confirms that rain will be coming in this next update, and something as big as rain weather wouldn't just be reduced to "other features", that's just nonsense.

PD would do something like that. I do not think rain will come, in fact I highly doubt it.
And plus I didn't mention rain...
