GT Sport's Next Update Arrives This Week, Brings Cars, Tracks, and Rain

Where are you getting your numbers from?

As a rough count I got 28 race cars, maybe 20-22 if you want to take out things like the Audi VGT Gr.1 and Ferrari 250 GTO. A little far from the 3-5 @LR-MR-Cole came up with.

His 85% of cars not belonging in a racing game is super subjective, or just flat out wrong as any car has the right to be raced!

A lot of people see rumours as facts and don't read probably aka read the headline only. This is the case all around the internet and one of the most annoying aspects of discussions. Doesn't matter if we talk about console or game rumours or any rumours to be honest.

I mean, don't get me wrong. Rain possibly being in this update was an educated guess. It was showcased at a major event, which we got to see in action, so it was safe to at least entertain the possibility of it being featured with this update since we actually had some visual evidence to support its existence. But to be realistic, I imagine something as gameplay intensive as rain will take some time to implement and will happen over the span of a few updates.

With the exception of Maggiore, Dragon Trail and Kyoto, I have the feeling that the new clues are becoming more generic, as they had been made in a basic editor.

When we looked at the first original tracks of the GT franchise, we saw personality and identity in each one. It's not like this anymore.

I will wait to see if rain is included in “other improvements,” otherwise I won’t waste my time the GT Sport disc remains outside of the PS4. I’ll continue to play AC. Yeah, I know, there’s no rain in that either, but it has more for me and I like it a whole lot more. If you have a wheel and don’t play online I can not fathom why you’re not doing the same. Anyway, to each their own.

I mean, I still have the Nurburgring event left, but with how much I have and still suck at Nordschliefe; I don't think I'm going to beat it anytime soon.

Let's be honest. Had PD did not show the rain tracks, didn't use it for its Esports, and not releasing the lap video, you all will not as dissapointed as quite lot of peeps here now.

Might as well ask them to update the car selection for Arcade Mode where all the cars in the game (as well as future cars through DLC) can be used right away as rental cars.

Either way I'm looking forward to the five cars we're getting.

If rain is indeed included in the upcoming update why they didn't put it in the trailer? That's just weird, it's one the most requested feature in the game after all. Maybe they'd would surprise us tomorrow, the rain got leaked earlier right? Maybe PD are trolling us

The article says nothing new. It just is surprised at the lack of rain shown in the trailer after it was shown before. Which is the exact same sort of article as been done on GTP and other sites.

The article 'presumes' rain will come in an update at some point, just like the rest of us presume that.

Rain is a pretty big feature that could be an entire update in itself. Anyone still expecting it in this update even after the details not mentioning anything about it, don't set yourself up for further disappointment.

Everyone has a different taste and presumably they choose cars by availability [need to scan cars and take photos] and statistics from previous games or forums. We don't have an official answer iirc, but this makes the most sense to me.
