Yeah, so when I was qualifying there were only four of us on the track and only four of us on the field for the actual race. Is the PSN acting up or what? It just wasn't working for me so I guess I'll just join next week.

Every series has one of 'those' nights. This was that night. This was a rough one, the network was not on our side. We had three finishers on the last race thanks to it.

For everyone who got disconnected, remember this: You will drop that score later in the weeks to come.

Hoping that next week's race at the Nurburgring will go smoother.

Out of curiosity how many people did you have in race 1 and then in race 2. I had shoot in both my races but a total of 5 in race 1 and four in Race 2. The only car that passed me was Shoot in the Australian Pursuit race, but I think he was racing someone I couldn't
See. There were three finishers in the first race and two in race 2.

To make it public and wanting the views of everyone in the league, El and I had an incident during the first race on the second lap. I know he is mad about it and with just cause.

During the hairpin we had two contacts, he had the inside going into the turn but due to braking later he drifted to the outside while I went to the inside. I thought I had l had left enough room on the outside but did not for the exit. Resulting in my rear end hitting his front bumper. It caused him to go onto the dirt and thankfully he did not spin out. However he got passed by Jay and Ed because of this incident.

I do apologize for this El, I should have left a little more room on that exit.

I don't have the replay for some reason but from what you said if you hit him on exit and forced him in the sand you should of waited for him regardless of how light the tap may have been. It's always the overtaking drives responsibility to make the pass clean. From what you said it sounds like you were overtaking him when you entered the corner.

I can't believe it. I fell asleep like 5 minutes before the race. Unbelievable. I was down to consistent mid 21's.

no problem sbsm, its just a race incident, fortunally a don't spin out and recover the position later... And if you don't pass me there it's a matter of time you catch me... This miata's was unstopable in this track. The bmw feels heavy in the s's and strugles with tires. I see the replay and this miata's going so smooth and clean.

Announcement post time!

My apologize for not updating the points, but there appear to be a few discrepancies in the finishing order for the two races. We are currently working on sorting everything out.

But looking ahead to the Nurburgring, just a couple of things.

This will be endurance race #2, with 6 laps on the Type V layout. That means one mandatory pit stop that can be taken at any point in the race. You may pit more than once.

We are going to ditch mics in an effort to hopefully make the room run smoother on race days. Not that I don't like talking to you guys, but it may help. We ran the first few rooms without, and those worked out fine. Tuesday nights, sure. We have a lighter crowd then. But not when we have a full room.

I am leaning towards reverting back to standing starts for the season. I do like the idea of the rolling start and it makes sense, but it becomes difficult when everyone isn't able to communicate. We really don't think we'll need it for the rest of the season, and we weren't planning to do it this week anyway.

And last, but very far from least: The time acceleration.
I wanted to do something interesting for this race, which was start in the dark and drive through the sunrise. I think it's an awesome effect and will make the race interesting! I have the race starting at 4:45 in game time with a 10x time acceleration. With this, the first lap will be dark, with the sunrise starting soon after lap 2 begins.
However, there is a problem that I see. With our qualifying format, everyone is gonna get one qualifying lap here. And all of the in game sessions will start at the same time. So... that means that everyone's one and done qualifying lap will be in the dark. I am okay with this, but I have a feeling that won't fly with everyone. Let me know what you guys think, we may save this for Bathurst and I'll rework the start time for here.

Long winded, but there it is. Hope to see you guys this week!

Hey guys, maybe can't make nür. Im in the beach with my kids and comeback home thursday o friday... My kids are the boss now ajjaja... For the next time i think we need win double points for endurance races... Now we win the same for shorts races... Its my opinion. Night qualy its ok for me. See you guys!

The qualifying lap in the dark will lead to interesting results. I am not a fan of qualifying in the dark, but so be it. It will only help make all of us better at this track and aid us in our pursuit to become better racers on GT6.

Practice tonight will primarily focus on night driving, then. We'll see how it works out, I haven't run a night race at the Ring in a while.

And we are practicing at the Nurburgring! Friend's only room.

Event finished. See you guys Thursday!

Um you should probably try and hit 8:30's or under for the win.
If you drive a miata lol ! Sirocco with rookie driver started out at @9:30 by end of session down to 9:08 which might be mid pack....of course if the miatas fall off the island...it will be a much more interesting time ! There really is something about the 'Ring when you get in the zone. Can't wait.

About winning rather forget, the times that I was able to achieve were somewhere in between 9:04, 9:03, I'm worried about only fast tire wear, integra consumes front tires very quickly.

I think the fastest I got was an 8:55. I have no idea how the tires will hold up on the Integra, but I was impressed with the VW's. It'll do 3 laps easy, the Integra may not do too bad.

Okay, so everyone is probably wondering why I haven't updated the points since last week.

The Short Answer: We are going to rerun the races at Apricot Hill.

The Longer Answer: The network really messed with things last week. Not only did pretty much everyone get kicked on race two, but there were other issues. I, as well as some other people have told me that they did not see everyone on track during the races. Because of this, people have different results. I think it would be best to rerack and try this one again.
We will do this the week before Bathurst, so this will be the second to last race meet. Bathurst will still be the finale. The rest of the schedule will go as planned.

Please remember everyone to clear your cache before entering the room Thursday, that should help. We'll see you guys for what should be an interesting race tomorrow!
