For myself I've been using a tune for a long time before this series from a gtp member Graveltrap (that one is also linked on the first page of this thread). Maybe I'm just so use to it from using it long term, but it worked perfectly at Laguna...

But for Suzuka I might need some adjustment... hm, usually i can only make a car go slower if a touch a sigle thing on it, but if i make improvments i'm looking for, i'll post them :)

But most of all, I really wanted to say thanks to all the guys that i've practiced for Laguna week before - because i've noticed how friendly you have treated me when I was trying to make up time during race... Thank you guys 👍

Not everyone likes wet races, however at the start of the series several drivers wanted to have some wet races.
We have only 2 of the 9 races that have real weather.

Guide for new drivers to wet races

It has only rained once in the many test races this week.
If it does rain it should again dry out later in the race

For new drivers note that they must equip their cars with inters and wet tyres in case of the rain.

Dry tyres can work up to 30%
Inters work between 20% up to 60%
Wet tyres are good above 50%

On dry tyres there is better grip on the dark rubbered in racing line in the wet.
On Inters and Wet tyres there is better grip off the dark rubbered in racing line in the wet.

As the track dries out to 0% wet it can still be very wet offline for up to 10 minutes after.

DONT FORGET THE UK CLOCKS GO BACK ON SUNDAY

I'm at a 2:06.5 with RM's at Suzuka @320hp. Any other times that I can compare to. I need Race medium guys or race hard guys to compare to please. :)
Thanks

My first guess on at least 1 sec faster and i guessed on probaly 2 sec faster , it wasnt that good anyway , just did 2.03,812 on RM , i could say sorry for my bad guess , but i wount

Saturday my PS3 died :-(
Now I have to complete all necessary licenses until racestart.
I think I should have done it until Monday evening :-)
You dont have to do too many to be able to get online.
I had the same thing happen to me a year ago.

I'm officially "OUT" for Suzuka.
I just got my call from my boss, I have to work Monday morning. Too any reserves, my spot is now open for you guys to race. I'm going to really miss this one, I actually practiced to race this rain race.
Good luck to all.

thats SOOOOOO wrong off your boss , kick him from me please 💡 somehow its his fault that there is 1 less i can outrun with my car , unless it begins raining offcource :nervous:

Well, I have tried those 4 set-ups that SRT posted at top of the page... And all 4 are fun, all have diferent strenghts and shortcomings, but at the end of the lap they all have produced similar times, at least for me...

But i will still continue with setup i have modified from Graveltraps basis:
90/75
8.36/10.00
6/6
8/8
7/7
0/0
-0.05/0.10
BB 6/3
LSD 8/11/25
Full aero

I hope it doesn't rain ;)

really struggling with transmission tune, i watched others closely last night and it seems that i can corner at same speed as the fast guys and in some corners i am actually quicker using same lines but just not quick enough in straight line, very frustrating and one of the main reasons i enjoy 1 make racing, its just driving ability, but i understand a lot guys enjoy the setup side of things, just wish things related to real life, tuning transmission for example is crazy daft and people without knowledge of how these things work are at disadvantage, as long as i can compete with someone and not languishing at the back with no one to challenge i don't mind, for example within two of my tunes the difference per lap is 2 secs, gearbox seems a key component to victory, look forward to learning from you guys in coming weeks how to use the transmission setup to my advantage. loking forward to a great race tonight, good to race with some of you guys last night too.

Good stuff.
I will have a room open in 20 minutes and I can send you my gearbox settings if it helps, however remember that not always max revs is best, the torque curve may show around 6000 revs is the best peak power.
I will see you in a while

There is a way to make the transmission work i am told.

It is described as " flipping the tranny " and although this can be assumed nothing to do with car setups, i am told its standard practice for hard core tuners.

I think it involves putting everything in the transmission on default.

Then doing something that i am sure someone will post to help me out here ???:confused::confused::confused::ouch::nervous:

I am not sure what it actually does, but all the fast guys seem to use this method. Heeeeelp someone ?

Ahh, i just found a clip
