Ah man that was one exhausting race! it was so damn tight between aug, skeng and myself, I was gona do a 4 stopper, but when I saw that skeng went for a 3 stopper, and the pace he could do on worn tyres, I figured I had to do the same, no way I could gain ~36 seconds on him.
Had to stretch the last 2 stints far more than I was comfortable with, left tyres was down to just 1 both front and rear, I could'nt brake 100% because the car would just swerve to the right and spin. because of the uneven grip.
@SkengD : 2 questions: why did you abandon the 3 stopper?
and towards the end of the first stint, when I overtook on the inside, was there contact? and if so, I'm sorry.
@DrAug : Mega drive man, I had well above 30 second lead, but when my tyres went south, you closed so fast I was getting seriously worried!
Finally, everyone, please submit your incident reports if you have any.

Ok Gueven,Yes Stephen, both incidents between Gueven and Elefant, thats correct
to be very honest with you, myself and Erazer have both viewed the incidents.
In the first incident, Elefant made a mistake and hit the wall, and the replay does not show he had damage, but he was all over the place for the next 5 seconds.
You were a bit caught up in it, and in our opinion, although it was costly to you, we dont see that there was any intent to take an advantage of the situation.
It was Elfants first ever race, and we both saw that as a mistake on his part and that is all, just unfortunate that you were there, and these sort of things will happen.
The second incident we both feel was slightly against you.
Elefant was on the left and only moved slightly to the right as he entered the first part of the corner.
You were right over to the right and moved a long way over to the left.
Again we see this as an incident with no intent to take advantage.
It looked as though you were both trying to give each other room up until the last moment before the corner entry, and then you came together.
If you are unhappy with the decision Gueven, let me know, but in all honesty we both felt that there was no intent.

I should of stuck with the 3 stopper but during the middle of the race I lacked some concentration and pace so I just went the easier route .
Rome isnt the easiest place to drive on worn tires .
Great first stint though , I wish I had more time in the week to practice I think I have more pace in the car I just dont have the confidence .
1 08 7 was my best time which isnt that bad .

Congrats to Erazer, Aug and Sken.
Race - I was sure i would do very well at Rome.
I am never fast but i could run 2 stops of 30 minutes quite on RM tyres at in the 1 10s and 1 11s.
I was sure that RS were only going to last 15 minutes so i was sure that there were going to be many stops for most guys that ran them.
Of course i was wrong, they managed to keep them without a huge time drop off for 20 minutes.
It was a great fun race as i always had hope that as the race came to a close there would be many with very worn tyres struggling to finish and i would be there with better pace.
To add that glad we had a stable room in the end and 11 started and 11 finished, pretty impressive.
Also Mikey with a broken hand, you did well to get as far as you did mate.

Yes, it was his first race and if you have seen it, I have been patiently waiting behind him, until he was able to stabilize again, already at the chicane. I expected that he noticed this

Hey Gueven, are the reliability issues with Thrust as bad as made out ?? i will need new whell in future and have considered thrust but put off a little, i know 5 people with them and every one has something fail inside 12 months, whats been your experience, thanks.

Clearing Cashe
On Race nights when the room will be full, please ensure you clear your cashe, in main game screen press start / network / clear system cashe option, and also for a faster and more stable connection it is a good idea to restart your router before starting the game.
Ensure you have a look at this thread at least each Saturday morning as you will need to Post IN or OUT for the Mondays race.
Also practice in our room with us as much as possible as that way you will learn all our procedures.

I am very happy with the steering wheel. I bought it used. from a friend, and to change switch is very easy. I think that is quite normal signs of use.

i didn`t think you had done any practise this season skeng , but when you write like you just did , i cant help my self from hoping you did practise too the first races so far , but iff you didn`t practise for the first races , i can only say that you dont need too practise that much , which is VERY impressive

I'm not sure that I will get any practice in before the race either! I've been sick all week and I have a wedding and a birthday party to attend this weekend! My first laps will probably be in qualifying, but at least I have the advantage of starting on RM's
