And how about the ZZII? That car is crap IMO. (and they still call it a supercar.)

They call it because it is. It's a very good handler, laps quickly, and also holds the record as the fastest car in GT4 - with speeds over 380MPH clocked on it.

It's not crap. Try Daihatsu Midget if you're looking for crap(haulers)

That's a joke right!

I'm guessing you live with KMH, right? 'cuz no car in GT4 can reach that speed and I'm sure of that.

EDIT: The fastest car in GT4 is the Formula Gran Turismo (the F1 car).

Second time you're being arrogant and wrong.

I try to make it a habit not to post wrong information - and if I'm not sure, point it out. In this case, I have seen video proof of an uncheated TommyKaira reaching 380+MPH.

The Formula GT car is the quickest around (most - Nurburgring being the exception) circuits - but where again did I say the ZZII is the fastest? I said it's fast, because it isn't slow, and laps about as quick, if not quicker, than most cars in it's weight- and power-range.
However, lack of torque and lots of drag, as well as limited adjustability in the suspension-setup and downforce, prevent the FGT from reaching 300MPH - a speed many other cars have reached, ranging from Skylines, Supras and 3000GTs all the way to Sauber C9s, Toyota GT-Ones and back to the TommyKaira.

OK. But I only agree with you because I won the Supercar festival with the TommyKaira.

And the Minolta can reach that speed, too! I saw a video of a Minolta reaching 379 MPH.

I can only reach 303 MPH (I am still wondering how they do that!!??).

I don't doubt their speeds because I know it is all officially checked, but I can't even get those speeds myself using the wheelie trick.

I've done it! I've finally done it! I've completed Gran Turismo 4! I've been working on this since the day before it officially came out in Australia, restarted twice due to game corruption and the day finally came. Also, I must say that the black Formula GT sure looks nice.

You said you have "skillz" in the WRS thread. Surely you must have 380MPH "skillz" as well.

And that Minolta didn't reach 379MPH without a wheelie.

What A Load Of Ballox

I Watched A Video Of A Minolta Reachng 383 MPH on You Tube !

The Formula Gran Turismo Isnt Actually The Fastest I Reckon They Are Pish

Compared To My 787B And My Minolta which isnt quite as fast as id like

Anyway U R Hopeless if u think the fastest is that its like real life everyone thinks formula 1 cars are the fastest cars in the world

THEYRE NOT

THEYRE BORING

Type In Keith Cowie To Youtube Watch His 1/4 Mile Times

Id Like To See Lewis Hamilton Beat That !

Yet more uninformed bull

Keith Cowie, whoever that is, could just as well reach near-lightspeed in five nanoseconds for all I care. The second he reaches the hairpin at the end of Fuji Speedway, he's toast. While a Formula 1 car would brake incredibly late, turn amazingly fast, and accelerate.

Honest, I tried watching NHRA. Watching two guys chat for 5 minutes, then 5 second's worth of drag-racing, then chats again, is, unsurprisingly, even less interesting than Formula 1. Regardless of how interesting I think F1 is.

And the FGT, in Gran Turismo, or the Formula 1 cars in real life, are far faster than the 787B and Minolta - especially against your ones, or in real life.

Since everyone else seemed to ignore this:

Congrats!

Congratulations Jackington on your feat, now quickly, before you get bored with GT4, come and try some tuned cars by the tuning garages Aussie Tuners, Mad Finn Tuners and Rec 'n' Race Vehicles. You'd be surprised how fun they can be and how well they handle- Don't forget to write a review, it helps us get better for your future vehicles. That's right, if you need a vehicle tuned we'll do one for you if you write us a review.

* To save placing a new, probably unworthy, thread in the GT4 sub-forum i'll post my question here.

My question is: Is there any way to transfer records (I specifically mean race/license times) from a previous GT4 save to a new GT4 save?
The reason I ask is because after completing the game 100% about 2 years ago I've developed an urge to replay the game, but this time establishing a perfect clean-cut winning ratio, a better username and a 100,000 A-spec point record. I also spent hours upon hours polishing off license times for GTPlayground.net and I doubt I will find it easy, as well as finding the time, to manage those near-perfect times again.

I do wish this is possible, and I swear I've heard mentioned once or twice before, but I'm not quite sure it is.

I just did the Valley 300KM enduro in an M3GTR for 153 points, I had a comfortable lead and pitted on lap 57 (of 60) as my fronts were orange. I didn't refuel and I didn't replace the rears...what a mistake, I lost 25 seconds over 2 laps, won by 1.5 seconds in the end!

Not that I've ever heard of, but I'm no whiz with electronics in that way. Might I say that with GT5 so close no one will really care what records you have in GT4, so long as you have each license to be able to play the game.👍

*to save myself from making a new thread, here is a quick question

I wanted to ask about the VCD.How does it work? When i put the slider to the value 10, does it mean i have a 90%/10% FF car? And when I put it 50 then does it mean that it is a 10%/90% FR car? Where is the 50%/50% 4WD value? Value number 30? How does it work?

At 10, 10% of the power goes to the front wheels. You have a 90% RWD, 10% FWD car.

At 50, 50% of the power goes to the front wheels. You have a 50% RWD, 50% FWD car.

So I just like others have a question but would rather not start a new thread. Do you think that PD has modelled Track Grip Levels for different tracks, and different parts of the track? I notice when racing with a car that's always on the verge of wheelspin, the wheels are more likely to spin when you wander off the darkened with rubber racing line then they are on that racing line. I wondered if that because of that rubber there they have modelled a higher level of grip for that part of the track? And then there's the difference between tracks. I know that a bumpy track will cause traction loss for fairly obvious reasons, but some tracks when compared to each other seem to offer different levels of grip because of different road surfaces. Take New York and Grand Valley Speedway. New York is just standard street bitumen as opposed to GVS's race track bitumen and as such New York seems to offer less grip than GVS. What do you guys think, has PD modelled different track grip levels?

30,000 A-Spec points up due to using the Clio Phase 2 in the NA Sports cup. Damn hard! I played dirty I'm afraid.

hey guys, i just got gt4 ( yes i know i am slow) but i was a little uncertain as to whether to get a true driving game. however, what evetually got me to buy it was the abundant cars you could drive in the game. however, as i got it was kinda disappointed in the end when in arcade mode there were only 200+ cars available... and that a few of the cars i was hoping to drive were missing.. e.g. m3 csl and the s15 silvia's from nissan. i notice the latter are availabe from the used car section in gt mode.. but as am new at the game.. its taking me a while to get through it. is there anyway to unlock the cars for arcade mode or is the game jus such that not all the cars are available.?

As you buy a car in GT mode you can get it in arcade mode. So buy the M3 and the S15 in GT mode then go to arcade and it will be there.

i want to get a online gt4... but i dont know if i should get it, i want some opinions if you people like doing it online and if i should get it.. let me know thanks

Ok guys I need a bit of help.

Is the car here the Ford GT in Gulf Oil livery? I'd like to get a confirmation before I do the race.
