To clarify, in GT mode, selecting "Race Preview" will show you the HP of the sixth place car right before the replay starts. Do this many times and eventually every eligible AI car will have started sixth in the preview and you will have HP numbers for all of them. It's probably easier to just look at what others have already found out though - it's a bit annoying to spend the time and game days.

I did the race where you get the mercedes clk race car but when i tried again it doesnt clear the race records so i cant win the car again

This is a pretty standard thing.

When you mean race, I assume you don't mean the championship. If this is the case then this is your problem.

You must compete in and win the Championship to re-win the bonus car. When you enter the championship it will ask do you want to clear records. You select yes.

Then after winning the first four races, you can skip the last race and still win the championship.

Does anyone know where to find the old WRS Master Save for GT4, with all the cars and 100%?

Need some help. New to GT4. I've realized that I'd entered some of the beginner and professional events as single races rather than a series. For instance, the Clubman Race in the Professional Events has my gold trophies in circles. I want to go back and enter as a series but it when I enter the first race at Apricot Hill, it just seems to enter me into a single race again. How can I re-enter the race as a series?

I've bought all cars on one of my saves via trade, but they don't show up in Arcade Mode, which is why I bought them. Does anyone know why this is or whether there is a way to unlock them?

Cars bought via trade dont unlock themselves in arcade mode.

Is there any specific reason why in the Formula GT Championship, the orange or green/yellow car always finish ahead of the other FGTs? The red FGT and the yellow one always seems to be lacking in last too

Not all the AI is programmed to drive at the same pace, to assure the cars don't bunch up together. It's probably a coincidence that it's always the same two cars in front when you watch.

I've got a broken GT4, I made the mistake a few years ago of putting it into a CD drive thinking that DVD drive games would work on it (you can put GT4 into a DVD drive) and ever since I've been doomed with the no-music-in-race menu glitch/the red circle-if-I-press-an-option-while-the-music-is-not-playing glitch.

Hey all, I'm new here and I just wanted to ask a question.

i have just bought the black nissan r92cp and tuned it as much as possible but it has less power than the other (fully tuned) r92cp that i won from the fuji 1000. does a car gradually lose power the more you drive it. (both cars have had an oil change) any help would be appreciated

Yes. I ran a study on power loss and engine wear which showed that a high mileage car will have an unrecoverable 5% power loss over a new car. There is also another 5% power loss due to dirty oil that can be recovered, and a third 5% (short term) power boost for a freshly serviced car.

Some of the Honda road cars of the early 1960s (e.g. the S500, S600, Z-Act) come with very strange default gearing: 1st and 2nd gear are ridiculously long. You hardly use 3rd gear, and never use 4th. Does anyone know if these are correct?

By contrast, the S800 has what I would consider normal gearing.

Yes, it looks like they are correct.

After much Googling, I found the real gear ratios for the S600. I set the car up with those ratios and the results were very similar to those obtained using the default gearing.

I suppose I should never have doubted.

I have a question. Can someone tell me how to get the Nissan skyline Tokyo concept car.
Answer much appreciated:)

Come on evul9, make a little effort, you're not a baby and we shouldn't have to spoonfeed you.
As I said to you in the reply to the PM:

Look in the FAQ section, you can't miss it, it's stickied at the top of the GT4 board, like this thread is and is marked with a nice big, bold, blue "Read This!" tag.

LOOK HERE BEFORE YOU ASK – Many FAQs

Inside there is this thread:

Prizecar List (NA)

I think you can figure it out from there, but you're basically going to have to earn that car by improving your driving. ;)

I've been driving the Chapperal 2J Racecar around lately and have noticed that it really flies high into the air off of bumps (extremely high- I was messing around, and at one point at Nurburgring it flies about 12 feet off of the ground. No other racecars, or cars in general, are capable of flying this high. Did Polyphony Digital use a different downforce model for the Chapperal (as would be fitting in real life)? From driving it several hundred miles, the low-speed downforce is superior to that of a regular race car, but it doesn't seem to have as much lateral grip.

Well, I'll explain that to you...

The Chaparral 2J was revolutionary in its time, and now still.
You must have noticed the two big fans at the rear of the car.
Well they have a purpose...
The Chaparral 2J creates a vacuum under its body, because those radiators suck air away from under the car...
That way it has downforce not only when it drives at high speeds, but also when it drives around slow corners.

So yeah, PD has changed the downforcemodel for that particular car.
Though I reallydon't know why it flies so high...
Maybe a tiny bug.... :(

Maas

Just a quick question if anyone knows the answer offhand: In how many languages is GT4 available? And which ones? I'm just curious, since I often see screenshots from the game by people who are living in non-English-speaking countries, and are not native speakers themselves, that show that their copy is in English. Does PD only make the game in English, Japanese, and French, or is it just a product of the language used on this site that I've never seen a language other than those three?
