I got some questions..already created a thread about it, but after several hours it still isn't posted....so i'll ask here.

I'm an european so i don't have the game over here yet.

I just watched IGN and Gamespot's videoreview...and i don't get this, the footage shown in the IGN video review looks ALOT less-beautiful than the GS videoreview,the track that they show in the IGN video looks dull and rather plain and low detail, but practically everything i see in GS's video stuns me completely...weird.

I just need to know this, will the PAL version also support Progressive Scan? so that would be 480p, i really really really hope so...cause it'll look amazing on my projector then.

And LAN...i'm gonna be playing this game with my bro alot, he got his own PS2 and game and me too. Playing via LAN, will there also be opponents? (cause i definitely do expect that)

And i can't help it but to add this...in the IGN review the guy says the game could've used that something 'new' ,after 4 years in development you'd expect alittle more than a highly tuned up GT3, or as the IGN guy said, "the better GT3" or something like that.

But i can only agree with that...after so many delays..an online mode that is scrapped out of it
, just a 'better' GT3?

Ok, my point was that they had ****ty information. I mean, yeah, I can fogive them not having it right away, but they must have a horrible logistics staff if they don't even know when they are gonna get it, and give out 6 different times in 36 hours. Additionally, I called them today, and was told "We don't have it yet, we'll have it tomorrow." I then asked if they had MVP Baseball 2005 (one of my roommates wanted to know) and the person didn't know, and transferred me to someone who might. That dude answered and said "Yeah, we have MVP." On a whim I queried as to when he expected GT4 to arrive, to which he replied "Oh, I have a few copies left." So I went over their to pick it and got one of 4 that they had left. Out of curiosity I asked when they got them in, he answered "Yesterday afternoon".


Oh, I don't have a Locost 7, but I would really love to have one, but don't have the time or cash to try to build one.
 
How many different series of touring car racing are in GT4? I know there's JGTC and the European cars, but what about the Australian V8s (Holden Commodore vs Ford Falcon) and any American series?

hmm i didnt notice but then ive never gone flat out at midfield. i noticed laguna seca seems shorter or my driving has improved

I noticed that too! That is not a bad thing but I pound around midfield day in day out and believe me I tried so many different cars and changed the setup too. I'm slower there now. BuT GOT TO wait for some times to be posted. As far as you know whats the best car to tune to start winning races?
 
This is so frustrating! It seems everyone has gt4 but me! Why must they delay the release dates so many times?

Is it possible to qualify before a race in GT4? I cant seem to find a way and it'd be a big help.

Who knows? Not me. Although i never found a use for it on gt3. If i had to bet on it i'd say no, but that is just a random guess, although if it is available it should be easy to find.
 
I haven't been able to qualify. On the "rolling start" races it'd help a HECK of a lot.

I'm 99% sure that there's no more qualifying laps.

Im new to this site, but not to the GT series, Iv owned 1-3 and now 4... I love it :dopey: but I have one problem! I was looking forward to getting the Plymoth Superbird, but when I got the game I couldnt buy it, so I continued to play the game figuring that I could win it later on. Well, I finally won the car, but it was in S**T BROWN :mad: .... it has to be the FUGLIEST color iv ever seen!!!! now I dont know what to do? do I need to go as far as to starting the game on another memory card and just buy/ trade it? or is there a simpler way? Any help appreciated!

I don't know how that car is won, but if it's a prize for a series of races, you can clear that series trophies and re-win the car in a different color.

It's simple, re-win the event that you won it in, unlike GT3 you can now clear the trophy's in an event to allow you to re-win it and re-win the prize car too.

No theres 3 theres 90's A and 90's B lot's and then the old timers lot.

OK, I've only had the game two days now, and have only played a couple of hours, but I think it definitely looks much better than GT4. I did notice a couple of times that the scenery would look a little fuzzy, but who really cares about that, you should be watching the road!

It feels much different and better than GT3 to me. All the interfaces are new, and there are so many liscense tests and races and events... the game just goes on and on. So far I have 7 golds, 4 silvers, 0 bronze, and I have won the clubman cup, and I am 0.8% done. 8/10ths of a percent. This is a big game. It is glorious.
 
The car lists seem to bias away from the UK. Ford is a good example, we have US, Aus, and German Fords, where are the Brits, those Rally cars are mostly manufactured in the UK. Most Rally cars of any Brand are UK, Subaru Impreza is 80% UK made, same goes for the Evo rally car, note the UK plates on the real cars.
I see that Mini is under Germany in the NA version, German owned , but made in Cowley.
