For me (NA), closest they got is the IS200, IS300 wagon, and some LM Altezza, or something like that. I'm not sure what the exact names are, but I'm sure someone will correct me. No stock Altezza though, or IS300.

Question : Is there any Toyota Altezza (new or old) in NA version?

In the NA version, the altezza is known as the Lexus IS300. If you beat the one make race for it (under toyota) you can get the awesome altezza race car.

okay this is a bit of a funny question i like the gt4 intro and was asking myself what is the name of the first bit of music that gets played

you know the clasical one

any idea
It's one of many versions of Moon over the Castle by Masahiro Andoh, the original version starts with a piano theres a kind of techno one also in GT4 and then the one from the intro with the classical bit at the start.

Luxury Cars like the 745i '04, the 750iL '01, the S430 '00, and the SL65 AMG '04.
ONLINE! WHY, GOD, WHY? (Even though I don't have an online thingy, just a horizontal PS2 with a Dualshock2 on a 30 inch TV.)

Why are you naming luxury cars?
And if you're complaining that they aren't in, the SL65 is.

What do the points you win need for? What's the difference of B-spec and A-spec?

Nothing really. The more A-spec points, the better the driver YOU are and the more B-spec points, the more lazy you are. :D A-spec's like reputation really to other people who play the game.

The only difference with more B-spec points in explained in the thread in my previous post.

Im upto the last 4 races on special conditions, im stuck on the grand canyon 5 lap race against the mitz evo rally car special, the closest I get is with the ford escort rally car but still get beat, any one has some tips on car and settings for this race would be fab cheers!

I've always been a fan of the Peugoet 206, though I had to use a stage 4 turbo and nitrous to beat this crazy track. I've heard some people swear by the Dodge Ram for special conditions, maybe worth a try.

the dodge ram is good for 200 a-spec points but that's about it, handles like a pig with only one leg. although I'm sure it could be fixed with some fiddling with the settings.

but yes its one way to complete the special conditions.

Does anybody know how long you should leave your PS2 on for whilst not using it. Because I am currently doing the Le Mans 24h and plan to leave it on for about a week. Does anyone know if that is too much or alright or what?

Nope the best car was the Mitzy GTO MR from GT1, 980bhp, 4wd, sounded awsome fast as hell and handled great when set up right. The same car is no where near the same in GT3 or GT4

If you have the newer PStwo, DONT DO IT. If you have the older one, i still wouldnt do it, but one of my friends did that before and had no problem. However, i still suggest you not do it. Just Bspec it, and do 3 hours of the race on your own time if the Aspec part of it bothers you... hope that helped

Hey Bazlad,

I tried all the 80's cars to do it (Renault; Pug; RS200) and they all disappointed. Awesome power, but try and take a corner...

Anyway, i got pretty fed up with it, so I put a stage 4 turbo and dirt tyres on the 2001 WRX prototype rally car. I think I won it from one of the Subaru races. Depending on the track, try raising and lowering the gearing to get some more straight line oomph; but i had my gearing standard and it was a dream.

Good luck mate, keep at it.

Quick Q to everybody: Has anyone actually raced a Ford, FPV or Holden in any of the races? I haven't competed against one yet. As an Aussie, i was pretty stoked to find out they were in the game - until I tried one.

You can't do that, you can transfer 100k from your GT3 save once and only once.

I dunno... for rallys I'm kinda partial to a '99 wrx. Settings are important with this car.

ALL RACING PURISTS: CLOSE YOUR EYES FOR THIS!!!! SPOILER ALERT!

(Learning how to tail slide the walls is key. If your car hits a barrier in the rear quarter panel, you don't suffer the 5 sec penalty. More importantly, when you learn how to slide BEFORE you hit a barrier, you can actually go further into a corner FASTER than your opponent and pass them! It took some practice on Grand Canyon, but once I learned this trick, I could kick his ass every time).

P.S. Please tell the racing purists they can open their eyes now.

does anybody know which tyres the AI uses? always S2 on roadcars maybe?!

i tried to do some races with road tyres but especially with older cars and N1 tyres i could not even win a 5 point race...

I think they use either sport tires or racing hard tires.

I've searched for this but havent found much to satisfy me. I didnt want to start a new thread about it when I could just post here. My question is about endurance races. Do you have to run the whole thing in one sitting or can you save when you pit in and pick up where you left off at when you play again?

Excuse me but this isnt the place for that. Besides the reason the mods do that is to keep pointless & redundant threads from poping up. The moderators arent snobs. They are infact great people.

SNOBS!!! I started a thread entitled "30k Tsukuba Challenge" And they decided to put it in an online racing forum when it has nothing to do with online, yet they decide to put the 1/4 mile competition on the main general discussion. What gives?
