Actually, the bad thing about the Cobra today is that ones you see that are blue w/ white stripes are sometimes replicas.

By AC are guys refering to the 289s or the newer AC cobras

AC cobras were originally british roadsters using a six cylinder bristol engine. Pretty unimpressive before Carroll Shelby decided to tinker with them.

It started out with a 260 HiPo small block, and ended up a 427 powered, coil spring suspended, tube-framed monster.

Another car I haven't seen on the list that I would love to see is the Sunbeam Tiger.

pretty much always the case these days. the originals are too rare.

companies like superformance make great replica kit cars. One of my customers has one with a 427 crate motor (along with a harley V-rod with a custom paint job :) ) sitting in his garage.

Actually the story is kind of wrong. The car that Shelby originally made the Cobra from was indeed an AC, but it was not called the Cobra. It was actually, I believe, the AC Ace which had an Inline-6, which Shelby bought and brought to America.

After AC eventually went out of business they came back as a kit car maker, making Shelby Cobra replicas, called the AC Cobra, which they still make to this day.

yes you're right. the AC wasn't called a cobra, he made that name up himself. Said it came to him in his sleep.

He also didn't buy AC (initially, I don't know if he did afterwards), they had a mutual arrangement because AC had lost their source for Bristol engines and were looking for a replacement. They were pretty unspectacular cars in their own right. Pete Brock changed that.

It’s time…

Does that mean the car is selectable, or merely that they have the model for it in the game?

And which demo is this?

And which demo is this?

It is the recent GT4 pre-taster demo that has been designed for press and the Japanese market. It includes 3 tracks and a sample of the photo mode. Only five cars are selectable in the demo, and although the Penzoil-Zexel and the Mobil 1 are AI cars, it is becoming clear that the GTC JGTC cars will be included. 👍

If you remain uncertain, why not list them with an appropriate disclaimer.

Many thanks to Adban for these inclusions:

Wow, that web page, if real is the holy grail of car lists. Its also way heavier torwards Japanese cars than I expected with the cars they were showing. But no complaint. The new GTO is shown, that'd be cool.

It came out of a Japanese PS2 magazine that also included the demo, so I would say its true. Its not complete though.

They really need to put some SAABs in there or some more in the less common manufactures. Im tired of seeing Honda this, Mazda that, Nissan this, Toyota that.

Though I am pretty excited to see that there are plenty of Audis in the list. 👍

!!!!!!!! Don't get too carried away!! :yuck: :yuck:
Will try ;)

This is just wonderful news, the fans (including me) have been asking for the SLR for a long time. Looks like Santa Kazunori brought Christmas early this year :).

i heard on the internet that the cars inm GT3 only had 4000 polygons per car, the ones in Gt4 supposedly have 14000 polygons per cars, anyoneelse hear this???????

Polygons are points that make up surfaces (models) of the cars. The more Polygons, the smoother a curve you can make, as you only get flat surfaces from point to point.
But the problem is, more polygons, means more power needed from the video source. The video source has to draw these polygons and the surfaces.

Hope that makes it clear.
