I didn't hear 14000 polygons, i heard 8000 from somewhere, but hey, the more the merrier. Although i begin to wonder how effective that is with TV resolution capped at 762x576 or something like that. Surely so many polygons could only be enjoyed at higher resolutions on a pc...

List updated, however disregard the numbers next to each manufacturer and at the bottom for the moment since they are not correct.

Seeing as how I only got online about 3 hours ago (it IS Thanksgiving afterall), some people might learn patience in that A) I may not be online and B) it takes time to go through all 600 cars on that list and to update them on my list.

Totals completed: Just short of 600 confirmed cars, and around 750 unconfirmed cars.

I also removed Porsche finally.

TOYOTA (63 - 1 - 1)
2000GT ('67)
7 ('70)
88C-V (Minolta LeMans '89)
Altezza
Altezza Gita AS300 ('02)
Altezza Touring Car ('01)

The Toyota 88CV did not race at Le mans in 1989. There were three 89CVs and one 88C. My guess is that we will get the Minolta 88C from Le mans as well as the 88CV from the all Japan proto championship. This view is supported by the reporting of the 88C in the JGTC article, and thus the 88C should remain on the list albeit in green. Matt, do you have knowledge of the 88-CV racing in 1989 Japanese proto championship?

I forgot to remove the LeMans part when I added the -V.

I'm still thinking the JGTC article may have been slightly incorrect in calling it the 88C instead of the 88C-V.

Maybe someone should check that video where we saw the R92CP and see if the Minolta car is the 88C or 88C-V?

I was thinking along similar lines, however I have found the JGTC website to be consistently precise in itÂ’s articles and reporting.
If PD is including both R90CP and R92CP, it stands to reason that both the 88C and the 88C-V will make an appearance.

Checking that video again, I'm fairly positive that the car is in fact an 88C-V that is briefly seen. The main reason is the shape of the headlights but also the lack of the huge intakes on the side of the car.

I certainly agree that the car in the vid is the CV. The 88C does not have that much light blue paint on the front of the car.

As an aside, you have recently added Calsonic sponsorship to the R92 CP. It may be worth updating the R90CP with YHP sponsorship as per this post:

Looking at the video though it appears that the white paint for the sponser extends into the ducts on the, which it did on the Calsonic car.

Yes, the #1 R92CP is Calsonic, and the #24 R90CP tested has YHP sponsorship.
Edit: pleased to see the removal of the Porsches and the listing of the older JGTC cars.

The359
I think I'll just leave it sponserless until we get a better shot.
The shot I used to identify the R90CP clearly showed it with the number 24 and YHP sponsorship. (Taken from Pal prologue ending movie.) It is of course of note that I identified the specifics of R92CP Calsonic #1 from the same footage before the recent media of the car.

Well, since it's on the list, and this is a discussion of on-the-list cars..

What the hell is a Delorean S2? I've been able to find exactly zero information on it via Google. In fact, the only information I did find leads to believe it's a typo, a mistake by whoever made the list.

The only S2 I found in relation to Delorean was the Lotus Esprit S2, made in 1981. Not really coincidence, since Lotus was involved in the design and production of the Delorean DMC-12 (hence it's at-a-glance similarity to the Esprit). In fact, they made both the S2 and the DMC-12 at the same time.

BUT, the one thing against the "typo theory" is the listing of it as a 2004 model year. Which is even more confusing, since Delorean hasn't manufactured a single car since 1983, and the DMC company doesn't really exist anymore, at least not as a manufacturer.

Any ideas, theories? Is it really the DMC-12, or something new?

Well that horrific car is the DMC DeLorean S2 which is the car from "Back to the Future" weird and ugly car, but hope it howls ass or something atleast because for sure atleast to me it doesn't got the looks. Anyways is that the actual 04' model because that car looks super old, and besides I've seen other pics of a DMC in another thread possibly the 04' model I would suggest.

I don't believe it is an issue of beauty as much as it is of an impression. Take for example all the BMW designs by Chris Bangle. Very few people will call them beautiful right away, but they grow on you eventually. Well, usually, at least. Personally, I find that DeLorean an impressive car.

Unless, the DMN DeLorean S@ is the same as the DeLorean DMC-12, then its not the car from "Back To The Future."

there will be formula cars, for sure.

Since they have made the Formula version from Fuji 2005,i can't wait for them.

Maybe even a historic race for old F1 cars :dopey:

Will there be any cars that have 2-stroke engine? The sound of 2-stroke CAR engine is very "nice"
The pretty old ones will have 2 stroke engines I think. The sound is nice, but can very much vary for each car. From a low grunt to a high pitched sound. Depends on the airfilter setup and such.
