That Auto save option doesnt worry me the slightest.

What I do want to know (this has been asked but not confirmed) can you switch between A-spec and B-spec in races??
 
Autosave does not worry me either. Usually no problems with credit, after you you have played a bit. I actually wish the credits was a bit harder to earn. Would actally be fun.

I always find the struggle in the start where you need to build a fast car that i capable to win more than sunday cup the most rewarding part.
 
The autosave doesn't sound any different to my Japanese version (I only briefly turned the feature off).

In the Japanese version I have actually inserted a memory card with no save and created one at the point I was up to. I then reset and reloaded with my original save. I know once I created a new save, but managed to have an empty garage. I presume these "features" are available on the PAL version.

Thanks for the new pics Amar, you should update your first post about these pictures. They will be impossible to find once the thread is 52 pages long! :)

What version is your PS2? Is it modified? If so, what chip? The reason I'm curious is reports mentioning DVD9 playback trouble on older, pre V4 machines.

Amar, thanks for all the info, I'm not to happy with that save-thing and the lack of a single-screen 2P-replay but we'll live with it. Have you noticed any change in the physics or do the cars handle different compared to the earlier version? Are the races in arcademode difficult or hard enough?
 
Where from you can get Audi Pikes Peak and Nuvolari? Other "bonus cars" you can buy but since there is no more races have those two cars replace something or are there cars that are avaible to buy now that weren't avaible in Asian version?

How does that Jaguar (or Peugeot or Auto union) sound like??? I would like to know.

Jaguar sounds like pure evil.

As for Pug or AutoUnion, I'd like to know too:). Long time to reach them I guess.

Have no real time to play the game, I hope I'll make some progress today.

You can't even remove the memory card while playing. Reason: the game needs phuckin memory card for every single action.

Whoa, they're taking this 'realism' bit a bit too far, eh?

Quite disturbing that there is so much reliance on the memory card, seems like plenty of potential for bugs to me...

That said, I'm sure it won't interfere too much with my enjoyment of the game (when I get it :indiff:

Why not have the Pug appear as an AI opponent, then watch the 905 replay from the cockpit view? Mmm, 10 cylinder delight.
 
amar,this is very important to me:

is the game harder than Japanese version? does AI drive more agressively, are times for golds on licence tests lower?
 
Hey man good question indeed: What about the AI, have they been improved since the Japanese version, e.a. are they smarter. I think nit, but you can always ask i guess
 
Does anyone know if there are any changes made to the pal game in each country in Europe? I.e. in the UK we have vauxhall, but rest of europe, opel. Surely this change is made by sony uk?

Hey Samberto, you're one very persistent guy. I'd tried yesterday to get it - used Lister because it is most powerfull car qavailable in arcade wih my status - have set opponents to 10, but the best I've manage to get is McLaren F1.

As Jag and Pug has like +700HP, I have to get stronger car to get them as opponents.

Patience.

Oh yeah - for Cobra and othres intrested - no front spoilers, another SCEE's press-release incosistent info. Rear are in.

Also notice that "manufactorers wheels" are called "used whell section".

Impatience? I see it more as encouragement. :)
Anyway, I’m pleased to hear that you have attempted it. Incidentally if you wish to accrue money quickly, four laps of the second event in special condition hall will earn you around 270,000 once you sell off the RSC.

Oh, and it may be worth checking the PD driving/racing demos in the replay theatre when you have time. They may well have some with the Pal exclusive vehicles.

That Jag looks wonderful, thanks. Am I right in thinking that the XJR9 is available straight away in arcade?
Also does the AC still sound different to the Shelby?
 
AMAR212 I have one question for you, do we still get no credits for selling a license bonus car? Or, has that been changed? I'm hoping we can at least sell the gold cars for some credits. I understand we can't earn them again, but we can always buy one from the dealer when we have more money, correct?

I know for RSC, did it in Asian. And Jag has came from demo theatre, respectfuly :). And no, no other new moels represented in demo theatre. And yes, I'll upload the new pics and specs as soon as I lay my hands on the new cars, this way or another.

Patience, I know what to do, I just have to have a little bit more time. Guess the main updates can be expected in next few days, as the situation is settling down at my work.
 
Amar212... did they do anything about the Audi RS6, Mercedes SL600 etc. gearboxes? Do they now shift like an automatic like on the SL55 and few others??

Amar, in terms of the Mercedes Mclaren SLR, does it still have the standard boring 18inch wheel design or has the PAL version SLR got the more attractive 19inch turbine design which most of the SLR have in the real world?

Boring 18" :(. And yes, I'd prefer that beautiful turbine-design wheels too, but it seems they're not available even in manufactorers/used wheels shop. Having them on black SLR would be a thing to moarn about.

However, they are not standard equipment (as I recall, set of them costs about 7, 000 euro - like a whole new Dahiatsu), so I guess that is the reason whay they are not in.

As far as the autosave thingy goes I don't like it either but I doubt I will regard it as a big problem. As other have described I don't buy cars to try them out either.. However I have been surprised by the lousy performance of some cars I bought and wished I hadn't.. For instance when a friend of mine and me started GT3 waaaay back (we were completely new to it) we (for some reson) bought that Chrysler PT Crusier.. It was the worst car ever. Wouldn't upgrade at all and was as powerful as a lawnmower.. Terrible. So bad in fact that we immediataly restarted the entire game.. Other than that I don't think I would miss not having autosave.. (long story I know - got carried away) :)

By the way, that Jaguar is fantastic! Jags have always been one of my favourite cars.. Too bad none in GT3 were really competitive.. 👎
