well it depends on your driving skill. a lot of people cant drive the fully upgraded skyline, supra, viper and many other cars, but they are a few of my favorite to throw around a track. its all on preference though. i think the price drops a certain constant rate to keep it easy.

But Amar you can try any buyable car right way in Arcade mode. Then everything you win is unlocked in arcade mode. Basically if you want to try a car just use arcade mode.

Not every buyable car is in the arcade mode, infact the cars are unlocked in arcade mode by buying them in the Simulation mode. Although then you've got the initial 200 whatever cars that are initially unlocked.

A lack of a shared replay for a 2p game is one and only but very serious bummer...

Hey Amar, first of all thanks for the info. My question, I hope I understood you alright. You can try out cars in the game if you have 2 MCs no? You make one backup before you begin, take it out. Start the game again with other MC, Try out what you want to try out. Don't like progress? Take backup. Make copy of backup before starting over. Like some progress? Take backup, make progress, make backup before doing anything else. Right?
To be on the safe side it might be wise to always make a backup when changing MC's.

EDIT: you'll have to reset PS2 to load backup.

Oh this has me so annoyed, I loved being able to buy a car just to muck around with it without being out of pocket. Yes I only really did this once I had finisihed the game but still its something that takes away the human aspect if you ask me because being able to just sample a car is great.

Frankly, the Autosave feature won't bother me since I like to collect and race every car. *shrugs* If you buy the wrong car, sell it and race a bit more to gain the money to buy the right one.

Well I can see why some people are bothered about it saving whenever you buy/sell a car but this doesn't greatly bother me especially when even if you sell a car its unlocked in arcade mode. Besides atleast we've got 2 player garages! (Although it should never have been taken out in the first place)

As someone said, it should be fairly easy to make the cash back again. Although autosave corrupting a savegame is a worry, presumably aslong as you don't turn it off just at the end of a race, car purchase etc... it should be safe or going to the main menu or something.

Perhaps it will be different in the final release, as if amar212 has a 'early' press release there may be some slight changes & bug fixes for the final release.

sucks the japanese version u can but in the Pal u can't...... hopefully we get the best of both worlds... Chrysler 300C and AutoSave feature ON/OFF... 👍

I sure hope this isn't breaching protocol or site policy but a friend of mine just asked me a question. Apparently he found a torrent for what appears to be the PAL version of GT4. The size isn't close at all but the timing sounds about right. Here's the info:
