you just don´t understand, cosmic, i mean the prize car list for the PAL (P-A-L) version of GT4, which isn´t even out but AMAR has that game cause of GOOD CONNECTIONS it hink so that´s why i´ve asked for the prize car list OF THE PRIZE CARS FROM THE LICENSE TESTS!!!
.
..i think they´re a bit different from the Japanese version so that´s why i´m so interested, k?
so please amar(i know you´re busy playing) tell us about prize cars at A license, B license and ...!

Silly question but is it still 1 day gone in the game every race/licence test you do? I'd like to save up enough enough money to buy the special black racing cars on day 700 and something. I'm sure they're still in the PAL version are they?

I'm guessing it's how it's always been: Each license test takes one day, no matter how much you retry it.

Drivin schools in real life also have one lesson for you at a day, so its realistic(lucckily it are game days)

And if you haven't got the money(PS: its a day in the 9 hundreds so i belive 974), just wait another useed cars rotation!

Cleared all golds on DB, and prize cars are the same so far - Kusabi, Lupo and Toyota '63.

Have 2 more golds to clear in DA, then moving to IA-B. List will be updated, do not worry.

No cars for GTP save, no trophies - licence is jusst PASSED. For trophies (and cars) you must drive the licences.

As I will get Nike car soon, I'l be able to tell has the Nike made it's way in the Halls.

GT-one amar has the game not some dev copy, hes not far so how would anyone know the prize car list already. I do wonder how some of the new locked cars are unlocked, did they add races But we wont know for a few weeks. At least for north america

Maybe because he does not want to! It is his game remember and he may not want to cheat but to play the game properly, which takes time. Im sure as soon as he finds out new stuff he will inform us, until then i am sure he is having as much fun as we will have when our GT4 version is released!

I thought the cars only appera ONCE, no matter how many rotations happen. Thats why I asked.

I skipped the last 3 pages, so maybe this was already mentioned...

but did anyone stop and consider that maybe PD was actually being SMART when they did the autosave thing, by turning a portion of your memory card into the PS2 equivelent of virtual RAM?

PS2 has enough main memory to cope with a GT4 game save. Access to the memory card is a lot slower than access to main memory

Why would he have to spoil the game for himself? What's the fun in knowing everything in just a couple of seconds?

I'm happy he's going slow on updates, then there are still some surprises when the game comes out. It's exciting this way.

Be patient. You'll have already waited more then 2 years for the game. A couple of days wouldn't be so hard, would it? Anyway, keep up the good work amar212 :)

Hello Amar212,

Have a simple question (was unable to find a clear answer on the forums, but it may be my fault) : when you mean a GT3 save allows you to start with 100 000 credits, is it a 100% save (game completed) or just a saved file with GT3 ?

If anybody else has a clear answer....

Thanks in advance
Same question from me. I had completed the game, but my little boy deleted :ill: I'm back up to 86%, will I get the full 100,000?

If this already been answered, excuse me. But what about the new PAL-cars that doesn't cost anything (---). There must be a couple of new events to unlocks these, right?

OK, after finally reaching the end of this thread, nobody has asked about this yet...

Can you explain the "Course registration" screen? I see some tracks as available for two players or not, but in the japanese version, no matter what I do on this screen, the two player tracks available are always the same ones. Is the course registration only for LAN? There is some scrolling text at the bottom in the Japanese version, and I see "LAN" in there, but obviously I can't read the rest. I'm really curious whether or not some of the tracks that cannot be played in two player will be able to be played over LAN, and this screen seems to be the key to finding that answer.

(I realize you don't have the LAN adaptor, but if you could go this screen and tell me more about it or check the manual to see what it says, that would be great.)

I'm still trying to figure out this whole Autosave thing...

So with Autosave ON... it saves after licenses, buying/selling/changing cars..

And with Autosave OFF... it saves after license, buying/selling/changing cars...

So what's the difference? Is the on/off switch just there for looks, or what? If it saves after you change cars, I'm assuming it would also save any time you made tuning adjustments or won a race.. whether it's turned on or off. What gives?

If I'm wrong, please correct me

but I interpreted it like this:
With autosave ON, the game saves after pretty much every move you make.

With autosave OFF, the game does not save, but you are prompted to load your memory from your card every time you need to go into your car or race. Therefor, you need the car you just bought to be saved on your memory card, but this will leave a dent in your GT budget. So either way, you have to save the game.

Like you Jedi I am rather confused by this whole auto save feature, even though amar explained it I still don't fully understand it. :ill:
Oh well maybe someone can explain who is 100% sure what they are talking about?

I think it's more with autosave on, the game saves after races, after each license test, when youve bought the car ect. With autosave off, it saves when your in the garage, you don't have to save when you buy a car but the game saves when you do something in the garage.

The black cars come for the last week of the used car cycle (Japanese version at least) which is day 694 to 700 and will occur every 700 days as the whole lot selection is repeated. I don't see this changing for the PAL vesion unless some new cars are there.

37% complete GT3 save will do.
I tested this with my other GT3 save, which I played in german to get Opels in my garage. I think that about any GT3 save will do the trick.

Fast start is to buy HPA-tuned Golf. :)

EDIT: And yes, you can get first two license tests passed with GT4:Prologue save, but you still have to drive them to get medals and prize cars.

Thanks Oliver.
So that won't oblige me to try earning the 8% I missed in GT3 (was a bit lazy with endurance races). I think it's a good thing for all GT players who didn't manage to get 100%. Much respect to the guys who get 100%, I really found a few gold licenses impossible to earn.
As for me, I'll use the extra credits to start with a BMW M3 (the car I always dreamt to drive !).
