Anyone here know in which colors the Pagani Zonda is available?? Watch this video, they have a red one. :dopey: 👍 Hopefully we can buy it in GT4 with that color and not just silver?

hi fans,

My ps2 is model SCPH-3004 r.
Browser 1.20
CD-player 1.20
Playstation-driver 1.10
DVD player 2.10E

Is this an old model and will gt4 work on it?

just a quickie related to this post, i have a scph-30003 ps2, on my browser screen i can enter the ps driver and i can change the playstation driver disc speed to fast from normal and texture mapping from normal to smooth, when the ps2 is turned off and on again the next day it is back to normal? what is the point of having this in?????????

That's a cool Video, GT Prologue or Concept featured a blue Pagani, GT4 doesn't offer any but Silver so far, They may pop up later, After 600 cars so far I haven't seen a RED or Blue one, Only silver!

That option is only for PS1 games that let them run abit smoother than normal, dosn't affect PS2 games

I've got the same PS2 aswel and GTP ran on it so i would think GT4 would run on it aswel

Really? wondered what it was for, don't suppose anyone knows whether it improves either GT1 or 2?

Good job on the updates amar212 👍

Amar, could you please check if you win different cars for passing the finish line in A/B-spec mode on the endurance races?

I don't like the idea that PAL is even harder with license tests. I never got all gold in GT2 for any license except the A and B ones..... so I'm afraid I'll never be able to drive a Ford T model. :(

Sadly, there is no Endurance save - only option to change A-Spec into B. For all non-hardcore it is a sad one. Checked it on Nurb 24Hrs.

This is so lame. How hard could it have been to program a save on the long enduros? How much data would be needed? How big a file would it have to be? This just doesn't seem right at all.

Then again, from what I've been reading, the AI on the enduros is so pitiful, and your "competition" is so slow, we may all be giving up in disgust after building up an unbeatable lead after just a couple of hours. Maybe most of us won't even want to save it...

Oh no, is that the only way to be able to get the Model T? 👎

THe 24h endurances will probably the only ones in which I'll be using B-spec a lot.

That's a good point... they are probably trying to force us to use B-spec mode... little did they figure on the fact that there are some nutters here who will gladly rise to the challenge and do the whole 24 hr race in A-spec mode with a big smile on their faces... (I intend to atleast try :D) As for the AI issue, I've always thought that you have an element of control over that... you can always choose a car that will ensure you get a run for your money.... that said, I'm not sure that anyone will gamble by picking a car that might lose... imagine doing the 24 hr enduros and losing...!

edit: Zardoz.... cool name!... you're not in Kansas any more... ;)

I love to drive myself, but 24 hours is ridiculous. That endurance with 90 laps on Laguna Seca in GT2 was horrible already to me. It's cool once you finished it but when you're @ lap 75 I'm a person to be like... come on... still not there yet... sheeesh. After 30 laps on Laguna Seca I pretty much get tired of it already and then still 60 to go. Nurburgring could be more interesting I guess, but 24 hours is still awefully long.

Well, with the lack of a midrace save, B-Spec mode at least makes sense to me now (It finally has a purpose!). But it sounds like it could make for some interesting enduros. Start in the morning, switch to B-Spec mode and go to school, work, etc. Come home, play more, switch to B-Spec mode for dinner, homework, sleep, or whatever. Wake up, finish 24h enduro.

Sounds good to me! 👍

The AI driver better not suck though. I'll be pissed if I enter B-Spec with a massive lead, only to return to my PS2 a few hours later to see I've been lapped by the leader...

I'm not a fan of not being able to save during the endurance races myself. My biggest worry is that if the console crashes after 23 hours I'd feel a bit annoyed...

Since GT4 isn't an M$ product the chances of that happening are pretty low (hopefully), but you never know :(

Yeah I know what you mean. There's something about Laguna Seca that makes you just wanna fall alseep, it doesn't manage to keep me engaged for very long, maybe its the way the track is so dim like it sunset? I don't really know but whatever the case there is no way I am doing a 24hr endurance race, even if it is over the course of 4/5 days or whatever. I will probably do about 5 hours max and let B- Spec do the rest.

👍

Good point. For instance, a power failure in the 23rd hour of a 24h race would definitley suck big time.

you got me beat by 4Hours, My maximum for any race will be 1 Hour! Unless it's an Online Race!!!👍

Still strange that some members here said they read in a review of the PAL version that there is a possibility of saving mid game in endurance races. Those magazines are wrong then (again)? :/

Can't y'all see this fool is stringing us along? Where are all the shots of the new cars? (no, not in the garage). Dude wins the nuvolari, but no pics?! Someone's enjoying his time in the limelight. Attentionseekers Pfffff....

Hi guys,

First of all, the search option in the GT4 forum doesn't work right now so I don't know how many times this has been talked about..

What is up with the price difference between the US version and the PAL version? I just noticed it when I was looking at the US release date article. The US version is quoted at $49.9 while the PAL version (atleast the one we are getting) will cost a whopping $87.5 (= converted from € to $ with current rates).

I for one was totally prepared to shell out the cash to buy GT4 and probably wouldn't have cared about the high price at all, if only I didn't know about the U$ pice. Don't think this is a fair move!

No change from the usual really. In the UK, to convert from the price of a product in the US to that of the same product in the UK, you don't need a conversion factor. Just replace the dollar sign with a pound sign.

Well one things for sure, We bought more Japanese versions of GT4 than anyone else, Only second to the Japanese! I notice a lil something weird also when it comes to shipping from the UK Versus Hong Kong/Japan, It's always a lot cheaper when I pay for shipping from Japan and Much more when it's the UK! Hong Kong is further! I don't quite understand those shipping prices, Could it be that shipping to you guy's is more expensive than the US, If so it still should'nt be that much of a difference in price? Your right, It's not fair at all!

It's like that with anything. The iPod I bought I paid 330 euros for (about $400) and the price at the release date in the USA was $299..... pretty gay.
