Hmm .. Seems that I have the only Cruzer Mini that actually works .. strange.

When did you get yours? Maybe the age of the SanDisk Mini matters... 💡
I got mine about 3 months ago... is yours older?

Not working? Do we have anyone who can explain how to make a MaxDrive work? I may have to buy another USB Flash drive.....

I am thinking of buying the AR2 Evo edition and wondering if the USB drive is considered a Datel Max Drive stated as unsupported in the first page. Just thought I could kill two birds with one stone.

I've also got a Kodak Digtal Camera which has 16MB of onboard memory, could this work as a method to get images off GT4. BTW I haven't got the game on account of obvious reasons so I am simply preparing myself as I really love taking screenshots of cars in other games ie. Vice City so GT4's Photomode is right up my alley.

I'm just posting to confirm that I am successfully saving my images to a Sony MemoryStick using a Lexar Jumpdrive Trio (the unit also takes SD/MMC cards). It didn't seem to work at first, but after reading many comments about reformatting, I did it and it worked!

This has got to be the coolest feature ever!

I can't find out for sure, BUT.

All the spec sheets I've read list the PS2 as having a USB port, nothing more, so either 1.0 or 1.1 I guess.

Somebody that knows far more about tech stuff than I said that the new PS Two has USB 2.0 version ports, so that could be the reason for some of the memory sticks working on newer machines and not older ones!

USB 2.0 is backwards compatible so I don't think that difference in versions is the problem.

I just bought the Kingston Data Traveler Flash Drive 256MB on Compusa's website for $16.99. With rebates of course, one instant and one mail in. :)

Right now I have a maxdrive, but the ps2 doesn't even recognizi it. However, further up in this thread I read somewhere that all Olympus cams work. I have the C-740 ultra zoom, but everytime I try it, it gives me an error. How do I do it through my cam?

Ok .. this is like the 5th time I've explained formatting it:

Go to my computer and right click on the USB drive

Select format

Change the filesystem to FAT32

Make sure quick format is deselected

Press ok, format, start whatever the button is.

I've tried and ask around on PC forums, Maxdrive won't work unless the other guy can explain exactly what he did...

In the mean time i bought a 64MB Lexar Jumpdrive from Target for 10$, formatted it to FAT32 and works great.

2. Lexar Media 128 MB Memory Stick
3. Sony Playstation2 (SCPH-39001)

When I first tried to save it, it gave me the USB Mass Storage Device error. I was crushed, but then I gave it another try. Good thing I did because it worked!!! I guess it just needed to initialize the drive or something. But it created its own "GT4" folder on the car, separate from my digital camera photo's. And all I have to do is unplug the reader from the PS2 and plug it into my PC and transfer. Pictures look crisp and beautiful. Looks like my photomode problem is solved.

So chalk up another one of for the Flash Memory Card Readers.

Samples:

Lexar SD Card/MMC/Memory Stick - reader works. Just wanted to let everyone know in case someone has a SD card or something and needs a cheap way to transfer pics.

it's 20 at wal-mart

yea anti that one should work, just make sure it's formatted to FAT32..I saw the same one at Target but it was priced at 35$ so you're getting a good deal there
