GT4 Photomode 2.0 Advanced Week 37

This is one of the times I really wish my gt4 CD still worked, I could have contributed a little something to the competition.

Final Entry Update

Side blur is too easy to me and I wanted to mix it up a bit so this is my first attempt at zoom blur from an angle. Needs some clean-up but I think it will pass for a first attempt.

Just a suggestion

I would've gone with the '69 GT40... it adds a bit more to the sepia tone you used, me thinks. Nice experiment, by the by.

I agree, but I already had this shot, and the original colors were muddy and bland, so I had to go with an alternative and Sepia tone came out the best. I do agree with you though 👍!

Yeah GR, your shot looks pretty good for a first timer to the zoom blur. But I am about to send you a picture that will help you, like you asked.

And Matt, that looks great. Very realistic. 👍

I really like it GR, it has a different sense of speed with the zoom blur.

Also, I really like Syntax'. Something about the GTI means it almost always shoots well.

And Alpha has his signature blur, which looks just as good on four wheels as it does on two.

👍 to all of you!

(EDIT) Well, I decided I'd throw my entry up today, since I don't know if I'll get time to do another. I don't normally say this, but: this shot really benefits from a full-size view, the thumbnail really doesn't show the details.

Figured I'd give this a whirl... It's far from perfect, that's for sure.

Final Entry

Sej,ALPHA, syntax, plmatt,GR, Slip..Ohhh, i forgot the rest. Fantastic!

Ive got something a bit different coming this week. I wont even come close to pulling it off, cause im a sucker with blur. But ill give it a go 👍

Thanks for the comments guys... awsome shot by the way slip.. love the reflections.

Final Entry!

It didn't come out as i wished. Because im a real noob to Photoshop. And the colours are really bland with not enough contrast. PLUS, to get the right blur for wheels at this angle is killer. I tried.

Something I've been working on last night,, first time for blurring with photoshop and I wanted to create a blurring background and a sharp car,, I think it came out so-so for my first time:)
But there's only one thing bothering me a lot,, that's the white higlight line or how it's called,,
Here's what I did: I selected the car with polygonal lasso tool after adjusting levels and so on,, and then I right clicked and did layer via cut,, Selected background layer and blurred it,, and now you can see the selection lines around the car,, just don't know how to get them away,, very frustrating..
Any tips maybe,,
Oh and awesome entrys so far,, I know I'm not going to be picked:) for next round,, It's my first entry for a comp. and first time photoshopping blur so go easy on me:)

Make multiple layers of your original pic... say two... and blur those underlaying pics just slightly as well... that way they will be visible where the cut outline occurs... but they will be blured and the pic should look seamless... if you need a bit more of a hand with it.. pm me.. or check out 440's tutorial...

Recently I read some asian magazine when I had some viet noodle
I found Mitsubitshi actually made an production model of the concept car i
it looks pretty ugly IMO

anyhow great entry everybody
I can't wait to work on mine tomorrow

De@tthwi§ho0 > you may want to cut the background a bit closer to the car
using more layers for the blur part is very important as well
but for the last resort, use smudge tool to drag the blur closer to the car
or you can try to merge all layers at the end
then use blur tool with 0% hardness to blur the bad edges

kinda dirty trick and easy to mess up
make sure save a copy of your work for backup

Wow Slip, that is really nice! Really smooth, and the softness of it is just right.👍

And DRIFTIN, that is a very tough angle to do a motion blur on. It's very hard to get the road blur lines to follow the contour of the road in corespondance to the direction the car is moving. But it turned out pretty well. Looks good.👍

And I will hopefully have time to make an entry tomorrow, or maybe even this evening. If I don't get around to it I might submit my Skyline shot, but I like coming up with something new that has not been seen before.

I changed my final entry the last one didn't seem good enough, I've tried some clean up work my first time, any tips, hints, commments....... :)

That looks very good 725. Like Krame said, nice lighting, and contrast, and that blue looks nice.👍
