Jacoja's picture is suspect as far as the the photoshoping is concern, but if I'm wrong, superb pic:tup:

if the track is at night, if you set the aperture up to 1.0 you can get light pics and i bet hes just changed the White Balance so it appears more bluey :P

When you change the white balance towards "red" the reflections are emphasized.

yes but on a night track when you raise the aperture the reflections are emphasized

Final Entry:

Great photo and the larger preview really helped.

I would probably have overlooked the 2nd skyline in the background just looking at the thumbnail.

Did you change the colour curve? I doubt you can get that much lightning green on the nurb...

i messed with the saturation/hue/and contrast. is this allowed? it is one of my best pics.. lol

It says in the rules that brightness, contrast, adding text and cropping are the only modifications that can be made.

hey guys! did you like my photos? thats all i did today. photomode is so addicting! sometimes its more fun than racing. im so glad ive found this site. i read today on the forum that you can transfer your photos using a memory card ready. tried it and poof! it worked! AMAZING! i tried using my iPod before, the stupid thing didnt work at all. but it did charge me iPod which i thought is kinda cool.

Well, I'll comment on your final entry.

The idea is definitely good, but: Camera is too close and too low in relation to the car... and while trying to capture the buildings in the background, the pic got majorly skewed... car looks very unnatural.

Personally I like your other 2 pics much more :). It's all a matter of personal preference though, and I am in no way trying to influence your decision etc.

btw, welcome to gtp

Can i join this competition? Got my USB drive now, 512 MB to play, not much but enough. :D

I would love to join this one. Can i simply join or do i have to do something before??

I liked the first one. You did a good job of making the building look like it's towering over you. The biggest problem I saw was that its a busy picture and the focal point isnt really on the car anymore. Try resizing it to a smaller size. But good job overall!

I just got impressed what a cool camera angle I suddenly switched on in this picture, it really has a....creepy feel to it, please click it to full screen, then it's much more clear of what I'm talking about:tup:
Final Entry

Edit: Click here for full size, because sometimes the only thing you see is a very stretched version of it, not any height but very wide, well it might be a browser problem;) Click here please, just one click, and it might become a very nice picture, rather than a small thumbnail...

And notify me if a miracle happens and someone advices me to change one of these Honorable Mentions in my final entry.

did imageshack go down? or is my dial-up acting up (again)? i cant see any imageshack pics nor can i get into my account :|

Jmx.....how you got an entry like that i dont know! It always seems to be impossible to catch the car doing that for me, without a huge amount of blurring even at full shutter speed! So congratulations on a superb shot 👍

thanx hurn :)
Try driving the car at some lower speed and make then a photo. That's what I did and it worked out.

Honourable Mentions

I have had a lot of difficulty deciding between my final entry and my first honourable mention. Any comments or views will be welcome 👍

Teamspots was correct. 👍 The Picture taken was on the SSR5 track, on the Main Stretch (Where most of the reflections of buildings are). I adjusted the Lighting in the game, and gave it that bluey colour also. When I put it onto the computer, I adjusted the Contrast, and gave it extra light.

btw, Thanks for the comment 'hurngt' 👍

LMAO!!! Very funny. Thanks for the humor. 👍

I couldnt resist that one....

Here's the exact same camera angle, just zoomed out a tad.

I'm still deciding on my final entry... I took my prize R33 for a spin (literally :dunce: ) on another track and still cant choose the best view.

Going for something different , hopefully not done yet. Presenting Skylines in Skylines (except for the 2nd HM).

FINAL ENTRY

Honourable Mentions

Critisism Welcome

Great Images everyone :)
I was wondering...Are we allowed to remove the Watermarks from our photo's? If so, how? (Photoshop?)
