A couple things...

While I like the effect you've used on the title text but, honestly from a distance it looks like 'sOde'. You want the reader to be able to read the title so he can tell all his buddies about it after he reads it. It is the premier issue and all.

That is the cool thing about "logos", not all have to 100% readable.

Your original headline 'High plains' was much better. I would try to use that.

The red on the bottom article headlines is WAY too dark. You want it to stand out more so you catch the readers eye.

This is true, but much brighter really detracts from the main pic. Also, if you have to look closely to read something, you are more likely to remember it.

The car's angle, in this cover as well as the other, is very dynamic, but imagine it with a brightly colored, in-focus car and it would be a much more compelling image.

That color I can agree with. As for the crisp focus: That is REALLY hard to do in GT4 and maintain any wheel spin. If you stop the action to get a good - crisp image, you also kill all motion in the wheels.

Hope that wasnt too critical. Just trying to be honest.

Maybe I will play with the S2000 cover a bit. As it is, that is just the same cover as the other with a different BG and "Slide" moved upwards.

Agreed. The FTO is better ... and that is why I chose it ...

That looks good. I only see a couple things that need minor attention.

1) The title is a bit blurry. Was that a TTF that was rasterized and enlarged, or was it one that just started off smaller? I guess it just looks "blown up".

2) I also feel that the Formula D Drift is a bit small. I can see why you placed it were you did, but if you increase the BG to 114% of the original, you can blow up the Formula header the same amount. That way it will really stand out from the BG.

Other then those small things, I think the overall layout is great!

That look great Eastly. The S2000 kools kinda cartoony but I think that that is a result of the filtering you did on it. Nice job ...

Its only had a Smart Sharpen job on it (new feature in CS2 I believe)

I can change it back and see if it looks any better..

You need to work a bit on the coverlines, should have a lowercase 'of' in US OF A

The flim strip should be on a bit of an angle, possibly trailing off the cover.

and a few exclamation marks wouldn't go astray!!!

As for those exclamation marks well I speak English fine but when putting it on paper it's a different matter, so I am not sure where to exactly put them.

MUCH better! You might want to increase the opacity of Magazine just a tad ....
