So does this mean Japanese version and US version can play against each other?
MeMWe got it working, Heres my ghetto tutorial http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=53940#53940
lmc3it does NOT work. I think xlink Kai needs to be tweaked or something for US play. there are about 70-100 people all butting heads and a handful of people laughing pretending they are getting the game to work. The 2 main grief players are 2fast2furious and poolshark. Trying to trick us into thinking it works.
SvenDoes anyone know if the NTSC-U/C version can interface with the NTSC-J version?
MCXcool nickname suomy... (I like the Gobert replica the best)

Ya, I fell in luv with all their helmets I have Bostrom(Old model), and GF has Biaggi.
They are so light and comfortable.
dell_75: no jpn and US version dont sync correctly at start of race.
I did notice that some Jpn players were wanting to race the fastest north american folks yesrerday on Kai
so they either have to get a US version or maybe like me have both
xgarage: there is a OSX version of Kai but its currently Alpha stage.

yesterdaylightin one word, no. but i believe if you download kaidstation and you have the correct router you can install kai directly to your router or something. not sure on that... why can't u setup kai on your computer ?? maybe we can help. later-
VVI have made a first test with Pricer.
The Kai connection seems to be ok, but GT4 stay in a "Waiting For Connection" state.
The details of the test :
- both use a local network with a DHCP server
- the two PCs have an automatic network configuration (automatic IP and automatic DNS)
- the two PS2s have an automatic network configuration (automatic IP and automatic DNS)
- GT4 Lan Connect Settings (for me) :
> Unit Name : VV
> Host : Yes
> Style : Play (default)
> No of join people : 2
> Live target : Player1 (default)
> Sub monitor : 0 (default)
> Monitor Position : Central (default)
> Monitor Type : Normal (default)
> NetWork Loading : Large (default)
Pricer has the same settings, except for Unit Name : Pricer and for Host : No
- GT4 Network Settings (for me) :
> Autoconnect : OFF (default)
> Connect Number : 1 (default)
Pricer has the same settings.
Launch GT4 Lan :
- go to Arcade Mode / Multi Lan Race
- select the MC slot
- select the MC file for the network configuration
- press "Ok" (the left button)
> the screen "Waiting For Connection" appears
Launch Kai :
- start Kai on the PC
- switch to dignostics mode
- the network informations appears :
> Public IP : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
> Public Port : xxxx
> Network reachable : Yes
- switch to dignostics view
- the PS2 informations appears :
> PS2 : Network configured successfully
- switch arena mode
- enter in the PS2 Arena
- enter in the GT4 Arena
- create a private Arena
- Pricer enter in this Arena
> I see Pricer and he see me
> the connection is established
> the ping values are displayed
But GT4 stay in the "Waiting For Connection" state.
Any idea ? Any suggestion ? Hajaz ?
I have the same question ...
Next test : meet Pricer and made a real LAN test with two chipped PAL PS2 ...
MortICiDid you not read what i said in my post or what? Or did i not stress it enough that THERES A SPECIFIC ORDER THINGS NEED TO GET DONE.
To fix your issue don't ****ing start the lan game untill your in a private arena with the other person. Once your in the same arena as i have stated a million times before the Player that is not hosting starts the lan and waits for the WFC screen once he is at that screen he should immediatly notify the HOST that he is there at which point the HOST joins the game and there you go you should be set. YOU SHOULD NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER be at the WFC before you both are ready to start the process. READ MY POST CAREFULLY ONE STEP AT A TIME MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND IT THEN PROCEED TO GO ONE SET AT A TIME. Will save you time and pain from trying to figure it out and you won't have to post that question.

ropeadopeSo do i need to have both my computer and my PS2 connected at the same time? Because I have to diconnect my computer from the net to play PS2 online usually.
