the odds of the person in front of you going in the same direction as you are is directly proportional to how much slower than you they wish to drive.

Not related to the topic but truer words were never spoken...

I join "Do you race?" in this matter:

Where is Spoek, how does Spoek look, and what do racing drivers say about Spoek?

I didn't find anything about this track on the net, so I'd appreciate if somebody who knows it can provide us with some information on it.

EDIT:
I just saw that it has disappeared from this list again. Strange ... :ill:

The track was removed because no info seems to surface about it, and therefore we can't be sure that it really is a GT4 track.

However, this is what it looked like :

From this video, I spotted a new photomode location, Beacon Hill, Boston.
The Boston location was previously known as "Louisberg Square".
The Fish Market location was previously known as "Tsukiji".

Check the Photo Mode link in my sig for more information.

Wow, you've got all the photomode information, ever. To add, if you haven't seen it from the TGS GT4 Movie, one of the frames has a snow location just like the ancient picture with the Evo VII Rally Car, I don't know if that proves anything of a photomode location or another snow/ice based track.

I believe that is Shiga Kogen.

Also, whatever happened to Crete? The name was mentioned in the official European site some time ago, but was never heard of again. Just like Hong Kong.

It's nice to have an old favorite like Autumn Ring Mini back. Should suit the lowpowered cars a lot better then what we had in GT3. Great to see that they are including different configurations of each track. :)

Oh damn... they have the wussy config for Sears Point (wussy if the racing isn't club-level racing). Chamonix and Cathedral Rocks Trail? Sounds like fun. I had to read up on Chamonix and found little until logging on to GTPlanet. Perhaps Cathedral Rocks seems like (and I'm just guessing) a rally course with a lot of loose gravel roads. If not that, then maybe a stylish short road race course.

Other than that, nice to read up on the new track data.

Lindbl.resident, plenty has been heard about hong kong. For a start it's on prologue, you justhave to cheat it out. So we know of its appearance...

You've probably noticed this before, but if not :

I noticed that there still is a "?" after Fuji 2005 F course. On this site, two slighty different layouts are showed :

For Chamonix, gamelle71 gave a good summary in another thread :

every years , chamonix organize a ice-race during 24 hours
the track is here :

That looks like some srious sliding going on... I wonder how that will come out in GT4, we've never had anything like that before...
There is a video of Ice Arena on the scej-website.
The car hits the wall all the time, but it seems there is a small difference in level of the track near the wall, so wall riding does not reward that much.

At least that is what I hope. Probably wall riding will be thé way to go fast here ... 👎

So Chamonix is an ice racing locale? That's in the French Alps, or is it? As I said before, I'm upset about people who say that GT4 is going to be "just another GT game." Racing on ice/snow is going to be a new experience. I'll have to go online and read more about it, but for the most part, I'm pretty inexperienced on this.

Any word yet on Cathedral Rocks? What do you think a track like this would be like? Alpha said it would be like an El Capitan type track, while I said it seemed more like a rally course. But no idea about this deal.

this game is going to rock, that for sure.

Now i hope the Rock tracks wil be a mud rally track with rocks in it,launching the cars if you hit it :P
