Im just wondering about the new Information on the track count.
65 course locations and 90 tracks mentioned in the official delay announcement.

I wonder if that is just different track layouts Only and not including reversed.

Its only 25 alternatives to the main track list, and that number would seem to small to include reverse.
Weve already heard of Motegi 2 courses, Suzuka 2 courses, Fuji 3 courses, we even heard a rumour that Lemans Could be in with 3 courses, not to mention all the fantasy track short and long versions add to that those that are likely to have wet options.

I just think that there will be more than 25 tracks reversed, and we already heard that 65 was not including variations.

To me I think this game is going to have a huge variety of tracks, very near the hundred they muted at the start, which we all assumed was going to include reverse options, now i think we are going to be in for a huge track fest.

Opinions?

Hmm, given all the tracks they are adding, i would not be surprised that we would have 100 tracks with only 30 in reverse. Hey, if you're that bothered about driving reverse tracks, drive around them backwards and ignore the wring way sign... The more tracks going forwards the better...

Im not bothered greatly about how many are in reverse, Im merely wondering what the official statement actually suggests.
It seems more likely to me now that 65, the figure thats been around for a while will be the number of locations for tracks, and the newly mentioned 90 figure is what the total number of layouts will equal, One Way! :)

it is great in its own way, but becomes tiresome eventually in my opinion...

Naaaah, Complex String is no track. a true track makes fun. complex string does not!!!
Same goes for ROad America. I don't know, why so many dream wet of that track, it's just boring.

Some of you may know that I usually don't like racing long tracks, especially in license tests. Reason why is that all it takes is one mistake to ruin things for the entire session. One mistake has you doing a whole track all over again.

Complex String would have been the greatest track to work with only if you can choose which sections you'd like to attack. I don't know a lot of people who would even take on something like this. I did Le Mans in a game and can't wait to do Nurburgring Nords. Complex String is pretty unrealistic. It's a glorified test track that has basically nothing around it. Just a lot of road, some trees, some hills, and all that. A Photo Mode shot here would be pretty pointless unless you're having some magazine-style photos of your car at some relatively unimportant track.

We're going to have a lot of locales in this one. But when I was looking online, never heard of Rialt or Chamonix. If anyone can help me out on these locales, reply to me.

Exactly, it becomes tiresome due to the 'one mistake theory' you mentioned, but that doesn't just go for complex string, that goes for all long license tests, particularly the 2-lap ones in prologue, they are excruciating...

Hmm, maybe they are going to set up a 400m and 1000m drag like they did tests for in machine test... I'm not sure but like Do you race? I doubt there will be many options, but be grateful there are some at all...

I see there's still no word on a few of my favorites from GT2: Grindlewald, Red Rock Valley, Green Forest and Rome Night. I'm looking forward to all the new tracks, but those 4 are the ones I missed the most.

Ofa ll the tracks on that mini-list, martialstax, only Rome Night holds my attention. Green Forest was OK, but would be better if it were narrower and a bit tighter.

Green Forest was my favorite of the GT2 rally tracks. It has a great rhythm to it, and I liked the challenge of getting that last sharp right turn just right.

Grindelwald was another great rhythm track. Get your braking and turn in points just right, and you could fly through those Alpine mountains.

And Red Rock Valley was a great challenge with the right car. Of course I used it all the time to win the Speed 12 and build up my bank, but I kept it interesting by trying less and less powerful cars to try and win it with. The Renault Clio and the 67 Vette were a real challenge to win that race with.

I was always surprised that Rome Night wasn't featured in the GT race series anywhere. I think it was only really accessible as an endurance race, wasn't it?

I think we can definitively consider that Le Mans Circuit will be in the final game.
I've found these two track lists in the gt4.vol of the japanese GT4 demo.

And notice "motegi_east" and "motegi_west" tracks ... ;)

How did you get into the "GT4.VOL"? Were you able to extract it, or did you just browse it with an appropriate editor?

Cheers,
the Interceptor

The GTFS has been modified, probably to support files bigger than 4 gb (the final gt4.vol will be around 9 gb).
So the existing extract tools don't work with the japanese demo.

Do you race?
If only we could have the Sudschliefe as well. Sadly, that was ripped up to make way for the yawn-inducing F1 track.

really boring track. long sweepers after long smooth straights with only a few engaging corners. This from my experience from video games and F1 coverage. :dopey:

From this video, I spotted a new photomode location, Beacon Hill, Boston.

What the actual Sudschliefe? Or just the F1 track?
