Ah, it was great to be there. Now when I drive past the 9km sign in the BMW demo I always think (hey, that's where I stood, and that's where I walked, that's where the second entrance to the Ring is, that house is what I parked the car next to, etc. )

Yeah, that's true. And on the real pics, the trees are almost touching each other from both sides of the track.

That's the only thing that isn't perfect. Other than that, the track is gorgeous.

This is my Forza vs GT4 comparison based on what I've seen, read or listened on the Internet, by each comparison point I find important:

Graphics:GT4 looks a notch better in screens but this may be related to the fact they show almost only Photomode pics and also because Forza supports damage, wich influences the amount of polys you can put. Winner:GT4

Gameplay:GT4 is terribly good, very close to life but Forza is not bad. Comments I saw range from "superior to GT3" to "equal to GT4". No FFB on the horizon for wheel players tough. Winner: GT4, by a small margin.

Car count: Discussion ends here:GT4 will have 650+, but Forza will have 200+ and could come close to 500, according to some sources, not bad! Winner:GT4

Car lineup quality: GT4 sports many nice rides and race cars, but they lack some important ones and their love for 50 hp lame cars and 20 Skyline variants harms them. Winner:Forza

Track count: Gt4 will have many, including some real life legends, but Forza promises to get some good ones too.Winner:GT4, lack of info from Forza

Car tuning: Forza will have something for anyone:real upgrades for real drivers and ricer kitsfor NFSU wannabes, GT4 will have good tuning, but no body kits or paint mods announced.Winner:Forza

Damage:even if Forza's damage is cheesy(what it doubt), it's still better than nothing and what I like:you can play without it if you want 👍 .Winner::Forza

Car sounds:Everybody just hopes V8 sound like they should in GT4, not like in GT3 where almost every car sounds like an I4 with a sports exhaust as Forza has been qualified with comments like "sounds very live and real" by many.Winner:Forza


Online: Let me do it short:Forza will have online with 8 cars and we know it will work well, Xbox live has made its proofs.GT4 will have it, but only in a year. Winner:Forza

You really can't say foraza wins in tuning or cars because you dont know what cars will be in gt4 and gt4 will have famous tune shops so imo you are in the wrong for judging that quick. As for making a car look like what you want it to look like, forza wins but I can't say that for tuning parts and upgrades but we dont know what gt4 will offer in the tuning scene. Kaz mentioned wanting to educate users on how to tune cars properly and that sounds like a plethora of tuning parts and options to me. It sucks that gt4 wont have aero kits and I dont car for riceness. Car quality, say if gt4 doesn't have ferrari or porsche, does that mean its quality is meh? Forza wont half the amount of cars gt4 will have and what about race cars, which do you think will have the most? Racing cars is the main reason I'm excited about gt4's car list. And we'll have to let time tell if ferrari or porsche is in but I have a good feeling porsche could make it. Gt4's theme is car history, and there will be loads of Le mans cars, DTM cars, jgtc cars, and many more. I guess no one sees gt4's car inclusion like me for them to think forza has better quality and also fyi, gt4 will have a tuner car town, meaning after marker cars.

Yes, cobra, some of the things you said are true. But we know about much of GT4s car list, some of Forza's is yet to be announced. Forza will probably not have JGTC cars (it's not a Japanese game) but it WILL have DTM and more important Le Mans racers. Toyota GT-1, Ferrari 333SP (oh my!), etc will be in.

Also, in terms of tuning, Forza wins hands down. Forza has engine swaps (as long as they are from the same manufacturer, I believe) and most, if not more, of the features GT4 has... plus a dyno chart that shows each mod's difference throughout the range. I have seen the menu in action and it is pretty sweet.

Also with bajillions of exterior combinations the cars in Forza will truly be yours. When you go online, and you have modded your car, there is a high chance no one will have one like it. And I like that. You may not want big wings and stuff, but the downforce (some of the cars in the game are ACTUALLY fast, and necessitate a wing) really helps in something we call TURNS.

Also the quality of cars is much better. Most people would rather drive a 575M than a Diahatsu Storia X4 (I've never heard of one outside of GT3) or a 90hp Buick. Forza wins hands down, fo sho. Even though GT4 has F1 cars (most likely, and one of them better be bright red!) you can't tune them at all.

Just because 2 car makers aren't in, makes gt4's car quality sub par to forza? Now what if gt4 has ferrari and porsche, will gt4's car quality magically become better? Because gt4 has 10 skylines doesn't mean there isn't something else to look forward to. I'll wait to I know more about gt4's tuning scene before I say anything, I know all I want about forza's tuning scene and it's impressive.

It's a tough call to say which car list is better, but all of the cars announced for Forza are ones I am interested, and only a fraction of the ones in GT4 get my blood running.

Of course, more is indisputably better. Especially when it's twice as many.

Says who? There are many people who love "those" cars and would love to race them. I don't see why everyone thinks only exotics should be in the game. I mean they're sexy, lovely cars that make me drool, but saying no one wants to race the "average joe" cars is kinda ignorant, no offense.

Anyhow, I'm not saying GT4's car list is better just because there are more cars, but more cars I'd DRIVE. I don't wanna drive only exotics and sports cars. It'd be kinda amusing if you could throw a Honda Odeyssey around a track with it's tires wailing bloody murder. Just kidding There's just that thing people have when they can drive their own car in the game, you know? I'm not saying Forza's car list sucks, I DO love it, but GT4 suits me better. I dunno. GT has always been heavily biased towards Japan's automotive history, letting the Gaijin manufacturers play second fiddle.

Forza is a more evenly balanced dealie, as far as the early car lists show. More euros and Americans to drool over.

I hope GT4 includes the greats from all over the world, instead of just a selective sampling of non-Japanese cars. Not that I don't like Japanese cars, I am just more enticed by the "others".

Actually it´s not. If GT4 doesn´t get KIA then that´s just a car maker. But if you ask people what car would they like to have if they could choose any car, most would answer Ferrari or Porsche. Well gt4 was bold enough to use a new physics engine, so maybe they'll focus more on US and Euro cars. If they didn't, they would be contradicting their theme for gt4 and we know that already

Please dont get me wrong, I love ferrari and porsche. I'd love to take a 966 evo on the nurb but saying forza has better car quality because it has those 2 imo isn't right because gt4 will have way more cars.
