In previous weeks I've done my fair share of low-end moaning ... decrying the car or the track (or both!), but it was during the MNP Skyline event that I was struck with somewhat of an epiphany.
Yes, you don't have to race if you don't want to, but ultimately the fun is racing ESPECIALLY if you don't want to. I have not only advanced my game because of the WRS, but I have added cars to my garage that I would normally not buy, and experienced driving them when I'd normally just pass on by.
By getting over the hurdle of the intial "UGH! What the heck is this boat on 4 wheels?", I almost always start to love the challenge of the event, the learning curve involved and the rewards that come from tackling these and the new experiences they offer.
Add to this that CFM cannot - and will not - ever satisfy everyone by offering a weekly challenge that the whole WRS thinks KICKS FREAKING ASS, and really the guy deserves way more credit than a bunch of moaning (and remember, I'm decrying myself there, too).
If he can come up with an imaginative challenge and a change of pace everyweek, then I - for one - really appreciate it and the effort he has to put forward. I won't be moaning about any combinations and events in the future, simply because every race, every combo, every car and track, have their fair share of challenges and while I may not be up to them, by running that week I'll be sure to atleast learn a thing or two and that's what the whole WRS is about to me
So thanks CFM for everything that you do and the ongoing struggle you endure to come up with new and interesting events every week!
