A much better save ...

L1 - 54.834
L4 - 52.052
L6 - 52.119

Took a further 1.4 seconds off at the line out of nowhere basically? :P totally shocked me after my first sessions .. Going back for more ;)

I just realized I'm a very addicted person. Rather than letting go of the PS2 and getting a drink, I unplugged the DS2 and went with it in my hand. It's getting sticky by now...

Nah mate. you will know when you're addicted when you're sat on the bog with it still in your hand. The DS2 I mean. :sly:

Cool as Funk! Fun as anything! 👍 👍 👍 👍

L1 0'55.510
L4 0'52.390
L6 0'52.729 (Including lapping the VW!)

Got a lineup in which I'm 5th before crossing the line, and 2nd into the looooonnng loopy right! Bug starts in 4th, and is caught during lap 6, after all the rest have been taken care of on lap 5.

easiestly the ugliest car i've ever seen. it looks like they beat the ugly stick with IT. drives well though. nice toy car for nice toy track. i'm just getting the feel for the snail's pace but i can tell already this will end up being quite addictive and fun 👍

The Mini Marcos at Le Mans(1966):

So it was clear the ACO (Automobile Club de l'Ouest) was not going to invite a British Kit Car Manufacturer to race what was basically a re-shelled Mini Cooper Special. But if the drivers were French, the car assembled in France and the entry was French then this was a different matter.

Check out the lineup with the Beetle in 5th, and no Honda Z Act - You'll get pass the Beetle before the start, and you can reach first, if you're daring, even before the loooong right-hander ;)

First shot at it.

58.939
55.135
55.236

This one's addictive.....at least for me.

I do have a query. As this is my first attempt at this kind of race I need a clarification. If I make a clean pass and enter a corner and the car I just passed taps me in the arse........clean or dirty?? Thanks!

Yep, that's dirty. :(

Understood! :ouch: :ouch: Touch nothing allow nothing to touch you!! 👍

Here's a clean update

58.133
54.616
56.463

new save and a further 1.3 seconds off at the line :)

L1 - 54.733
L4 - 51.929
L6 - 52.006

I found a line up with great way to get through the pack and the slow lap 5 / 6 is certainly not as slow anymore 👍

Back to it after the apprentice ;) ... You're Fired! :P

ok there liberace.

seriously though, thanks for creating my youtube for those old gt3 replays. i thought they were lost forever, especially the vertigo. i really appreciate it. 👍 if you weren't so ugly i'd give you a big sloppy kiss.

Also gave it a go tonight. It was fun at the beginning, but it soon became annoying. Everytime I was going faster, the AI was in a position where they managed to hit me :yuck:

L1: 54.465
L4: 51.488
L6: 52.130

Without the AI there's an easy 1,5 secs left, but I'm done with it. Submitting now. I see you're all having more fun with it than I do, so good luck

Thanks, mate 👍

I'm sure you'll equal those soon :sly: As long as you can manage to get rid of the AI

Right then, I'm kicking up the leaderboard...

To fellow board-updaters: 2-4-6 is possible, lets just run them as 'T2-6', mmkay? Doing them as different laps will make the board go nuts, with three lines per racer...

EDIT: Found an easy lineup - able to reach 2nd before the long right-hander:

  • Fiat 500R '72
  • Mazda Carol 360 Deluxe '62
  • Subaru 360 '58
  • Honda LSV
  • VW Beetle

First on the board :D

only grid line-up i can use Hugo

56.486
53.256
53.897
2:43.639

First clean pass.

Nice photo of the Marcos in action. That rear wheel and tire combo is gorgeous. Is it me or does that poor little turd look tiny even in the photo? The assassins in the background seem disproportionately large.

Update:
55.373
53.030
52.603
2:41.006

Screwed up the last lap but the final time is still far better.

Bummer. That's the exact line-up I was facing. They are easy to pass at the start though, so that's good for all divisions 👍

Ah well, it shouldn't be too easy all the time. A little frustration won't hurt

L4 - 51.929
L6 - 52.006

holy ****, how did you manage that 51.9? i'm happy with the low 53s i am able to do and i can see how someone makes a 52.2-52.5, but faster than that? wow. But then again i should probably try manual transmission first before analyzing times :D

I take it you missed these splits from Hugo :sly:

L1: 54.465
L4: 51.488
L6: 52.130

I cant for the life of me match Hugo on lap 1 or lap 4 ( best is still 54.7xx and 51.8's )and losing about .3 per lap, in my working over 7 laps could be a minimum of 2.1 second loss overall but I expect a bigger gap

The DS2 in my hands is useless for braking and accelerating together as always and this loss will be noticeable in most flowing easy tracks :indiff: ... The motto here is catch Hugo and bag the win 👍

Welcome to the WRS Hydr0x

thanks, i was already doing Week 100 but missed the deadline ;)

yeah, i did miss those splits, wow. I'd love to know what times i could do with a DFP/G25 and MT ;) i still have serious trouble with the final turn though, i just can't manage to take it with a constant speed, but at least i improved a lot on the 3rd/4th corner which saved me a lot of time

@Sphinx

Deutsche Post is currently still messing with my Max Drive, they stored it at the wrong location to pick up, then send it to the right one on Monday but as of today it still hasn't arrived there (internal post delivery takes >=4 days, isn't that hilarious) so i am not sure i'll be able to submit a replay in time (as i'm away from home for a week from Tuesday on). Is that a huge problem? I will definitely provide a replay, it just don't know if i can make the deadline :/
