I know which second barrier Holl broke.
Ive been trying to break the one above him for ages.... i know i can, its just getting everything right.
What i mean is, im trying to break a barrier, and he is trying to be one second quicker than i am.
Least i hope its one. It might be two.
Anyway.
Key to this course, spend 5 mins finding out the top speed in each gear, then reaching that speed, or the figure one below it, each time you drive the track.
MPH is like this:
Stay in 2nd out of the hairpins, using the last inch of road up to the sand before turning right out of the last one onto the straight, which gives you more straight to run, therefore higher top speed, therefore a quicker T1, change from 2nd to 3rd at 56MPH, 3rd to 4th at 82MPH (just before you cross the line!) and 4th to 5th at 107-110MPH, you pick.
I dont use kph, so someone else can work this out, and post it.
The other most important things are:
Stay parallel with the right hand wall as long as you can until the car starts to understeer with too much speed, before T2, then when it slides out, brake and drive straight back into the turn, giving you optimum racing line round the turn, and better exit speed.
Once onto the back straight, which is twisty, try to use half throttle round the twisties, and drive out of there at at least 95MPH, accelerating all the way.
That is where all the time is lostor gained, as the following hairpins etc can be learned with time, and correct braking points.
There are major advantages to stopping EARLY enough, and also to using HALF throttle round corners.
I just need another .5, and im happy..... i doubt im gonna find it though.
Good luck people.
