OMG, my heart is beating out of my chest and my hands are shaking ... I had to walk away from the PS2 for a while :P

FINALLY put in a half decent lap. I think I can shave off maybe another half a second if I can repeat this performance a few more times, but I am - at last - hitting a semi-decent mark (for my division :P)

T1: 19.897 I've been faster through here.
T2: 38.400 If I can get the T1 right, I think I can go sub 38, which would rock.
T3: 59.188 First time I've been sub one minute ... heck, the 58's don't seem that impossible.

YAY!

Div3 with mah brand new, sexy DFP.

I can definately attest to how frustrating this can be and I can safely assume that CFM would be very pleased if everyone complied with this, submit only once, idea.

Obviously the participation has increased since the Weekly was conceived and with 70+ racers, CFM will have enough to deal with if everyone only submits once.

Just to give some of you a bit more insight on this subject, I used to receive 100+ PM's a week, when the Weekly was only capturing 30-40 participants.

Another thing that will help CFM organize himself is that if you clearly lable your PM title as a time submission.
Reason being is that CFM can easily pick out those PM's of others that are asking questions and not submiting times.
I never would look at time submission PM's until the time I was posting the results. It just worked better for me that way, and then I also wouldn't know what others times were until past deadline. Hence, I couldn't go squeeze a few extra tenths off my time to get ahead of someone.
However, some racers would ask a question and then also give me an updated time. This is a sure way to have your updated time forgotten.
Please send your final time in a PM that is clearly labeled as such. If you have aditional questions, sending another PM would be more condusive to the WRS Admin's organization. 👍

Thanks everyone for you help in this and helping CFM out in his duties.

Sorry to pick you out of the crowd as I know many others are doing the same thing. This is just a general comment and it's not aimed at anyone specific.

Try to submit only one time. There is no need to submit your time days in advance. I'm sure it only causes more work for CFM and increases the chances of your final submissions in the results being wrong. If you think you MIGHT run again, wait to submit your time until you are sure you won't run again.

With 80ish racers, I can fore-see a one-time submital in the near future if we don't nip this in the bud asap. I understand that once in a while this will happen, but it shouldn't be a weekly occurance.

Again, I'm not picking on anyone, just trying to help everyone involved.

Race on!

Hmm, my last post just disappeared.

In another thread I accidentally posted my times that were meant for this thread, then I edited that post and wrote "could a mod please delete this?"

Well that post is still there and the legit one for this thread is gone, lol, I guess a moderator misunderstood what I meant.

Anyway

T1 19.487
T2 37.654
T3 57.938

I managed to get some time today and was able to improve my time slightly. So, as there is no tomorrow for me, here goes:

19.621
37.926
58.375

We shall see where that puts me in the final results. Can't wait for next week!

Come on, Pink, cheer up. :) . You already got a podium place. That's quite an achievement in this highly competitive division 2. 👍

Why on earth should you ditch that great run.

I dunno though I saved that great lap.

💡

Actually I'm not permitted to order something via internet(parents :grumpy: ) but I'll do it anyway. :mischievous: I'm not going to waste such a great week.

Cheers,

* EDIT *:Forgot to post my new clean run ;)

T1:19.498
T2:37.501
T3:57.521

Famine
Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are both on the Adriatic...
Right, but I've always considered the Adriatic as a subdivision of the Mediterranean Sea.
Or else Greece would not be on the Mediterranean Sea either, but on the Aegean and Ionian seas ; Monaco would be on the Ligurian Sea, etc.
It's true that the Adriatic is much easier to spot than the other ones, because it's mainly surrounded by land, but we're now 100% off topic :D
Here is a link to a simple but accurate enough map for those who'd like to know more about it.
I'm getting back to my Supra trying to beat some div3 racers. (And especially one of them who is ATM faster than me and challenged me, she'll understand ;) )

Finally an update.
Took me ages to get here.

19.805
38.342
58.864

Ouch ! :ouch: Some very fast times posted this week, and im only commenting on Div 3 times, let alone D1 And D2. I just could not come to grips with this combo, in my old age my frustration level seem to max out a lot sooner than it used too LOL.

From the comments posted here i know im not alone in having a problem being consistant thru the last chicane, every time i ve been faster at T2 I just havent been able to get thru there correctly :banghead: , oh well bring on next week, mmmm a 4WD ( I can feel an Audi coming on ) 👍

Good luck to everybody on thier results for WRS week 2, my time submitted to CFM

Just FYI on the unoffical leaderboard. It is a part of Luxy's sig also if ya ever need it.

And lost a whole day trying to improve as the TV at the duty office didn't have a line in. :indiff: But I do have until Tuesday night my time here in Japan to keep trying. I see I do need to try to catch Kol if possible. :sly:

Hehehehe, I tend to use you as a benchmark, too :P

And sjaak68 ... except that little bugger is beating me right now :(

Bah... I didn't do a great lap, but managed to beat my old one by about 2.5 seconds

T1 : 19.895
T2 : 38.055
T3 : 58.483

Tried to come back and run a session tonight. NOT A GOOD IDEA.
I recieved my PC driving game GTR in the mail on Friday and have been dinking about with it, my pc, and the DFP fo get things right.
WOW! What a simulator. Hard to pop in for few laps in GT4 after that.

Yay improvement for me. Think i finally found the proper way to enter the chicane

Old: -----------------> New:
T1: 0'19.452 -------> T1: 0'19.481
T2: 0'37.460 -------> T2: 0'37.495
T3: 0'57.591 -------> T3: 0'57.466

Definitely hope to be able to improve again. From T3 to finish i only improved my lap time by .070 even though my T3 time difference is .130....
wow now that i really look at that that sucks lol
lost half my lead over my ghost 👎

That's a solid T2, but you seemed to lose it a little after that. My latest T3 is .1 faster than yours, but that very last corner can shave off .1/.2 either way depending on how it's taken, so I'll be interested to see how we rank :P

Submitted my time ... I love the track and car, but I've spent too much time on it and my heart is beating out of my chest!

I was slower on T1, but ran a good T2 (compared to my usual faire) and shaved .4 off my last T3.

I was starting to worry I was going to embarass myself this week, but I finally got a good rhythm going tonight, and the times started dropping. I've got a final time that's well below my goal, and would take forever for me to match, so I'm submitting it now :)

19.494
37.558
57.600 (my personal best T3 by 0.300 :D )

Whew ... I feel better now!

I have just finished another 20 lap session.

Improved my lap time (finally) by and extra 0.1.

Same T3 (roughly), but I exited the chicane better.

Splits:

T1: 0'19.569
T2: 0'37.965
T3: 0'58.328

Still 0.2 away from my ideal lap - hopefully before the deadline I will manage to find them.

This is really frustrating.

The Wizard.

I also did a 20 lap stint last night and came up with a much better time than I expected, so submitting these times :

T1 : 19.594
T2 : 37.962
T3 : 58.546

I just hope at least this is competitive in Div. 3 :)

Don't you just love it when a lap gets your heart racing and your hand shaking! :D
I've not had that in a while :(

I'm jealous that you have that sexy DFP ... I want one sooo bad

Good luck in the results :)

< Looks at Nat's last comment of .4 better than last T3 .. ( 👍 too btw)

Umm well just not ready to conceed to Nat just yet :sly:

2 sets of 25 this afternoon.

T1 : 19.873
T2 : 38.830
T3 : 59.674 (Finally a good lap under 1'00)

Off to do some GT Mode stuff, will return to it tomorrow before deadline in my evening.

Bah!

My Ps2 Died.

Well it didnt die, but it wont read GT4.

Bloody disc read errors......

I know this is off topic, but there are so many frequent posts in here i'll ask anyway:

What are the slim psTwo's like? Anyone had a bad experience?

Im gonna have to go buy one later i think, get it over and done with.

I have to improve my time on this and if i dont do it tonite, i never will!!

Im only looking for a few tenths, which i can get if i get everything right, but its doing that that is making me crazy.

Where's me chips, he'll know what to do.....

@vexd

I bought a 2nd PS2 over here in Japan at the exchange, and it was the slim version. Until then never knew there was one. :indiff:

So far I have not had any issues with it, and seems to fit better in areas that I have for storage. Other than that, don't think there really is much else of a difference other that slimer, jack locations, and how the CD goes in. (Has 2 USB ports also, and not sure if 1st edition had two or just one)

Just off chance, is it just GT4? or any disc? I know you prolly have done it all ready, but if it just GT4, then get a soft cloth and wipe the surface of it clean gently, and from inner to outer.

On my 3rd Ps2 matey, had trouble with them reading discs before, had them taken to pieces by me, and repaired by me, and had them sent back to SONY and new ones supplied, i know all there is to know about DRE's because of this site, but i am sick to death of fixing a ps2 every 6 months cause the laser cant be buggered to work, and i thought, with a LAN coming up too, that i might just go get a new one.

I do need a new pad aswell, might as well kill two birds with one stone, but wondered if anyone had any horror stories to tell already?

Ive rung the store, they have 3 in stock, ive reserved one.

Are they just as rubbish, or is there hope in the new weight loss version?
Any replies welcome. Sorry to post off topic.

Good luck in the race people!!

hehe

Well as long as you keep your slim ps2 nice and cool its fine, i did 600 vigilante missions in GTA SA so it defiently is able to keep on going. Its really nice and fits into small places. Just have a fan on it when its hot or been going for long and its all good. I highly reccomend it.

It plays GTA SA and has never stoped on me, which is the ultimate ps2 killing game as far as disc reading goes. keep it out of dust and keep it cool and it will do you well 👍
