I demand that all you guys slow down a bit :)
hahah very very good splits! been doing hotlaps of the circuit.. done the combo about twice last night.. and lagging a bit behind :D

Splits.. well there are too many to remember..

First lap was around 56-57... Is there ways of getting around that annoying pack of cars... i keep running into them.. or they run into me..???

the beetle racer is easy to pass, the next one (a little nissan or something old) you have to nail under brakes into the first corner after that, the next 3 aren't a problem, nail the throttle at the apex of corner one and drive up the right hand side of the rest of the cars and you should pass T1 and all the other racers in approximately 17 seconds... then you're on your own...

thanks shock, and geeteye for the tips :)
Improvement on the final time by 2 seconds.. still lots to go

Excellent Combo CFM!!!
After about 150 Laps here in the "WET" driving Rallye Rides...this thing feels like it's "On Rails"!

Missed the tyres & final on the first attempt...adjusted & came up with:

T-1 = 16.969
T-1 = 32.139
Lap = 55.700

T-1 = 11.909
T-2 = 27.016

T-1 = 11.946
T-2 = 27.064

Lots more to be found I'm sure...but probably NOT by ME! ...O.G. :D

This combo for me has come down to really 2 turns and when I nail these turns I seem to produce better splits. First crucial turn, the quick right under the dunlop 'bridge' thing; if I can keep my speed up around 80 I am able to enter the next hairpin smoother it seems. Which then brings me to my next crucial turn, the last one. This is the trickiest turn on the track as everything you just worked so hard on relies on how you carry your speed thru this turn. I found last night that if I keep my speed up around 92 mph I can come out right over the rumble strips and carry more speed for the first turn of the next lap. Now this is of course my Humble D2 opinion and I drive different than about 90% of y'all as I use a DS2 ONLY. The 2 really sharp haripins I hardly have an issue with as I *THINK* its easier to manage them on the DS2. Well if anyone reads, this hope it helps!

I use Firefox also ... so does Kel and the kids 👍

In this combo I am running autoset @ 230 with AI @ -10 :)

stay tight and close to the rumbles on every turn and accelerate early for better speed and sectors! thats the key at Tsukuba .... is to have the power back on about halfway into the turn.

The AI can be passed just after turn 1 if you find a nice braking point on bend 1 behind the 3rd place car .... then pass all 3 in front before the next bend

Good luck 👍

Firefox here too! 👍

@Jump: Will try your way out, can't promise I'll see your times though.

I agree with Ron in that you want to get on the power as soon as possible with your wheel straight as possible. On both right hand hairpins, I try and go "past the corner", then cut back in sharply, and accelerate with the wheels as straight as possible, clipping the apex 2/3 of the way through. This gets me out of the corner and down the straight much quicker than any other way i've tried. (Just my 2 cents). :)

Anyways goodluck everyone! 👍

Yeah yet again Mr.P is right-o. I was just pointing out that not just the 2 tight hairpins are crucial for low times, but yeah add what he said too! 👍 .

I'm missing all the good combos thanks to my friend who lost the gt4 disc!!! IM SO PISSED!

How on earth did he lose the disc? Jeez, I'd be so mad 🤬

He is - of course - buying you another one, right? RIGHT? :grumpy:

Not to be toooooo off topic, but I develop for Opera, Firefox, IE and Netscape, and Opera has the poorest support for the W3C standards in DHTML DOM and CSS than is really acceptable ... I tend to stay clear of it, only because Firefox is the most professional out there right now (and Netscape 8.0 falls in a close second, imho).

Opera is still too buggy.

And in all of this, I completely discount and ignore IE, because it is, without a doubt, 5 years outdated and AWFUL to develop for.

Back on topic .... Luxy's Board has been updated.

T1: 17.691 :grumpy: Can't go inside of old car without touching, have to go round outside!
T2: 32.711
L1: 56.390 :(

T1: 11.947 :)
T2: 27.474

T1: 12.010 :ouch:
T2: 27.177 :)

Did a first few runs tonight. Was trying with gearing at 230 and had the same problem, had to go round him. Changed it to 220 and found that I could just pass him :)

First (crappy) splits, just to get on the board

T1: 17.152
T2: 32.823
L1: 57.336

T1: 12.055
T2: 27.654

T1: 12.073
T2: 27.415

Only ran 5 races, so still a looooot of improvement out there. Hope I'll get the time to find it

Okay so I have a quick question for CFM or anyone who ca fill me in....On Luxy's leaderboard I see MinorShunt as listed in orange. Is this a typo? Or did he choose ot bein D2? Because if he is in D2 again, life just got a little suckier for me... :ill: lol.

He's blue for me, 'Ace. :)

Ran 4 races so far, 2 w/ aids off, 2 w/ aids on....and I was more than 1 second faster a lap w/ aids on. Gears 230. Splits:

T1: 16.760
T2: 32.063
L1: 55.819

T1: 12.087
T2: 27.293

T1: 11.977
T2: 27.170

What is everyone setting the AI difficulty at?

Oef....

Got in finally :P

Ok here's my effort so far:

T1: 0'17.547
T2: 0'32.863
L1: 0'56.676

T1: 0'12.140
T2: 0'27.759

T1: 0'12.232
T2: 0'27.424

Second and third lap were great considering this was a half hour session.
First lap was awful though, hit the second to last car wright at the apex of the first 180° right. :yuck:

Got some much better splits to post. I had a race that was about 0.5 faster in accumulated T2 times but 0.2 slower at the finish?!? Anyway, this is a start:

T1: 0'17.620
T2: 0'32.529
Lap 1: 0'56.274
. . . . . . . . . . . .
T1: 0'12.061
T2: 0'27.170
. . . . . . . . . . . .
T1: 0'12.001
T2: 0'27.155

I'm losing a fair bit of time between T1 and T2 but everywhere else I'm getting much more confident, happy for now 👍

First decent session of the week:

L1/3
T1: 17.0
T2: 32.1
ET: 55.5
-----
L2/3
T1: 11.7
T2: 26.4
-----
L3/3
T1: 11.6
T2: 26.4

Fun combo. Just want to shave .5 to reach my goal.. 👍

Edit: 270km/h (never use 6th), AI -10, RH

Some splits to get me on the leaderboard:

T1: 0'17.075
T2: 0'32.309
L1: 0'56.222

T1: 0'12.049
T2: 0'27.144

T1: 0'11.914
T2: 0'26.843

Later 👍

My new save has a lap 1 of 54.8 so far 👍 my lap 2 and 3 are off the pace though!

This one is pretty hard to stay composed and steady on lap 3
I look forward to some more mental torture later tonight when i run it some more :D

btw... I tried auotset @220 but it goes by the redline and stutters in 6th heading into the last bend after the long straight.

Laters
Ron.

I tried something that no one has mentioned here yet. I put the AI on -7 with Hard tires.

What this does is give you the big Montero rally truck right in front of you, the Gathers Drider Civic in front of that, and then 3 other cars. On the front straight, you pass the Montero and Civic before you turn in. But then there's a big gap between the next cars. This allows you to turn in tight to the apex, and keep it tight while the 3 slower cars exit and swing wide. Then you power past them before T1.

This automatically lowered my T1 time on the first lap from 17.2-17.4 to a consistent 17.0, and I'm sure there are a few tenths remaining.

I could never get the AI to cooperate on -10 and RSH's. I always ran into someone. This makes them easier to pass and there's barely any risk of contact.

big thanks if that helps... last night i have my first 3 races just to see how the combo was... nothing fancy, best first lap was 55´5xx, so i was having trouble with the AI in the start... i´ll try that... i ran with gearing at 220 and topped 217 in the straight before the finish, so i didn´t think it was bad, but really i didn´t try anything else, i was just getting started with the subaru... notice that there was not much difference from practice and the race... wear tires might actually be better to some turns... to reduce understeer

You're a good bloke Androos...using your suggestion I beat my time easily, new splits for me:

T1: 0'17.337
T2: 0'32.299
Lap 1: 0'56.014
...............
T1: 0'11.861
T2: 0'26.947
...............
T1: 0'11.867
T2: 0'27.013

Fairly happy at this early stage of the racing week, thanks again Androos 👍

Nice tip Androos,
was gonna play around with the AI settings myself this afternoon, but got a migrane so playing is not a good idea.

Will give it a go later if the headache lifts.
