I see gearing anywhere from 220 - 280, .Tried most all but find 240 is good for my style. 280 is great at turn 3,the quick right after the T1 chicane cause you can do just a downshift instead of lifting the gas. Any of your reasons for gearing choices would be interesting. All these JGTC cars have a large powerband, shifting at 5500 is just as good as redline, that's why the only reason I can see for gearing difference is when you want to do your shifting, yes...maybe?

I beat my old lap by 0.005 and then after a couple of more tries found this:

Well I think I know the second barrier you're talking about and it is lightyears away for me
I don't think I'll be able to compete with you...jump_ace on the other hand seems determined to have a shot I'm really frustrated at the moment with my race, I can consistently get a 55.3-55.4 on my first lap now but I can't for the life of me replicate my final 2 laps from my previous post...still heaps of time I guess.

I think the key to a good time this week is down to getting the 2nd sector right, i can consistantly get a good end sector, and the start is usualy good, but that right hander before the bridge can cut your t2 split right down if you hit it right...

I could kick myself. I think that for a few weeks in a row last month I was like that "Awakenings" guy driving under some superpill. Now I'm Rainman, an excellent driver, definitely an excellent driver... (Yeah, right!)
Had ONE L1 of 55.0XX and now can't come close. I can't regularly get T2s of under 27.000!
I'm telling ya, I need someone to have pity on my and put me out of my misery (or send me a replay showing me how it's done!).
I did manage to take almost a second off of my SLOOOW first session time during my second session, but now I'm stuck.

BUT,
I broke my DFP! I broke off a gear tooth on the plastic gear that mates with the metal gear on the motor. So there's an annoying skip every quarter turn or so of the wheel and sometimes it jams up. Don't know how long until more teeth go. It's been grinding intermittently on fast "against-feedback" steering and it finally threw the tooth. BLEH!
Logitech is sending me a new one, but I doubt it'll be here in time for my Magic Monday night thrash... :^( I think I'll play with "feedback mild" from now on to preserve the hardware. Anyone know where I can buy a gear?

Argh, this is so annoying, i got a 54.909, then beat another second barrier by .15 on the next lap, then saw a 26.6 at t3 last lap, and messed up on the last sector!!!!!

Um yeah, 3 consistent laps isn't my forte exactly except when I'm at Bobkart's...hehe. But this is a nice combo because its 3 little laps and the AI are very easy to pass and are hardly an issue (which is RARE!) and really the best way to get fast laps is to do many laps, all that is needed is more concentration/patience/timing/BALLS/coordination/determination/nerves/....see VERY EASY....LOL.

Submitting now, getting it in in plenty of time this week (unlike last week when I almost forgot to submit ). I don't think I'd improve my time and my hands are still giving me trouble. Plus, uni starts back on Tuesday so I'm preparing for that.

Welp... i was only able to put in 1 hour of work on this week (thank you being sick as a dog yesterday + 8 hours of homework & F1 weekend). but it was a nice car on an easy track... so no biggie.
