Nice tip Androos,
was gonna play around with the AI settings myself this afternoon, but got a migrane so playing is not a good idea.

Will give it a go later if the headache lifts.

Neil

That or practise playing with the TV off...

It's a pretty simple track, I think it could be done with enough practice....

Hmmm,I know what I'm trying first thing tomorrow...I'll post my splits, assuming they are legal of course, if I finish the track....

Been waiting to get my new S Video cable in before I gave this week's race a try. Got it today (had to go to the Delivery Office, there was no-one in when they tried to deliver it the other day) and the picture quality is excellent, so much better than it used to be.

I've only had three runs (two dirty and one clean), but here are my splits so far:

Lap 1: T1: 17.536
T2: 32.704
Lap: 56.694

Lap 2: T1: 12.095
T2: 27.716

Lap 3: T1: 11.821
T2: 26.852

A scruffy run, lots of time left to make up :)

Thanks Androos, had it all the time on -7 to be honest (thinking outside the box..?!?), but the enemies on super hard tires, and fighting the gathers drider (second car to be overtaken) into the first right hander, overtaking him on the outside.and then cutting in.. so will change the tires one down and see if i can catch him before that bend....tx again!

You're a good bloke Androos...using your suggestion I beat my time easily, new splits for me:

T1: 0'17.337
T2: 0'32.299
Lap 1: 0'56.014
...............
T1: 0'11.861
T2: 0'26.947
...............
T1: 0'11.867
T2: 0'27.013

Fairly happy at this early stage of the racing week, thanks again Androos 👍

I forgot to mention one caveat - you have to let me win this week! :sly:

J/K - I'd want to work for it anyway. We'll see what happens.

Another 3 runs, all clean this time. Really enjoying this combo, almost as good as last week. Good job, CFM, cheers 👍

Lap 2: T1: 12.148

Lap 3: T1: 12.079

Bleh! I haven't had ANY time to play this week and feel like I'm slipping irrevocably behind!

Hopefully I can get some time on the track tonight. Hope to get some sort of idea where I'm stacked up...

Hey Shig. Are you accepting any new members into DPRG? :scared:

I've never been too good at this circuit but I'm not too far off the pace. I might even be in the running for my 3rd Div3 podium if I can figure out a better line through the first corner.

Yeah, no problem. I'm not only a member, I'm the president! I'll make matching jackets for everyone. Someone also suggested WRS Widow shirts for our wives. :)

Have just discovered a very nice AI setup as a result of Androos' suggestion (thanks!). Put the AI on -7, Racing Hard. Your AI lineup should look like this:

1: Nissan mm-R Cup Car
2: Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR Rally Car
3: VW New Beetle Cup Car
4: Gathers Drider Civic Si Race Car
5: Mugen Motul Civic Si Race Car

With this line-up, brake just as the Drider Civic does and cut underneath him on the inside. Remain on the inside and throttle out. You'll come within inches of the Beetle and the other cars are not an issue as long as you stay right. This lineup has seen T1 times of 16.7 at best, leading to a possible 31.5 at T2 if you hit that right. This is using 270km/h gearing.

Hoped to have some new times to post with this, but nothing really worth mentioning. Shaved all of .02 from my previous race time. :indiff:

Always managing to fsck up one lap.

I couldn't handle the longer gears so I'm using AI -10 on racing supersofts but with 240kmh gears. Works just as well provided your field doesn't have the Lancer 1600 Rally starting in 4th place. Overtake 5th on the straight, easily outbrake 4th in to the first turn, cut back under 3rd at the exit of turn 1, and take 2nd and 1st before the left kink turns back to the right.

gearing 250km/h
#3rd place car VW Lupo Cup Car '00
#4th place car Nissan mm R-cup car '01

T1 16.929
T2 31.763
L1 55.061
T1 11.730
T2 26.430
T1 11.863
T2 26.640

i've gotten
T1 16.912
T2 31.734
L1 54.994
T1 11.698
messed up after that

I was also updated on leaderboard from +.6 behind to +1.5 behind even though I never posted a second time til now

my only guess is that the leader of the leaderboard improved.

First day of trying, foot pedal on DFP was applying a small amount of brake (1sec. lap)Took apart and put back 6 times till I got it adjusted the way I wanted, what a pain.Anyway, first go
17.045
32.338
56..273

12.095
27.378

12.002
27.020

There's lots still left on yhe track, I hope.

Broke the second barrier I was aiming for. 👍

L1/3
T1: 16.962
T2: 31.647
ET: 55.116
-----
L2/3
T1: 11.722
T2: 26.456
-----
L3/3
T1: 11.706
T2: 26.485

Using 280km/h gearing, now. AI -7, RH also.

phheewwwiiieee .... updating the leaderboard for these 3-lappers is some arduous business :ouch:

Okay, done!

Indeed 👎, i will help as much as i can this week 👍

leaderboard updated :)

Holl01 lays the smack down...meanwhile I've improved a little:

T1: 0'17.221
T2: 0'32.154
Lap 1: 0'55.802
...............
T1: 0'11.936
T2: 0'26.776
...............
T1: 0'11.932
T2: 0'27.005

With about 0.45 improvement overall, my third lap wasn't too crash hot

T1: 17.186
T2: 32.568
L1: 56.253

T1: 11.929
T2: 27.126

T1: 11.869
T2: 26.878

Getting a bit better, got all my lines sorted, just need to be a little quicker everywhere :)

Finally got some races under my belt. Not too great, not too bad.

T1 16.899
T2 32.028 (obviously losing something here)
L1 55.631
T1' 11.856
T2' 27.088
T1'' 12.001
T2'' 27.086

At least I'm consistent!
