GT4 WRS Week 26: "Feline Fireball"

Lovely... The PS2 doesn't want to read the disc... Pat went down to Cali and swapped PS2's with his kid's PS2, which seems to have problems reading discs... It worked this morning, but when I came back from work, it's not working. DUMB! I want to have a go at this! Although, it sounds as if it's a few others' favorite track too...

lovely combo, first i was a bit afraid, but the car is really good if driven with ease...

getting the nack of tuning too, playing without the aids, much faster, still looking for the perfect LSD to correct wheelspin...

lost a good 0´6 or 0´8 in that lap, but for the forst session, its better than i usually do...

in the end, i got curious just to see how this car would handle in the grippy R5´s i´ll try that later, but even with R1 is still good, much more interesting than i initialy thought...

although, i´m already in regressive count to the polyphony digital :drool:

Wasted my time with some adjusted settings. Went back to stock and tied my best run in a couple tries. I'm not any good with tuning.

Good news though, I fixed my PS2. Now GT4 and maxdrive load 100% of the time. I thought there's always been problems with the maxdrive cd since it took around 30 minutes to load it... 👎

Understeering son of a gun! dang R1's and GT mode! somebody come up with killa settings please! my t times arent worth mentioning only did 3 laps.. and it looks to be very dismal.... Im about 6 seconds off the slowest person here :(

anyhow early days yet, theres still hope 👍

This is a great combo, softer tires would really kick it up. Early results , can't get my settings right.

My God Jeremy, ur haulin @$$ in D3 already! 👍 . I however am thinking I need a win to get where I wanna go, and so far this week.... :crazy: :yuck: to say the least. I'm having trouble keeping up with amp on the board here....its gonna be a long LONG week....but I get to go crabbin on Saturday tho! WOOHHOO!!! Then make some killer crabcakes...YUM!

Well...I have a respectable JGTC qualifying time now so it's time for some WRS'ing. I did my new Jag up all the way (I chose black cos I collect black cars) and after 42kms my splits are:

T1: 0'12.797
T2: 0'28.349
T3: 0'56.880
Finish: 1'xx.xx6

Pretty messy lap but that ought to let me know where I need to improve.

not happy with T1 but some times for the leaderboard for now... aiming to take a second off of my overall time at least... am struggling with some understeer and the gearing but i will get there eventually...

T1 - 13.074 (-0.3)
T2 - 27.860 (-0.1)
T3 - 56.483 (-0.3)
 
Not enjoying T1 rest of it however it slowly gelling together, no doubt h0tboi will pull out 1 lap & obliterate me :D

looks like a good week judging by the start... last night i blew a lap with a T3 of 55´5xx

but, since all those good laps came in the very first day, i think i´ll hit the second barrier i want very soon...

now, its up to do that, and then, setting up the car to shave that extra seconds... 👍

This weeks "Feline Fireball" looks like fun.
I'm too late for last weeks "Thunder From Down Under", but I tried that just last night and I'd managed a 1:31 after only 10 minutes and I'd never done Suzuka West before! Nice little track that.

Yep, 24 hr Nurb race will get ya the F1. Just let B-Spec Bob behind the wheel of a car that he can do sub 7 minute laps in, and let him go 👍
 
good, should be interesting, as for week 26 :( dont have an F1 car as of yet im only 93.6% done, maybe if im despro i could cheat :D but i dont like the idea. maybe next week i will give it a miss, but for this week im looking forward to it.

That was my game plan too, but about ten hours into it, my ps2 had been on for about 5 days, and I just didn't dare leaving it on any longer.

Gave the rest of the job to B-spec Bob, because I really wanted the F1. Still feel guilty about it though... But hearing that you didn't have a problem leaving it on for a month, gives me new hope.

i think my ps2 has been on for over a year.
i don't bother turning it off, just flip the input over to the tv.
not really sure why people are paranoid about leaving it on... as long as you blow the dust out of it every 6mo or so it doesn't even get very hot.

well lady, what worked for me was to turn off all aids, and set the LSD to 10/40/5...

tranny trick, and then auto set to 10, just streching the 6th gear and the 5th as well

on the suspension, i just start changing, but a ride height at 99/99 is definately better 👍
 
Done two laps and now I gotta rush off to work. The PS2 decided to work this morning, it'd been better if it hadn't, I might be late now... Oye...

T1: 13.589(hahah, soooo crappy)
T2: 28.708
T3: 57.442

I'll knock a second and a half off of that T3 by tonight.

Oh, that's with stock JAGUAR suspension, didn't put the Racing suspension in yet... And had the LSD too soft, and had wheelspin coming out of too many corners.

Jerome, that sounds like fun. It's been soom time since I've had some crab. I think a seafood dinner is in store for tonight.

BTW, I don't think I'm haulin' @$$ yet. If I dip under 56, then I'll be haulin' @$$. I'm going for a win this week. Watch out Div2. I'll be entering soon.

Probably cant get anymore wrs in! i got Dr_watsons problem! 2000 word essay [marcroeconomics :crazy: :yuck: :indiff:] not happy! due on monday.. weekend is packd!
Maybe get another stint at this monday and tuesday :P!!!
hopefully by then SOMEBODY who knows how to tune a jag has come up with great settings :D


t3 was 57.2 btw with the above splits my bad :)
