T1 12.985/ 12.876

T2 28.398/ 28.274

T3 57.478/ 56.882

These are my sector times from my best lap up to this point, i have had Way better splits but i dont take them down unless i make the lap clean....

new splits from last night:

T1: 12´754
T2: 27´694
T3: 55´628

now, starting to tune, since i already have a good lap to work on...

Magdelayna
yeah i changed the oil and it still shows up as 600 hp on the settings graph...

Really??? well.. personally i dont do oil change at all.. waste of time for me, you gotta change the oil too often and im too lazy :P :drool:
anyhow... i dunno where to get the other 21 HP from, im pretty sure it was the oil change.. did u miss any parts??

yeah i bought everything from the shop - maybe i bought something i should'nt have or it could be something i must change in the race settings :ill:

..washing it might get that extra bit of power :dopey:

Washing it!! now thats an idea! i think you may be onto something 👍
:crazy:
But with all the parts its 600 hp! coz thats what i got! :D
I just checked!! 👍
So oil change is the only thing left ??????

~~~~ Jase
It does look like just 600, you're right.
BUT
when you go into your settings page just before you race and look at the top of the screen, it'll show you have full 630BHP.
Oil change!! 👍
Doh! :ouch:
I've got that 600 problem too, but I didn't change the oil, that must be it :dunce:
That's a huge relief, I was wondering why I was so far behind the splits listed here :lol:
Now I'll get down to some proper times :mad:
(as soon as I get my Qualifying done)
Hi.
I'm really struggling with T3 though. its bizarre,.. my T1 & T2 times are pretty sweet, fairly competitive looking at the leaderboard but T3 is all over the place, the best i'm getting is a 0'58.x ... cant think what i'm doing wrong. Another couple hundred :) laps may well fix it but i dunno. i think my tuning must be playing a part.
ugh.. anyone else having T3 troubles ?
Perhaps you're using 2nd gear through that hairpin turn and not 3rd gear which can improve your time very much,other than that I dunno what else could be the problem?
Did you install everything though?
That depends on your gearing... I think I'll have to change my gearing to allow me to go around the hairpin in third, as that's the thing to do.
It does,I used default as I just started but now that you have reminded me I'll do some adjustments on the gear box to get a better acceleration through that turn!I drive witht no tcs so 2nd gear is not really an option as I get to much wheelspin! 👍
ive sorted it out now - i re-installed all the parts after the oil change and its now up to 630 hp :) ...dont know what happened before..
Hey, incidentally.. whats your guy's technique for noting your split times ? i cant seem to find them listed after the race ? either i'm missing something or you've all got classy memories. surely its not a case of 'pause | take note | unpause' ?
thanks.
After you run laps. Watch the replay with all the information on the screen. It'll show up in 3 different spots plus the finish. Do not include the lap time in your splits though. Big no-no.
I generally watch the replay afte rhitting [] twice you get the overlay, i just hit select @ the T's to pause..
aaaah.. of course. replay!! thanks :)
one thing though with the replay is it replays the whole session before exit doesnt it so you might have to sit through a few laps before you get to your sweet shiny fast one. theres no way of skipping laps is there? .. i'd goto replay after each half decent lap but that 'go on ! push through the line.. you can do better than that' spirit takes over :)
You can save a replay with only your fastest lap of the session you just driven, by choosing 'Save ghost replay' after your session. That way you only save your best lap.
Afterwards you can open that replay in the Replay Theatre. That way you only have your hot lap, and don't have to waste time sitting through all your other laps. That's the way how we all do it around here. Hope it helps :)
If you know what lap was your fastest, you can fast forward to it using I believe is R1. On the DFP, it's the downshift paddle.
@Magdelayna: A maxdrive is required for Div1 drivers and the top driver of Div2 and Div3 for verification. Submittion is a PM to CFM stating your name, division, and best, clean lap time. NOTE: only send 1 PM submittion. He does get alot and multiple submittions make extra headache.
Al-RIGHT! Splits that I'm not ashamed of! Must be the GT Mode race. I always seem to be able to tune the car to my style, though I'll wager that others trying it may find it oversteery...
T1 12.901 (seen 12.792)
T2 27.868 (seen 27.761)
T3 55.812
Only using 4 gears this week.
Here are my preliminary settings:
Brakes 5/5
Springs 8.5/7.5
Height 110/115
Dampers Fr/Rr 5/8 , 5/8
Camber Fr/Rr 2.5/0.5
Toe Fr/Rr 0/-1
Stab Fr/Rr 4/7
LSD 5/15/5
This setup is working for me, taking a bit to tame it on corners, too much understeer so dramtically went to 0/10/2 assists and am working the understeer down to see whats best, probly will end up around 6.
Really wish we didn't have to tune here, this car was SO much fun at stock!
Well I'm about screwed right now. My tempary cockpit broke on me. I'll try to get one build by this weekend. It's hard to get supplies without a vehicle to get them with. :irked: :grumpy:
Way too much understeer for me.
I lowered LSD to 5/5/5, stabilizers to 1/1, but I still have to release the throttle so that the car can exit turns without going straight ahead into the wall.
Anyone has a suggestion to have this brick oversteer ? (except mounting R5s of course).
Or else I'll put a big 'FOR SALE' sign on my brand new Jag. (only 30.3 km, it's a bargain).
Best T3 at 57.769, loads of time to find at all turns, but chances are this is gonna be the lap I'll submit.
I'm sure we'll work out the tuning for it flat-out :) Somehow we'll get this ***** handling how it did @ stock cause i SOOOO loved it then!
shockwaveracing
yeah i added the rigidity to my car and maybe that is why i can't dial out the understeer..
Stabiliser: F - 5; R - 4 (Agin to try and get some rear steer)
this is only a preliminary setup, still ironing out the bugs...
Yo shockwave,
To dial in oversteer, you want to increase rear stabilizer and reduce front. Try going higher rear than front.
T1 - :12.811
