GT4 WRS Week 3: "4WDriving School"

Did about 20 laps last night and came up with rather mediocre times after looking at you guys' times :

T1 : 27.2
T2 : 1:03.3

Settings :

Controller : DFP
Driving Aids : None
Tyres (Sport) : Soft both
Gearbox : Manual

Brillaint Dan, im doin the last sector just as you described but i leave it in 4th for the last right hander. Do you think its better to shift down to 3rd?.

Your first sector walkthrough is good i was in 4th for that section, lol, i will try 3rd now hopefully i can shave .4 off or so .

Definitely third gear small fryz, because you want maximum tourque.
I have a question for u people about rules when driving. are you allowed to cross over the white line after you exit the first left corner after T1, i'm still on tarmac but i'm not sure if ur allowed to or not?

Yes, that section is legal to run on, at least in the WRS.👍

I also drive on that part of the track sometimes ... I assumed it was still part of the track .. If not then I'm sure CFM will put us straight asap 👍

I would like to ask the same question about that corner, as I also cross the white line ... but as far as the rules go it says 2 wheels on tarmac always (or at least 2 on the rumble strips as well) ? So it shoud be fine ??

Had a quick session with this and came up with

The lap is just horrible! It feels so slow because I'm going sideways through some corners. You need to be very careful with the brakes on this thing The long, round uphill left is a pain in the arse, I always kick the throttle in too early. I have to be more patient..

Ran a few laps, running T2s in the 1'03.1 range. VERY fun car to drive!

Yes I agree, very different car this ... brake to hard and turn and there's huge oversteer, then try to power out and it just turns into major understeer I though I always preferred FF cars, but the last couple of months I really prefer getting the tail out ... I think that's the answer to hits car, get tail out for corner and then gently use throttle to not have understeer ...

Also when I replayed my best lap I saw it was oversteering although I did not realise it while driving

was curious as to how many drivers were in d3/d2 and was counting them up ( 75 in d3/64 in d2) didn't see you anywhere!

Had numerous 0'26.3xx T1's but always seem to be slower to the finish. It's only a matter of time before i make one 'stick.'

I get the feeling there's going to be a few ties this week. Some very close racing going on.

*Edit* Managed to see one of those 0'26.3xx T1's through to the finish. Best splits so far for me:

T2 1'01.262
